Ill say in regards to his thought about his son never questioning if he is there, he makes a good point to consider, but franks reply about the fact that our analogs to him can only go so far.
Us as earthly fathers are not all knowing, all powerful, and all present.
And mabey the biggest kicker is that we definatly do not have a perfect holy nature, and are not prefectly just in judgment.
Almost any earthly father who has any shred of care for his son would not subject their son to the just punishments for their actions. Even if their son were a horrible mass rapist, and mass murderer most fathers would unjustly allow their child to get away with that without facing any of the punishments they deserve
This isnt going towards any kind of answer or resolution. Im just defining some of the limitations when comparing us as earthly fathers to an all perfect, all powerful father God.

This claim is also referred to as “reasonable non-belief,” “inculpable disbelief,” or occasionally “the philosophical objection.”
In short, the argument from disbelief claims that, if God is real, He would make Himself so clearly known that anyone who was sincerely willing would already believe.
There are two primary assumptions behind the argument from disbelief; both are patently false. First is that there is such a thing as an objective, sincere, and willing non-believer. The second is that God has failed to provide “enough” evidence to lead to the truth. The logic behind this claim is extremely flimsy, such that the same basic idea is rarely, if ever, applied to any other topic.
The clearest explanation of why the argument from disbelief is false comes directly from Scripture itself. The book of Romans tackles this argument more or less head-on, debunking both faulty premises in no uncertain terms:
“The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.”
“For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.”
“Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.”
– Romans 1:18–25 (emphasis added)
Briefly stated, disbelief is not ultimately grounded in sincerity or even ignorance but in a fundamental refusal to follow the truth. In fact, the Bible indicates that what’s happening is the suppression of the truth. Those who do not believe in God may be “sincere” in the sense that they legitimately do not believe in God. But the evidence God has placed in human experience is more than enough for everyone to be following it to the same logical conclusion. Even the most sincere atheist, at some point, is insincerely and deliberately rejecting or ignoring some level of evidence for God. They are brushing aside or choosing not to pursue the things “clearly seen, being understood from what is made” (Romans 1:20).
Beyond that, Scripture indicates that God has put evidence of Himself in nature (Psalm 19:1) and will respond to anyone who actually seeks Him (Matthew 7:7–8). The Bible also explains how a person’s intent always overrides evidence: a person has to want to know the truth before evidence or logic makes any difference (John 7:17). No amount of evidence will ever convince a person who is resistant (Luke 16:19–31), and the more a person claims, “I just need more evidence,” the more he’s proving that no evidence will ever really be enough (Matthew 12:39).
Experience supports the Bible’s teaching on this issue. Logic and experience make it perfectly reasonable to say there is no such thing as a “non-resistant atheist.” A simple parallel to this is the modern-day cadre of flat-earthers.

It all began at Eden. Adam saw God. Adam walked with God in the cool of the day. Adam saw God at creation whether with the animals God presented to him to choose from or with Eve that was taken from his ribs. But guess what? Adam and Eve were lured by a promise that disobeying God would reward them with OPENED EYES TO SEE AND TO BE AS GODS!! Ask yourselves, what more did they need to see if they already related in so personal a way with God!!! And so it is plausible to conclude that Adam and Eve's insatiability, joined to the fact that the bait they fell for came from the Author of Lies and Confusion, led to one and only one outcome: their loss of sight or what we call now spiritual blindness! They both fell blind and could no longer see the things they had been seeing before. This trait they passed down to the rest of us. What is more, sin only worsened the condition because ONLY THE PURE IN HEART can or will see God.
Having said that, we now see why one of the miracles of Jesus was giving sight to the blind. This symbolically pointed to the fact of His coming to return sight to blinded humanity. But then again it had to be on God's terms not man's - otherwise we would all be back to square one. From Adam’s scenario we know man wanted to see just so as to sate his fleshly interests. Jesus said a wicked and an adulterous generation seeks for signs! And yet, despite giving so many signs to them, the same people stood at the foot of His cross and said "okay, come down from the cross and we will believe you".
So, you see man only wanted sight for his carnal pleasure. Which wonderfully explains the faith we have now been offered as an alternative. For those who have it, it's as good as actual sight. The things I have seen God perform in my personal life are as good a proof of His existence as if He were standing right by me now physically. But to the earthy man and woman, that's all tosh because the earthy man or woman always wants things ON HIS OWN TERMS! Like I said, its another form of the same rebellion against God. It's a form of IT HAS TO BE MY WAY OR NOTHING!!!
But to those who have faith (the ability to see through the eyes of the spirit) God's invisibility is no problem because we shall see Him when we awake in His likeness on that glorious resurrection morning!!

