10:46 CGI IS SO COOL!!!!!!1111

The sad thing is that the fans are still simping as hard as ever. They ignore all the false claims and focus on the future, because they have for some reason attached their mental health to his lies, and they're in too deep to admit they've been wrong this whole time.
@cullen3624 Says:
The thing that I hate about the fans of rocket Jesus is they'll butcher you and abuse you and then when shit happens, they just vanish into the long grass with their tails between their legs and you never hear from them again, they're allowed to get away with it.
@jamescampbell8482 Says:
Carbon fiber that is notorious for de laminating, yeah, that will hold up great under vacuum. /s

The combined IQ of the TV presenters in the shows is easily beaten by a common pair of socks. But Trump and Musk understand something: If you are outrageous enough, people stop thinking and will just gawk in awe. So make it 500 mph in a curvy tunnel and they'll be "Oooooh" instead of asking what g-forces the average, obese US passenger would "enjoy". And they'll still go "Oooooh" when the "demo" only does 30mph. And as for fires, breakdowns, etc. and access for aid personell or escape routes - oh, it's the US where everything is safe until enough people have died to reconsider. So .. all is well, where can I invest?

That LA office is just a quonset hut, like they use I the military for temporary bases.

We wonder why our nation is so screwed. The WHORE media should be held accountable for their culpability.

Retired Systems Engineer/ CCS guy here. OMG i would have been so fired if I had proposed something this ridiculous! 🤔😂 Some figuring with crayons on the back of a placemat while waiting for dinner would be enough to rule this out. Great stuff!

What'a really funny is how no one has pointed out how that Los Angeles tunnel was just his own private tunnel from home to work at SpaceX 😅 the man has so many shenanigans, some of them still go unnoticed.
@leiag201 Says:
What an embarrassment 😂. That thing is nothing but a paper weight.
@tatata1543 Says:
The worrying thing is the way that journalists gush over whatever his latest harebrained scheme is. The basically run infomercials for his nonsense.
@kuei1215 Says:
Why does a pod in a vacuum tube need o be aerodynamic?
@stanleyklein524 Says:
His CGI is not very impressive (and that constitutes the sole contribution of a good 80% of his "confident" projects). People who support this fool (worm holes!? False equivalence and piss poor analogies are a sure sign of pompous, self-deceptive arrogance) are a large part of the problem. They enable humanity's demise.
@stanleyklein524 Says:
If trump needed a lying coach, musk would be an ideal choice.
@stanleyklein524 Says:
musk showing off his impressive intellect -- he has shown the conceivability (in his "mind" anyway) of an oxygenated vacuum. The really scary part is the realization that many people (adults?) take his word as gospel.
@stanleyklein524 Says:
I bet elon was "confident" we would see the hyperloop in a year at most (starting in 2019 or so). Now it is as common as the dodo bird (save for Las Vegas -- the original home of that extinct avian).
@attractor9 Says:
but it seems to be a working money making mashine.
@Dodoskee Says:
If he really had a tunneling machine capable of digging a mile a week he would make billions simply selling that!!
@Dodoskee Says:
One quick question: if it's supposed to travel in a vacuum, why lose all that passenger space for the aerodynamic tip? You could make it flat if it truly travels in a vacuum and it wouldn't change a thing. In a truly frictionless vacuum scenario breaking is probably one of the biggest challenges...
@DrUrlf Says:
The combination of "futuristic" and "traffic tunnel" is somethign I never thought I would ever hear.

They are just wasting tax payers money. Plus the lack of objectivity in journalism is frightening.

I don't understand how people take him seriously when he talks about an air hockey table in a vacuum.
@urbanspaceman7183 Says:
The valve is on the side, rails don't go through it.
@Ethanschell-y7i Says:
Holy shit I hope they have oxygen on the ready for every person in case a small leak in the capsule forms... Cause the air will suck out of their lungs fast in that tube if containment fails. Honestly this simply looks like they wanted to experiment how many ways you can kill a person in a tube.
@Subtlenimbus Says:
At least they are thinking ahead and making the vehicle aerodynamic, because they are going to ditch the vacuum part very quickly after it’s built, and will then worry about how to brute force some more speed out of their new subway.
@fazergazer Says:
The cringingj glib corporate gobbledygook spewing off this website that supposedly is going to bring transportation to the next level. Sounds like it was generated by a chatbot AII think a mini series featuring such a eyes assigned to the various agent positions in this somewhat fictitious ‘s organization, would be highly entertaining and worthy of click value.

