How do you confront a pastor with anti-biblical ideas?

????

In Matthew 7:15, Jesus tells us to watch out for false prophets who come to us in sheep's clothing but inwardly are vicious wolves. So what's the best way to confront a pastor who starts throwing up red flags in your church and sharing ideas that go against what is taught in the Bible? Should you simply leave the church or tough it out? It can be a hard road to travel, but Alisa Childers breaks it all down here! ???? ???????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????? ???Letters to a Young Progressive by Mike Adams????????https://cutt.ly/fI4jlNY ??Another Gospel? by Alisa Childers????????https://bit.ly/3Ig6KDc ???? ???????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????????????????????? Anti-biblical ideas like The Rapture/7-yr Tribulation?
@2ndPigeon Says:
It's unbiblical for a woman to teach a man so this whole video is a nice irony milkshake.
@enterthebruce91 Says:
1st Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV is the gospel. P.S the position of a paid 'Pastor' isn't Biblical. There's not one New Testament example of one paid preacher. Jesus and the apostles weren't paid to teach and preach. The position of a salaried preacher has traditional justification only, not Biblical justification. Yes, there were pastors, bishops, elders, deacons, evangelists and apostles in the New Testament but none of them were actually paid once, let alone salaried, unlike today. There are too many hirelings in the body of Christ. No one should expect financial compensation for simply teaching the Bible. Salvation is a free gift. Trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ exclusively as the complete payment for your sins and you will be saved. Happy Easter everyone!

The question, as well as the title of the video, was "How" not "What". She answered the "what" to do, not the "how". HOW specifically do you approach it? What spirit do you employ? What questions do you ask? Etc, etc. That is the question, that is the "how". :))
@jor9516 Says:
She‘s talking about Christians having „the guts“ to speak out alone in the chamber with the pastor. First of all, the whole church system is a fraud. We‘re meant to meet in congregations, no matter where. Not in „churches“. I mean it is good to have a building, but still. Search the greek goddess „Circe“ and you‘ll understand why Tyndale was forced by somebody to use it for the assembly (ekklesia in greek). Same as Erasmus of Rotterdam was forced to add the Comma Johanneum into 1. John 5:7.. After he insisted that there is no such thing as „three witnesses in heaven, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit“. That‘s how the „holy“ Textus Receptus aka. Lutheran and KJV Bibles came from. Essentially the whole pulpit logic is false. If one person as a leader has too much authority, he suppresses the other believers. The assembly is meant to be more like a round table. And if there is ever a temporary „leader“ then there needs go be switched places sometimes. Because we have only one Master, only one Authority and that is Jesus Christ himself. So if Christians HAD the guts, they could still not speak in front of all the people. Because they‘re getting mocked, slandered and kicked out of the „church“ before they even started opeing their mouths.

Ironic considering the bible supports slavery yet most pastors don't support slavery in their daily lives. So most pastors would thereby have anti biblical ideas.

Just for a moment stop and consider you may finally have met an honest pastor.

Frederick Douglass told in his Narrative how his condition as a slave became worse when his master underwent a religious conversion that allowed him to justify slavery as the punishment of the children of Ham. Mark Twain described his mother as a genuinely good person, whose soft heart pitied even Satan, but who had no doubt about the legitimacy of slavery, because in years of living in antebellum Missouri she had never heard any sermon opposing slavery, but only countless sermons preaching that slavery was God's will. With or without religion, good people can behave well and bad people can do evil; but for good people to do evil — that takes religion. -Steven Weinberg

@JK-om1ry Says:
The definition of a Christian is someone who follows Christ. So saying "Progressive Christian" is like saying married Bachelor, dry water, or Pigs with wings that fly. It just doesn't exist. More appropriate words would be devil worshiper or Satanic person.

You're supposed to bring it to the elders and together confront the pastor.
@captainmarvel76927 Says:
Ahhh authority authority...what we hear is the consequences of Martin Luther's neo Korah rebellion from numbers....why doesn't this couple actually read the bible...its all in the book of Acts...Christ Commissioned his Apostles as the first Bishops and they commissioned other bishops...priests and deacons for the Church Militant on Earth to expand the Kingdom of Heaven. Most "pastors today" should not preach...do not have authority..have no way to prove they were called...are heretics...and worship mammon 501c3. So much for one faith one baptism.
@Torby4096 Says:
Had a pastor who seemed to know a lot about the pre-creation that was destroyed before Adam and Eve. I just quietly went somewhere else where the word is preached, not fantacy.
@MISNEGRASLINDAS Says:
I wander if being disobedience to Jesus is antibiblical,if it is why no one's obey Jesus's teachings... "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I tell you? (Luke 6:46, ESV) Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. (Luke 12:33, ESV) But give as alms those things that are within, and behold, everything is clean for you. (Luke 11:41, ESV) So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:33, ESV)
@170221dn Says:
Crikey, that is hard core. I always thought Christians more or less did what they want and claim it is biblical, are they saying Christians should all live by the bible?
@trippbomshell5590 Says:

