I believe the Bible should interpret science, and not "supposed" science interpret the Bible. The same secular science that says the universe is 13.7 billion years old, also says man evolved from apes. This same secular science taught as FACT in high schools and colleges teaches there was no God that created but rather the Big Bang created, and God did NOT create an amazing array of life, but rather evolution did it. Once we start saying "It wasn't really just six days" then comes a flood of, "Oh that's not literal, it's just a figure of speech." This is the 21st Century God is okay with homosexuality. Jesus isn't the ONLY way to be saved."

This has got to be the worst argument for OEC I have EVER heard.

I am a Young Earth Creationist, but I admit that there is no evidence for a young earth. The empirical data - CMB anisotropies, galaxy redshifts (Hubble’s Law), radiometric isotope ratios (U–Pb, C‑14), white‑dwarf cooling, and stellar lifecycles - all point to an ancient cosmos under uniform natural laws. However, I believe God supernaturally accelerated or fast-forwarded every formative process during six literal 24‑hour days 6000 years ago: He sped up cosmic expansion and nucleosynthesis, front‑loaded radiometric “clocks,” and instantly matured stars and galaxies to accomplish creation in far less time. I also believe that the global Flood spiked decay rates, sedimentation, and fossilization - compressing what appears to be millions of years of geologic history into a single cataclysm. It’s like taking a 13‑minute film and watching it in 6 by hitting fast‑forward, or engaging a turbocharger to compress a cross‑country drive into a brief burst of speed - everything runs at warp velocity without altering the engine’s design. Logically, an omnipotent God can temporarily override or tweak natural laws and constants, compressing billions of years of formation into days, then let the laws revert to normal. So the scientific data aren’t wrong, science measures real data accurately under today’s constants which is why the data shows an "old" universe and it remains valid within its own naturalistic framework. If the universe were left on its own, it would indeed take billions of years to form. But an Omnipotent God is able to create it supernaturally in six days, through a one‑time, divinely orchestrated acceleration, so science is valid, and so is God’s Word.

Frank is awesome, but I disagree with him on this. By his logic, when God is dishing out the 4th of the 10 commandments, is God saying the Israelites are to work 6 ambiguous long periods of time, and then rest for only 1 long ambiguous amount of time?

The Lord himself defines how long a DAY is... 14 Then God said , "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let THEM be for signs and seasons , and for DAYS and YEARS; Genesis 1:14 Let's stick with God's words and throw out the bad science.😊
@andrewhobby1906 Says:
Totally disagree that God is at rest. What’s your evidence?
@alfonsomartinez2999 Says:
Wow , this is mental gymnastics 🤸 😮
@unclerhombus Says:
How is God at rest since then? He caused a global flood long after original creation, parted the Red Sea, sent His son Jesus on a mission, etc.

Young earth is impossible without changing the laws of physics. It’s smarter to fit the billions of years at the beginning.

All of the Verses of Genesis 1, which give account of the 6 days of creation, end with the statement "...the evening and the morning were the first/second/third/fourth/fifth/sixth day...". That means that each one of the six days of creation were of a literal time period of an evening and morning which are, each, a 24-hour period of time. Our 24-hour time periods are of a morning and an evening. GOD/ELOHIM then, on the following seventh day, "rested" from all HIS work which HE created and made. Meaning that HE just simply stopped creating, as HE was finished creating all that HE wanted to create at that time. And, HE, then, stepped back, and surveyed all that HE created and saw that it was all good. That, by the context of the previous six days, can be understood to be a time period of "an evening and morning", or, a 24-hour period of time. So that, these first seven days of the Creation Week, are just that, A WEEK. And, that week was the template of all the following weeks after that from Genesis 1 up until this very day today. Time was marked by 7 day weeks, grouped up into Months, which are grouped up into Years, then Decades, then Centuries, and, on and on. The Creation Week was a literal period of 168 hours. And WHY NOT? All GOD had to do was think of the image in HIS mind of what HE wanted to create and just speak the Word, and it came into existence. Which means, during each of the first 6 days, HE could accomplish LOTS of creating of many different things. Yes, a Verse later states that "to GOD a day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as a day". But, that is referring to how GOD experiences time compared to how we created humans do. It's not implying that GOD's Creation Week was actually a thousand years each. Time as a whole can parallel the Creation Week, as in, the Earth, as since Adam and Eve, is near 6 thousand years, and the 1,000 years of the Reign of JESUS CHRIST👑YAHUSHUA parallels the 7th day of GOD's Rest, as the Earth's 7th millennium of Peace and rest. This whole issue is similar to the event of CHRIST's death. He was actually crucified on Wednesday, not Friday. He rose from the dead on Saturday evening, not Sunday morning. Because the Lord specifically stated that He would be "in the heart of the Earth" (the Paradise side of Hell - Luke 16.), which, He said, would be the same amount of time in which the prophet Jonah was inside the belly of the great fish. That's 3 days and 3 nights, i.e. 72 hours. You can't squeeze 72 hours into the space of time from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning. Man's religious traditions makes GOD's Words of none effect.

