The have Jeff the have not the workers braking there bodys working day and night to make it all happen and still not getting a living wage.
@RipMinner Says:
Jeff in fact did steal his wealth. From his workers. By not sharing the weslth being generated by the combination of Jeffs ideals and the workers making it happen. And this sad story has been repeated many times over in America.
@oredaze Says:
Things are not all good or all bad. Black and white mindset is too simplistic to represent the world properly. Bezos is not all good for giving us amazon nor is he all bad for hoarding all the money. Same with other things. The point is that we currently have the ability to make the world vastly better, but we don't. Also things are slowly creeping more towards the bad. Everyone is becoming lazy. It takes effort to improve the world. Just sitting and doing nothing won't preserve the status quo, because life tends to become bad on it's own if left unchecked. And voting for some politician doesn't do anything. It is there to appease the masses, making them feel like they have some kind of control. It keeps you from rocking the boat too much. The universe naturally tends to accrete most things in few places: matter gathers together to form galaxies, people clump in cities, very few words get most of the use in a language, etc. Same with money - they gather in few people. But everything humanity did since the dawn of time is to fight nature to improve our lives. We should be doing something to keep this wealth centralization in check. Also politics are too rigid. You can't go from one system to an other. Democracy, socialism, capitalism, equal outcome society, etc. They are all bad. These categories need to be dropped and things need to be tweaked incrementally regardless of what technique falls into what category. Like Bruce Lee said there is no best martial art. You need to take the good techniques from all and discard the bad.

Rich ppl do not care about basic needs they only care about profits, money greed, the root of all evil, but yet so-called Christians support greed.

Inflation comes with equivalent market chance if you are early informed and well-equipped. I've seen folks on verified posts that turned millionaires amid economic downtrend, and pull it off easily in a favorable economy, it all boils down to proper asset allocation.

Of course, you're optimistic Tom.You're a millionaire.Try being a dirty bum like me at 62.With nothing who rents my retirement plan is death so good.I'm glad you're fucking optimistic
@digitalnduja8503 Says:
I feel like there could have been more pushback from Tom here. Unregulated capitalism leads to monopoly which inhibits innovation far more effectively than regulation. There is loads of evidence of this which David seems happy to ignore. The impacts on our culture of inequality are also well evidenced. David would have us go back to the time of children in coal mines.

Lenin: "give me 1 generation of young people and I will completely change the world" - imagine a world built on principled morality, treating others how you would like to be treated, each encouraged to be 'the change' - teaching, promoting and rewarding self-control, kindness, respect, support, encouragement, gentleness, goodness, peaceability....
@abittyman Says:
This guy is a child. What an idiot lol
@dant3175 Says:
This clown is so out of touch. CEOs pay themselves as much as possible and the people at the bottom of the company as little as possible. People aren't mad because they're envious. They're mad because you're paying yourself millions and timing your employees' bathroom breaks. They're mad because you're on a yacht and literally have ambulances lined up outside your warehouses to take away employees after they collapse from exhaustion. WTF is wrong with these absolute psychopaths? This guy would have felt right at home in the feudal age.
@sk7262 Says:
I'm all for people getting what they worked for and enjoy success. It's only when they exploit, flaunt and carry the carbon foot print of a small nation for a person that doesn't care.... (that covers a lot of super rich) with what we have we share what we can. if you need $1B to live your lifestyle its not cool for the planet or the others that share it with you
@SuperREJV Says:
Why does it have to be one or the other? Can't we aim for a balance? Equal opportunity and UBI for those who want the minimum?
@ecarlsen Says:
Wow this was pretty idiotic exchange. Talk about tone deaf.
@ChrisRamirezOnline Says:
Very good interview segment
@irrealislife Says:
Complete ignores the fact that what they “worked for” was actually less than 1% of all man hours, intelligence, ingenuity, and innovation that went into building the and operating the business that made them rich. Amazon was the poster boy for poor working conditions and terrible compensation. Getting rich off of the work of other people that had few better alternatives is not “good old fashioned hard work” by the people who kept all the proceeds.

