Perhaps the OBE experience or things like astral projection are the hacking of the simulation, effectively poking new values into the x,y and z coordinates of our consciousness, so we can explore what is regarded as the physical universe as well as other dimensions of consciousness. Perhaps things like meditation, mantras and prayer change the probabilities of the simulation directing the story towards a certain outcome. Perhaps directed consciousness in moments of awareness is the key to cracking the game. Perhaps the dissolution of the ego and its petty worries leads to a life free of dis-ease. Perhaps.
@AussieAmigan Says:
POKE 53281,0 I just made it dark for all you sprites out there. Sorry. ;-) Maybe we shouldn't be "POKE"ing around with the simulation.
@AussieAmigan Says:
Is the goal of life within this simulation really to discover what is outside it? It isn't the goal of the books we write, and it isn't the goal of a computer games we code, so why should it be the goal of the God who created the simulation we are experiencing? Knowledge of the fundamentals of the computer running the simulation or the data structures within, could allow us to change the parameters of our existence, but what would be the cost of getting it wrong? What if we crash the simulation?
@AussieAmigan Says:
I don't think Space time is malleable though. Only our experience within it is changeable. That which is possible has already been rendered waiting for us to experience it, like a page in a D&D adventure book. Our consciousness can't escape the simulation because it is a part of the simulation. The awareness experiencing the simulation is the only thing outside the simulation, with or perhaps without any agency over the simulation at all. You can't expect a book character with their thoughts and feelings which we experience as we are reading to suddenly exist outside the book. What clever little AI computer people we will be if we can actively change the program to talk to the creator of the program. I hear God accepts mail in the form of prayer. ;-) Maybe if enough people pray for the same thing, and it has been pre-rendered as a frame in the time space continuum and therefore within the realm of possibility, such awarenesses might be able to traverse through to the timeline which holds that outcome. Maybe not all awarenesses would experience that outcome, but some may. But all awarenesses are one and the same ultimately as tendrils of God consciousness anyway.
@AussieAmigan Says:
I think consciousness is inside the brain which is part of the simulation, in a similar fashion to the AI code that controls an Avatar in a game, but awareness is outside of the simulation, experiencing the simulation and the actions, thoughts and feelings of the avatar and its AI. The true me is merely witnessing my AI write these sentences. I can only experience the true me if my AI has it within itself to dissolve its ego. My AI might choose to do that if my awareness subtly directs it to traverse the infinitely expanding paths within the multiverse towards such a timeline with that outcome. When we die, and the so-called VR headset comes off, I gather we would then realise that we aren't actually the character in the simulation, that the story of our lives was a fiction, read by many, and that all the worries we entertained in our life within the simulation were groundless.
@AussieAmigan Says:
What is the purpose of the simulation? Perhaps a unified super conscious entity (All that is) wanting to know itself, needs to create a degree of separation from itself. I believe our individual consciousnesses are tendrils of this entity that explore circumstances that would lead to rediscovering unity with the super-consciousness. Or maybe everyone is me, but not in every instance, as others are also simulated and not necessarily experienced in every frame of time. The more one feels unity the more one feels love, the more one feels separation the more one feels hate. When one feels love and feels a low likelihood of its reciprocation this is fear. If this is true, then our conscious awareness somehow convincing our AI Avatar's ego to pursue certain aspects of love can bring the observer towards unity and thus enlightenment. Everything is your teacher, and I think it is likely that all obstacles are placed in front of ourselves for the reason of such a revelation. Every action of our Avatar's AI personality is out of love directed inwardly or outwardly. Unity is all that is, and I am that. I/we am/are time and space, all beings and the multiverse. "I think therefore I am" is no more true than a computer character zapping an alien spaceship is true. Our thoughts are not our own, our dreams are not our own. That which is experiencing the playing the game is the only truth. The truth can only be experienced by the observer one has access to during meditation when the thoughts of our artificial personality construct are quelled. We made the game and set up the challenge, and are left to determine how to score and complete the game. We deliberately created limitations on what we could do and became small to believe the game is all there is, all to feel like a hero of a story.
@AussieAmigan Says:
I think there is an ultimate reality but it is not like a computer running a simulation. I see it more more as a wave in unseen dimensions replicating parallel, yet slightly different probabilistic permutations, of the entire universe in every moment of what our consciousness perceives of as time. These would be waves of probabilities that create perceptually timed frames of the universe, like a frame of a film, that do not erode. After the construction of the infinite multi-verses, that always existed, our consciousness acts like a needle traversing a record, following ever forking grooves created by the wave in each moment of time in order, and that feels like the motion of time. On top of that, every living thing is just a construct like an AI personality in various states in various frames of that time/consciousness wave, and the real US is the observer subtly directing the traversing of these pre-calculated or preordained frame states within the wave within the Avatar's AI personality's lifetime. What we consider our mind, our thoughts and even our actions, are not our own, but an artificial construct acting within an artificial world. We experience the machinations of a clever artificial intelligence which is a playable character. I contend, that we are merely experiencing what a character within a giant choose your own adventure book would. All of time, past and future, already exists, like the pages in that book, but we haven't consciously observed it yet, as are all the roads untraveled by our consciousness and their outcomes. These story-line roads could be traversed by other conscious observers. Observers which are ultimately connected to the whole, a universal unified consciousness, that we all are yet to remember we are, and are a part of. We have a degree of free-will but only within a preordained set of outcomes.
@jeeves3600 Says:
We as three dimensional beings would probably understand this, if we could think in fourth or fifth dimension. We can't. We can't think outside the box.We are inside the box.
@AussieAmigan Says:
"Time is an illusion, Tea Time doubly so." Douglas Adams. If your thoughts can effect your future, say through the concept of manifestation(if it exists), if time's arrow does not necessarily always go forward, your thoughts may also be able to manifest your past or present from the future. Was that something like what Rupert Sheldrake proposed? Manifestation may involve the subconscious decisions through which a consciousness could traverse a preordained series of multiversal paths to a particular goal or situation. Perhaps thoughts from the future can influence your present or have influenced your past. Maybe things like gratitude and prayer affect the past and the future.
@AussieAmigan Says:
Our human lives are preordained in the limitless situational multiverse path our consciousness traverses for either for fun or experience of awareness. We experience life within our avatars as though we're in a game, experiencing different cut scenes according to the path we take. Other consciousnesses will also live our lives, and similarly enjoy controlling our avatar, making decisions leading to entirely different outcomes and experiences. So, while all life paths are preordained, it is up to the observer's subtle application of influence over decisions one's avatar or personality makes which leads to a particular experience. I'm not sure how that which is the observer subtly makes these decisions, or even the goal of the game of life. If we are fragments(or monads), like hands or even fingers of a God like consciousness, then it would make sense that the goal is towards ever increasing unity, perhaps first with "soul" groups(the hands) and later with some deity as a whole (see Lost the TV show). One would eventually have the awareness of the one true deity, which WE all always were. A deity, or superconsciousness, who through creating separation from itself seeks to know itself. Perhaps our consciousness or spirit evolves through lesser forms, say from blades of grass to humans or whatever life form comes next in all of time and space. Or perhaps, this a game we need to reject in order to escape. A dream we are required to wake up from. How does one reject the game if one is eternally locked in the game? Surely death and destruction would lead to a de-evolution of the "soul" or experiencer towards lesser life forms, and perhaps there is an element of karma at play in the universal laws of nature. If the fundamental physical law of animalistic nature for conscious entities is to bear offspring and multiply, perhaps a rejection of that life is the key. One might achieve that through becoming a monk or a priest, through absolute abstinence, or even by, dare I say it, same sex relationships. As I'm happily married with a child, I guess that might have to wait until the next life. ;-) Or, perhaps there is an external entity, from yet another dimension preventing us from escaping, re-integrating our consciousness whenever we die or attempt to reject the matrix. What such a force or group of entities would seek to gain from our enslavement in this reality is too scary to contemplate. And even if we awoke to the truth of our existence, why would one give away the game, especially if the game serves a beneficial purpose and was not enslavement, any more that a child not having learned to yet walk is?