@Deltuas Says:
We have enough evidence to determine that the earth is around 4.8 billion years old.
@Limosethe Says:
I'm sorry, this is complete nonsense and extremely illogical. First of all, when he started off with the joke of how the Universe was at least 60 years old, that reeked of not only desperation, but an attempt to distract from the question with seemingly innocent humor, so he could buy himself time to cook up sophistry for his attempt to answer. I'm not a theologian or anything, let alone religious, but if you believe the Bible is the inherent word of God, it seems only logically consistent to acknowledge that it describes events chronologically. On what basis do you make the, unsupported - and frankly absurd claim that Yahweh is still at rest? What, do you not think the events of Exodus and every other book of the Bible other than Genesis, happen chronologically? What, do you think that the Tower of Babble nonsense happened on day 6? You think the parting of the Red Sea and plagues in Egypt was day 6? Was the crucifixion on day 6? What about the flood? I'm not religious or anything, but someone this inconsistent in their own beliefs is a waste of everybody's time.

So, if I went out to my woodshop, took down my plane and planed wood for 6 minutes and rested it on the 7th minute, leaving it resting in its place on the shelf, does that change the nature of the 6 minutes I planed? God rested on the 7th day, that is he ceased the labor he conducted in the previous 6 days. At no point did God cease in his Providential sustaining of all Creation.
@CostarPelotheri Says:
This is wrong. The Bible describes what a day is. Morning and evening was another day. God is not resting because he holds the universe and humanity together 24/7. Resting on the Seventh Day was an example to mankind to work six days and rest on the seventh. That’s Jesus says the Sabbath was made for man

@connorhart7597 Says:
I really think people are too conservative in their interpretation of the bible. Our brains cannot comprehend 1 billion years. We really cant comprehend even a million years. Hell 1000 years ago we had none of the languages that people speak now (yeah i know theres some that havent changed much, but youre nit picking and it doesnt change my point). So what would the point of the 7 days be? To make it understandable to people. Let there be light could EASILY have been the big bang, or any number of large flashes of light that happened at any point. When you take the bible that literally, why not assume the parables all happened literally as theyre written? Obviously i could be wrong, and if you have a genuine rebuttal id love to hear it. If youre just gonna be a mean spirited bible thumper who has no interest in rationally defending your belief, dont bother responding.
@mostwanted5377 Says:

How does a country as developed as the USA still hold nonsense so close 🤦🏻‍♂️
@organizersrus Says:
I am responding to the very first question from the audience. Please refer to Genesis 1, verse five for your answer. There is no where in the Bible where it states that the seventh day lasted longer than the other six. What God says is that he called the light day The dark knight that constituted one day.
@cliftonsuber Says:
A day with the lord is as 1000 years on earth. This earth is 6000 years old, God created the earth in 6 days and rested on the seventh. That’s 6000 years of creation.
@Limosethe Says:
Why would God rest for thousands, millions, or even billions of years? Are you trying to say God is lazy? Therefore fallible?
@truthseeker6975 Says:
What?! His ending statement made zero sense.
@christdiedforoursins1467 Says:
If you take The geneology of Jesus add up the years they lived you come to about 6000 years . spiritual interpretation of genesis is incorrect Jesus said are there not twelve hours in a day ?the Sabbath rest is about eternity after faith in Jesus but it was observed by people as 12 hours Sun down to Sun set .the scriptures say the day is at hand the night us far spent and talks of the children of the day . Context is important
@aengor Says:
"god is still at rest, so the seventh day is longer..." I thought this guy was a comedian laughing at religious beliefs, and it turns out he's a Christian apologist being serious. That shows how absurd and untenable religion is when you can't even distinguish between mockery and apologetics.

GOD Almighty rested🤯 HE got tired😮. How can you say He will save us maybe He is tired. Maybe that's why there are more evil things going on on earth. How pathetic is this huh🤨 God Almighty doesn't need anything that's why He is Almighty. I dunno why some christians say God rested. That's pathetic

I would like to point out that Exodus 21:10 has absolutely nothing to do with creation. Exodus 21:10 “If he takes an additional wife, he must not reduce the food, clothing, or marital rights of the first wife.
@klovur Says:
I love a lot of what Frank says and does, however, I disagree that "God is still at rest" and "the 7th day being longer than the others ".... Jesus responded in John 5:17 “My Father is working until now, and I am working.” God is not at rest, He is VERY active