@yassiguy Says:
This guy is full of BS.
@yassiguy Says:
Well capitalism can also lead to the dark ages like the one that lead to the french revolution. Capitalism depends on the bottomless greed of the Rich to grow their wealth by investing in new ventures. For every penny added to the median wealth of a nation, a thousand dollars must be added to the rich man's treasure cove and tomorrow it will one penny for every ten thousand dollars.
@SpencerFrench-h6l Says:
Loved Tom’s story! I am so paranoid about work ethic being driven into my kids. They all work. My 12,10,8 year old boys have a lawn mowing business. And they complain about the heat and difficulty of doing multiple lawns but they have no idea how learning work ethic will help them tremendously in life no matter what they decide to do.
@alilafont Says:
Amazon is the absolute opposite of progress. Local businesses destroyed so we can have crap shipped halfway across the planet to save a few cents? Miserable factory workers. Progress would be if Amazon were dismantled and small businesses came back.
@Mike93527 Says:
I don’t give a shit about comparing myself to someone else, at least that’s not what’s making me miserable. It’s the fact that I can’t work 60 hours a week and afford a place to live by myself. Period. I make more and more and never make any actual progress towards this goal of having a place to live where I can also afford to live
@Fightesst Says:
US is not a capitalistic society since 100 years ago.
@chefbrian26 Says:
Man so many clueless people in the comments. He is saying entrepreneurs and people creating positive innovations are not the problem in fact they are the solution. Which is shown throughout history. The problem is government backed corporations operating in lockstep. That’s the reason for inflation and wages not keeping up. While you all blame the biz owners the gov is slowly pushing you towards socialism/marxism to lock up all the power and take everything that’s left from you.
@chefbrian26 Says:
Stop saying Winston Churchill is a controversial figure. Stop giving into the delusional of judging people of past under present standards.
@lovman Says:
Libertarian techbro, techno-optimist creates strawman of socialism vs capitalism and declares dark ages are coming unless we listen to the concentrated power of monoplist platforms coming from Silicon Valley, along with all the other anti-democratic platitudes. And they are fine with guvment, as long as they have captured it through intensive lobbying and inherent corruption enabling the public-private surveillance partnership. Innovation and entrepreneurial spirit is fine, as long as dominant monopoly platforms are not allowed to control the economy and the government for the pleasure of a few plutocrats.
@classicalmechanic8914 Says:
People from communist East Germany risked their life climbing over walls and barbed wire to escape to capitalist West Germany.
@fred.nestler814 Says:
WRONG!! THE ESTABLISHMENT HAS "RIGGED" THE TAXATION----TO FAVOR THE ALREADY WEALTHY! THIS LOPSIDED THEFT WILL CONTINUE TO SEPARATE THE MASSES--EMBRACING THE RICH.
@german.gorbachov Says:
The problem is the government and the outdated legislation that was formed to benefit first and foremost old school capitalists. Now that the capitalism is dead, this guy is talking about putting makeup on a zombie. We are alreadyin the dark ages. Techno-feudalism is here and reigning upon western world. The most disappointing guest in this show so far.

@blade20001 Says:
So what happens when elon bezos other like them have all the money? Also, ppl don't want to take what they have thats bs only right. Thinking that way, they want everything none for everyone else it's just really greed to the max.

@quantumtechcrypto7080 Says:
Jeff Bezos is a terrible example. He is subsidized by the government and he has connections that normal folks don’t have. He was created. He didn’t steal wealth he was set up for it. His businesses being subsidized gives him an advantage over mom and pops that we won’t have in our communities. What’s terrible example of self made. That’s BS
@Plexi417 Says:
This guy is glossing over a ton of negative shit regarding Amazon.

@CyrusYareff Says:
Yeah come on people, Jeff besos is simply more successful than everyone. He's just that much smarter. Get smart. This interview is turning me off to Tom
@robertgoehner5515 Says:
Your guest is stating BS, if he thinks Jeff Bezos hasn’t Cheated, Stolen and Swindled other people to get ahead. I’d rather pay more to have local businesses. Some day the pitch forks are going to rise up. History shows this.