It's now January 2023. The last update from hyperpoop tt was in late 2021. I'm curious whatever happened to them?
@DrWhom Says:
nothing Toulouse
@noahwail2444 Says:
Perhaps Hyperloop TT has got nothing Toulouse....
@MrZevv Says:
Hes diggin Tunnels and.... stick his Head into it cause he cant stand how stupid people are to believe all the crap he is talking :D
@johntaphouse5235 Says:
to point out that that was "the ideal" place to build the tube.. kinda suggests that everywhere else isnt suitable or ideal...
@SpydersByte Says:
0:09 wow, "HyperloopTT reveals valves that can propel passengers at 700 mph"? Really? Who the fuck wrote that headline? The VALVES are gonna PROPEL passengers? Yikes.

How many maglev trains could have been made by now with that much time and resources?

I wonder if it's a phenomenon of the last decades or so that such unfeasible ideas getting some "traction" while also inescapably just spinning on its wheels. I don't recall having seen anywhere historical retro-debunkings of old ideas that had some hype and never really went nowhere. It may be partly some kind of survivor/memory bias, but it seems that there was less hype over nonsense back then, things would be put on the market and compete for real, some eventually winning for one reason or another -- not necessarily technological superiority, having the lead on the market doesn't depend entirely on that and can have the effect of delaying technological progress that's already inherently achievable, existing technology that's superior but largely neglected, like better audio formats over mp3, or better image formats for web versus jpegs or even gifs. Maybe the closest thing to perhaps some hype I recall was the envisioned return of airships, with futuristic designs and whatnot. I believe also there were some speculations about something like giant cruise hovercrafts for tourism at least. I have no idea to what degree those maybe-hypes involved ludicrous technological elements, or just didn't make much sense market-wise. A huge cruise-hovercraft seems to demand quite a bit more of fuel, that's the only thing I can come up with. The airship designs probably were faulty in regard to the way they'd be vulnerable to some wind bursts, I'd guess, while planes of a similar carrying capacity would be going faster/more powerfully and with less of an inherent aerodynamic vulnerability to wind conditions.
@petitio_principii Says:
Air cushions in a vacuum tube is a bit like the Musked-down version of "what happens when an immovable object is subjected to an unstoppable force?"
@petitio_principii Says:
I'd think the pressure wouldn't be multiplied all the way, meaning, it's like it's supporting a locomotive/dozens-of-cars in every N meters, but that's still not really the same as withstanding the same amount of locomotives/cars multiplied for the whole extension. Somewhat like if someone's arm can lift 20kg, and in a way so each cm³ of the arm is withstanding it, it doesn't mean each cm³ of one's arm or bones on their own can withstand 20kg all at the same time, that would mean the person could really lift a bazillion of kgs or something. But maybe none of what I said makes sense.
@completelyboringstuff204 Says:
Ahlborns HTT slaves seem to desparately crave for a slice of the pie called fame, and thus quit thinking... Should they not rather plant some trees instead?

Let's build a Hyperloop to Mars! No need to be airtight! Actual space vacuum easily achieved! Earth to Mars in 4 days, next year!
@TheSmashingDoc1 Says:
what if you make this pod with small robotic legs, that run very fast. wheels are inefficient and outdated
@ChaosKeep Says:
And the geology of California makes a tunnel as long as he wants beyond stupid. Different tectonic blocks moving in different rates and directions, at rates of inches a year, it won’t be more than two years before the tunnels are completely broken and need to be rebuilt, at the best case. Reality says more like a year before the tracks are buckled
@ChaosKeep Says:
Makes more sense to forget about the vacuum tube. Just an enclosed tube that is out of the weather with a maglev high speed train would be easier and more efficient to construct.
@XPLAlN Says:
Keep debunking these crooks and their ridiculous fanboys.
