Christians learn the history of Christianity from the beginning. Modern evangelical Christianity has moved all the focus to the individual and my belief (my truth) rather than submitting oneself to Jesus, His Authority and His Church which still believes the same things it always did because it holds His Truth as its center.

We have some false assumptions being made here.
Firstly, perfect objectivity is probably impossible to obtain since everything must go through a brain and thereby gets tainted with that person's biases based on their knowledge, understanding and experience.
Secondly, 'truth' requires eternity, or else we have to decide how long the claim must remain unchanged to qualify as true, and in reality, the conveyor belt of time doesn't stop so there are no static instants in which a proposition can remain unchanged.
The outcome of this is that absolute truth is only available as a concept because, in reality everything is relative.
Anyone who claims to know the truth about reality is either mistaken or lying.
