People in the UK are being sentenced not for 'posting' but for 'inciting a riot'. That's a criminal offense throughout the US too. There's nothing new about this, and misrepresenting it doesn't help. The First Amendment does not protect you and has never protected you from arrest for certain speech offenses, and inciting a riot is one of those. The people imprisoned in the UK were doing things like telling people to burn down hotels full of asylum seekers while riots were already in progress. There were organisers of the Jan 6th riot who didn't attend who are currently in prison in the US for instigating the assault on the Capitol building. No one has been prosecuted for 'pre-crime' in the UK and it's against our constitutional bill of rights (you know, the same document your Founding Fathers copied from us). If you spent less time online, you wouldn't believe these internet conspiracies about the UK riots (which were started because of lies and conspiracies on the internet that said the killer of the children was a Muslim asylum seeker when in fact they were a British born Christian). If you don't want to go to prison in the UK, don't take to social media in the middle of a riot and call for innocent people to be murdered and then you won't have to worry about being arrested for 'posting'.