I relate and sympathize but think of it this way God is spirit and we are in a physical body. With Jesus the Spirit became flesh and what is required of us humans is for the flesh to become more spiritual through denial of self in order to connect with the spiritual divine. Very few people are doing this today. The saints that have done this in the past certainly encounter God more and manifested gifts of the Spirit including gift of healing, reading hearts of men and the gift of prophecy and knowing that which cannot be known by regular intellect etc

There are instructions in the Bible on how to get the Holy Spirit. You have to read the bible, and ask in prayer until you get it. And if you don't get it immediately, don't get discouraged but keep trying. If God doesn't reveal Himself immediately is because he wants to do it later in your life. His timing is always perfect, so if you havent got it yet while you're asking, you just have to be patient and he will reveal his Glory to you.
And you will feel the words of the bible piercing through your bones, and you will start crying uncontrollably while you realize all these things that in the bible really happened. The moment you get the Spirit is real. You just have to believe you will get it someday. God is faithful, he will come to those who ask and who keep asking.

I'd be willing to say that God is present, as this man made it in an industry that sees very little success in a genre that is as overlooked as anything, and therefore was able to touch lives and bring people to Jesus. Thats a miracle. That's God.
I believe his comparison of himself and God and how he doubts God because he doesn't see him, and if his son doubted his existence it would mean he's not present, is completely apples to oranges. Faith doesn't work that way. You don't see to believe. That's my hot take.

Problem as others have rightly pointed out: if you believe because of a feelings or ‘experiences,’ then your belief is rooted in your perception. The solution that should have been said: as a couple have pointed out: Faith. Hebrews 11, faith is believing without seeing. Is faith irrational/blind? Absolutely not. Faith is a gift, Rom. 12. The Bible is replete with references to faith instead of trust: Rom8:24, 2Cor4:18&5:7, and Deut4:15 to name a few.
Flip the question: how many times have each of us witnessed a miracle of sovereign grace or a miracle of divine intervention and chalked it up to ‘coincidence,’ ‘misunderstood what we were seeing,’ or denied the whole experience outright, then cried: ‘if only God would talk to us or reveal Himself to us!’ Indeed He does, yet our filters and our choice to deny Him also dismisses the evidence He puts before us. Consider the Gospels as the apostles who witnessed years of untold miracles still denied the truth of who Jesus was and who sent Him before and after the resurrection. Consider the Matt 11:21+. Miracle after miracle only makes for denial after denial.
It’s not ‘why doesn’t God communicate more or perform miracles more regularly,’ but rather, ‘why do we choose to willfully ignore or dismiss His communication?’

The problem is men are no longer men. They're little fruity feelings based whack jobs that need to color their hair, wear make up, be affirmed constantly like some insecure 10 year old girl. He promised to undo the evil and restore everything we cannot fix IF we trust in Him. He made that easy. He did the WORK. Jesus was not a sissy. He gave them terms of surrender and they pretended He wasn't there. Despite His obvious miracles. Big mistake.

Honestly I think that modern Christians are comforming too much to the world. We don't know God is near us because we "feel" Him but because we listen to Him. It is extremely important to dive into His word every day and listen to Him. We should cherish our time in solace, listening.
God is a spirit are he seeks those who would worship Him to do so in spirit and truth.
If you don't take your Bible seriously, don't go to sunday service and don't spend time with your brothers and sisters in Christ then you can't expect to grow.

God wants you to know Him and have faith that He is real and that He wants us to feel His presence. God also doesn’t want us to rely on feelings, but have faith that He is there and that He is good. If you feel that God isn’t present in your life, it’s most likely because you don’t give God any time. In that sense, you’re not in God’s life, if that makes sense. I’ve been through that a lot where I give God no time and then blame Him for it. If we turn our face to God, we will never see Him. If we humble ourselves before God and just talk to Him and know that He is listening, then we WILL see Him
