I teach my grandkids daily. I pray for my children, who aren't saved. But luckily they need me enough they don't object to my teaching. I'm blessed in this way.

My grandparents have been a key factor of my faith in just how it was clear God has been saving them and their children throughout their lives. I got countless things to tell but that is not of a youtube comment. What I can tell in short is that my Grandfather was healed in his heart and he got 25 more years to witness 5 more grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and he had a an impact on all of us.
He had countless stories of how he survived working as a fisherman in the north sea and baltic sea, and how God was instrumental in his, his fathers, his brothers and co-workers well being at seas.
My grandmother has always told me of how God is of such importance in one’s life, and how important it is to trust the creator.
Case an point, God is real, God is love and kindness, God is here and it is not wise to turn the other way away from he who knows best!

I'm an Aunt, but I am going through this with one of my nieces. We've invited her and my sister to church, but they haven't taken us up on that yet. My husband and I have talked about it and we've decided that trying too hard to sneak around my sister would not be a proper way to show my niece that A, this isn't anything to be ashamed of and B, we don't want to potentially pit our niece against her mom and dad and run afoul of "Honor your mother and father." Our plan is to pray for right now and maintain a relationship with my niece so that we can maybe have that conversation when she's an adult if she wants to. I understand the impulse to go "this is important, I can't keep quiet about this with my grandchild, niece, nephew" but mom and dad hold full authority over the child, as it should be, and trying to undermine that is dangerous. Spreading Christianity in the wrong way can hurt your case.

The more you press an atheist to give not just evidence but a logical argument as to why God doesn't exist, the more you will see a pattern of said atheist either resorting to mockery or the Dilahunty dodge technique which means never accepting the burden of proof because atheism can't evidentially or logically back up its faith. Atheism in itself is a weak belief system, doesn't require much thinking either, just be as skeptical as you want and never give a logical alternative. It is interesting though that most of the atheists in the comment sections literally believe that their past experience as a 'religious person' means that we have to take their opinion more seriously as if it actually makes their arguments more valid. It doesn't.

What if someone else decided to make your child into a nihilist(thats usually a scary word for Christians, im pretty sure)? Not tell your kids about nihilism but try to make them into one against the parents will. This is what is being advocated here. Teach children how to think, not what to think. Let kids develop critical thinking skills before you tell them anything about religion if you want them to be able to think without being trapped in a bubble of religious indoctrination.

My grandfather aka abuelo was an ex Cuban political prisoner for 5 years. He fought hard for his country Cuba against the Castro regime. He told me God is real and helped him survive those torturous 5 years in Cuban prison. He always got emotional when he talked about God. 2:28 well im not a teenager anymore but I had been for almost the past decade and I can confirm, ever since I became a teenager. My freaken life has been in front of these glowing rectangles. Most of it anyways. What wasnt in front of the rectangle was being in school getting subtle (which has gotten less subtle over time) indoctrination into untrue things. Its a wonder ive turned out with my faith so strong regardless. I guess I spend just enough time with my parents, and have just enough good things on those rectangles sometimes to really get good information. And I do go to church on Sundays. Its not ideal but my life is working out ok.

I’ve always known Jesus was my Lord and Savior. But I raised my kids in a time where I wasn’t practicing spirituality, so now my children are in their 30s and don’t want anything to do with me because of my morals and values in Jesus Christ, if I bring him up they tell me to stop, they see my joy and my love for Jesus. The second guy: what if I'm a member of Judaism and I come up to your kids to tell them that Jesus isn't the jewish messiah and the one god isn't a Trinity and if you worship Jesus as God then it's idolatry? You wouldn't like that. It doesn't matter if I'm not related to the kids because the truth matters and I believe I got the truth.
Speak with the parents. I know it's your grandkids but remember the road is a two lane road. The other lane matters.

I agree as a fatherless child. abandoned by my birth mother and suicide of my father. I spent my younger years being an atheist because it's all i saw in my iPad looking up on people like Stephen hawking because as a child my mind is on "if only I were smart enough" looking at people who were smart but being misguided I grew up in PH were I grew up with my father and family worshiping Black Nazarene a Black skinned idol of Christ.

and after a long scare from God I came into faith but at first i came back to that catholic black nazareth group and saw a black and white YouTube comic about Catholics worship of idols and how it's bad and how they change the bible to fit their worship and told myself if i want to have a serious relationship with God i gotta know who I am worshiping. YouTube was not the best teacher i was guided to a lot of misinformation about Christianity and all about what to eat and what not to eat, if things are allowed, what's the actual message of the gospel. i as a young child and young Christian believed such things but not for the longest time.
I mean God did say if I seek him I will find him.
I have learned so much about his nature how everything points back to him.
I'm 18 now and I still don't understand everything I think I'm in a good position now than ever. knowing sources like C.S Lewis and people like frank. STR