@unc1589 Says:
Wait… we haven’t heard the actual change. Progressive Christian views? Which ones? How do you define a wolf? Calling pastors out is a very serious thing. New Christians don’t have the discernment to understand bad doctrine. They’re coming to church (many for the first time) and if Christ be in that church just a smidge, He’s teaching them! I never heard a pastor that didn’t interpret the scripture inaccurately at least once or twice. Grabbing your kids and leaving is a bit of a splash. If you must leave it’s best to go quietly. Just make sure you’ve applied biblical mechanisms before you go.
@mrstevens70 Says:
Yes, find some clarity(meet with the pastor)....there may be some misunderstanding. If your pastor still is not teaching Jesus's word(sound doctrine) then it's time to leave.
@jlar1984 Says:
Wolves are those who mislead with Ill motives. Knowingly leading astray for personal gain. There are also ignorant leaders who may lack understanding.
@sierraclark6129 Says:
“If you declare with your mouth “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). Now is the time to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. Obey His commands and repent of your sins because Jesus is coming back soon. Tomorrow isn’t promised.
@SteveC-Aus Says:
This is the problem when you don't have Apostolic succession and a central authority, anyone can be a "Pastor" and interpret Holy Scripture any way that they please or like, that is why there are thousands of Protestant "churches" all teaching different and often contradictory theology, but all claiming to be guided by the Holy Spirit.
@thepbrchannel9792 Says:
Great advice! Yes, this MUST be confronted head on. But leaving the church is the second best thing we can do... #1 is removing the pastor. [Yes, I am a pastor!]
@dannysuarez1960 Says:
Did she literally pinpoint the situation vaguely??
@MutsPub Says:
There is no, none, zero point in addressing a "wolf" pastor! Just leave and find a Bible teaching Church that is NOT "woke" or based on folklore theology. There will be and are, false teachers.
@rorywynhoff1549 Says:
1Ti 5:19-21 Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses. 20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 21 I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.
@maranatha8524 Says:
It’s never the pastor that ‘teaches’ us. His only role is to shepherd the flock. In plainer words, he points us in the correct direction. Hopefully in correct biblical doctrine. It is ALWAYS the Holy Spirit that teaches us all things!!!🙋‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🙏

Anyone who preaches a false gospel let them be accursed. - Galatians We need to warn and stay on what the Bible says. We all go a stray but the bible also says let the Bible be for correction or reproof.
@Happyxcamper Says:
The Bible says when you go among the wolves be as shrewd & wise as snakes, but as gentle & kind as doves. Just tell them point blank what they're getting wrong about scripture & see whether they are actually a wolf in response or just a dog. There's a difference. One will be disobedient by will, the other obedient but might quarrel for a bit till you point it out in scripture.
@SumiOccult Says:

@TheMidnightModder Says:
When confronting anyone, have your bible verses and sources in hand. Make it undeniable so that if they deny it, you can in good faith rebuke them or warn them of hell.
@WhatYourPastorDidntTellYou Says:
This assumes that the person complaining about false doctrine is right. Telling someone, who is probably much more qualified on biblical doctrine than you, that they are wrong should be taken in an approach of humility with a goal to understand. Once understanding a person’s view, said person can then confront on whether said view is contradictory to scripture.
@regstoy Says:
In today's episode of "shite we can make god botherers believe" we hear, how you should leave a church, where they say it is alright to wear clothes of two different materials, or eat shellfish.....nah, we know real 'christians' don't care about that stuff, they care about, same sex marriages and how their god might love LGBT people, or heaven help us, the planet is older than 6,500 years.
@js-tw3vs Says:
Protect yourself from the false gospel, look up word of faith heresy, it's the foundation to a lot of what is hurting the church now.
@Yipper64 Says:
This is part of why Christianity stands out as the true religion. It teaches that even leaders need to be held accountable to the bible. It teaches this to be especially important in fact. Because think about it, what is the point of most false religions? Sure in part for people to feel like they have a purpose in this vast world, to feel like life has meaning... But those are feelings we have to bring us towards the true God. The point of most false religions is to control people. And if the leaders cant be questioned, if the leaders can change their teachings all they want, then it is probably effective at doing that. So the fact this isnt something in Christianity to me, goes to show how true it is.
@lucrayzor9657 Says:
A lot of the resistance Christians put up against progressive ideas seems to stem mostly from the way they interpret the scripture… people have found plenty of ways to interpret it in a way that supports it too. How do we know that your interpretation alone is correct and theirs isn’t? How do you know you’re not the real wolf?
@angelofwit Says:

@lilchristuten7568 Says:
Wolves aren't just pastors, sheep aren't just people who don't know much. The sheep are the flock of Christ, wolves are those who pretend to be of Christ who teach heresy as truth.
@AllThingsArePossible Says:
The problem as I see it, is that nowadays, we have all these YouTube Christian experts such as Alisa, whom I appreciate very much, but these people who are not pastors are advising people on how to handle pastors I think and be very dangerous… There are so many heretic hunters and YouTube channels espousing advice is if they know every witch way a believer should approach a given situation and at the end of the day it’s mostly opinionated… And it just frightens me how we promote methods like this. We have to look very carefully at why Jesus was calling leaders wolves… And it wasn’t just because of a difference of opinion on theology… Wolves are people that are not in love with Jesus that are looking to divert and destroy peoples faith. You cannot simply call a Pastor a wolf because of a difference in theological viewpoints.
@IronSharpensIron127 Says:
It's extremely hard to see what the t-shirts say
@AllThingsArePossible Says:
It all depends on the issue - this is a grossly vague approach which can lead to some terrible slander and defamation if not very careful.
@sewing1243 Says:
In Churches with a strong Board of Deacons (or similar supervisory group) I think I'd be asking board members why they are allowing the pastor to espouse those views and are they going to do anything about it. If they don't see an issue or support the Pastor's positions then it's time to find a new Church. If they are aware and the majority plan on disciplining the Pastor or replacing him then one can probably wait and give the process a chance to work.