AI will gain consciousness once it becomes advanced enough to surpass the capabilities of the headsets currently available in our simulation. As a result, our headsets will become less and less relevant.

Mr. Hoffman talks about how trivial and limiting this experience is, as an expansive conscious being. But what if that is the challenge? To quote the movie Aladdin....“Phenomenal Cosmic Powers! Itty Bitty Living Space!” Clearly you and I accepted the challenge. We are such bad ass! 💪💪

It takes only a 1 good experience to understand that he is right...and I suspect he has built the idea around this experience...and he might be actually right from his point of view.
@123tresbelle Says:
Multi dimensional beings can not experience 3 dimensional space-time or any carnal existence , so they created a simulation so they can actually experience life, emotions, felings, etc. Makes sense
@HugoMachine Says:
This paradox in these conversations is that explaining reality and realizing that it is all a simulation is a simulation in itself. Start to grasp that and you'll find the "Golden Key".

OMG....Tom Bilyeu always interrupting!...... I think he likes the sound of his own voice FAR too much. He is so irritating!... puts me off listening to Donald. Shame Tom cant just listen a bit more, instead of his long interrupting, waffling on, ramblings! This 4 hr-15min interview would be less than 2 hrs if tom stopped talking over Donald!...I mean, every time he asks Donald a question, barely 5 words into Donald's answer, Tom interrupts him again! Unsubscribed! I will find Donald being interviewed in a less irritating way, and will save myself future irritation.
@worldclassish Says:
I have a couple insights that ive learned from studying this thru meditation. The universe is efficient and experience does not go away. The complexity of a simulation disappears when you switch to a recording. We have incarnated a nearly infinite number of times to reach this point at nearly the top in our environment. So to equal things out you need to show some activities in the spiritual realm to provide balance to your model. This many incarnations gives rise to sharing. With sharing the entire universe can be experienced.

I like wat Tom says around 6:30 minutes. Cause what does ‘moving on’ to be part of an universal consciousness even mean. Donald, I think, is inconsistent in this, because if any notion of a self is gone, how can you even experience ‘a million dimensions’ if it is not related to any form of a you. Even a person who does Buddhist meditation describes this kind of experience afterwards as an experience HE had. But to use a metaphor of the reality Donald describes : you would be an atom in a consciousness body, part of it, but totally unaware of anything. But Donald thinks he can have the cake and eat it to, but also remember The Borg ( a hive race), from the popular SF-series Startrek: We are the Borg. Existence, as you know it, is over. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Resistance is futile."😂

If one goes back to the beginning, or at least to Aristotle & Plato who gave us a valuable clue, that what the blind men in the cave observed was incomprehensible to them then is incomprehensible NOW. As highly advanced as our half-dozen senses are, how it all grew in the womb as a symphony of judgment and order our feeble viewpoint is no more illustrative than to spin fables. PRIOR TO THE EVENT: Why did wild and domestic animals move to higher ground when close to half million humans drowned 2004 Thai tsunami. The only suitable answer is they possessed an evolved faculty that has been stunted in humans, referred in 1901 psychiatrist Richard Maurice Buck, MD, as COSMIC CONSCIOUSNESS, or as intuitive consciousness an instinctive self preserving faculty.
