The NT is not written to us, people living two thousand years later. It's for us to learn from. Jesus told Caiaphas that he'd see Jesus sitting on the right hand of power and coming in the clouds of heaven, Matt 26:64. This applied directly to Caiaphas and the people living in the first century. In Rev 22, Jesus is quoted three times that his return would be quickly (soon), and John was told not to seal his prophecies because the time was at hand. The end times signs were given by Jesus to the people of the first century in Matthew 24 and 25. They were the ones who had the great tribulation and saw Jesus coming in the clouds of heaven. Rev 1:7 every eye shall see him, they also which pierced Him; this shows the second coming was in the lifetime of the ones who pierced Him. When Jesus returned with his holy angels was when the seven bowls, seals and trumpets of Rev were opened. It was like Noah's flood, the righteous were saved to live out their days and the wicked were killed. After that, Jesus sat on the throne of his glory and gathered the nations before him, Matt 25:31. The throne of his glory is in the kingdom of heaven, which Jesus said was at hand in the first century. The nations gathered before him were the resurrected dead from OT time; Rev 20:13, death and hell gave up the dead in them. Death and hell were places, underworlds, holding souls waiting for judgment day. This is when the dry bones of Ezekiel 37 came alive. After death and hell places were emptied, they were thrown into the lake of fire which is a place of judgment in the kingdom of heaven. Then Jesus divided the sheep from the goats, and said to the sheep on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of the Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. This was the start of his reign in the kingdom of heaven around 70AD. The kingdom of heaven is the new heaven and new earth. It exists now separate from our earth because Jesus said his kingdom is not of this world. And because passed away in the Bible means to pass by or to come to; in the Bible, passed away does not mean ended or destroyed or renewed. In his vision in Rev 21, John passed from first earth to new earth which means there are two earths. He couldn't see the sea because from his perspective, it was dark Zechariah 14. There's sea on new earth, Ezekiel 47, so it was his perspective that he couldn't see it. According to Ezekiel 48, it much more land than our earth. This is Two Earth Eschatology, our earth and the kingdom of heaven coexisting. There's a working theory that Adam and Eve were created on new earth because that's where the tree of life is. Humanity came to this earth because of the flood.

people forget that Bible is short for Bibliography. It is a book of historical recordings as well as a guide for our lives as any history book really is.

When you read the Bible and stop thinking that it is about you and read it as if it’s about God (which it is) your entire worldview will change

@reformCopyright Says:
OF course not. The Bible is a collection of myths.
@55Quirll Says:
Uh, Frank, if we are supposed to be saved, why weren't Adam and Eve saved so the rest of humanity wouldn't have to suffer?
@atheistcomments Says:
The bible is stories by man. Your god is only an imaginary character.
@liam148 Says:

@guzzidude7410 Says:
It was written by them for control over us.
@LukeC908 Says:
It’s hard to imagine this promise not coming true if it actually happened today, and I believe it has already lived up to being an ongoing promise in the past.
@josephfogle5073 Says:
There is nothing in the Bible that says every verse can be claimed as a promise for the believer, That is superstition not True Christianity, All Scripture must be interpreted in context to the intended audience, Although inspired iit is the authors intent that matters not what we want it to say, you can claim a promise but that does not make it true,
@unduloid Says:
Christian infighting is _so_ funny.
@skytek7081 Says:
it was written By us. Well, "us" being a series of different cults, tribes, warring states and politicians, not an actual us.
@gerardoperez7612 Says:
2 Corinthians 1:21 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are yes and amen in Christ Jesus. Furthermore, Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly (John 10:10). So why argue over the issue it someone believes God has a good plan for there life? Psalm 37:23 also says a righteous man’s steps are ordered by the Lord. Psalm 23 He leads us in paths of righteousness. The promise to Jeremiah is made to all of us through multiple scriptures.

Neither. It was written for the lesser educated masses of yesteryear, yet serves as a reminder that humanity IS still simple in the head despite our technology.
@wadeunderhile7977 Says:
so God doesn't have a plan for us? she was right you are absolutely wrong God does have a plan for us.
@Lowpressure29 Says:
Good stuff. If only people would have a sincere heart to DESIRE the truth OVER tradition. There was so much I had to unlearn when I finally heard the true gospel. I grew up in legalism with a works based salvation and when Christ delivered me from that, the real journey began. The hardest part was forgetting the bad doctrines. Thank God for truth bcuz I don’t know where I’d be without it. I don’t need a genie who’s lamp I rub, I just need a King who keeps every promise that applies to me! I am nothing without him!
@cuddebackfamily9479 Says:
As Jordan Peterson says, the Bible is the precondition for the manifestation of truth. Something that is true for our brother in one way may be true for ourselves in a different. Never determine your brothers truth. Let him determine the direction he follows Christ, for all directions following Christ are godly, true, and correct. I said these words with my own truth.
@davidsuttie4192 Says:
The Bible is not written TO us or FOR us. It was written BY us. I think people have a misconception... They think the Bible is true.
@debbiegagne4593 Says:
The Bible is "DEscriptive" and "PREscriptive"... we need to understand the differences.
@youtubeaccount2257 Says:
The Bible is written for theJews that is the Torah is written for the Jews. The Jews supposed to read it two Gentiles. And supposed to move forward however the Jew decided to go backwards sliding chose in the Broken Vessels so now you know preacher.!!!
@carlos25021977 Says:
Jeremiah 29:11 was written to the exiles in Babylon. No questions about it. BUT it was written for all of us as well. God has a plan for each one of His children and, therefore, a future as well. And there should not be any questions about it, either.
@DG-mv6zw Says:
"Because it's in tbe Bible" 😂 . In that case should we now down and worship Satan in order to get what we want? Satan said that to Jesus in his wilderness temptation. Failure to recognize context will lead you to some very dangerous theology.
@lundyjw Says:
Not all of it was written to us, but all of it was written for us.
@ricksmobileservice8246 Says:
Maybe it was directed to thin at that time in history, but it possesses a reality for every human being? Has God created some with the intent to fail and destruction? If you’re a Calvinist you would say yes. At least you don’t have to be a Calvinist to be saved! Thank you Jesus!
@exclusivelynyc Says:
You're saying two things, if the scripture is in the Bible then we should take it for us as well, but then you say we should know which scripture is applied to us and which is not. Maybe your editor wasn't thinking biblicaly when he or she edited this. I'm a christian and I think you confused it more by this video but I do know what you mean.
@fonhollohan2908 Says:
I agree with you brother one hundred percent I see this all the time and it drives me, I've noticed that about that verse many years ago. another verse that people often misquote all the time is, " No weapon form against me shall prosper." Yet they don't finish reading the rest of the verse which says, " every tongue that rises up against me I shall condemn." Which means I have a responsibility to condemn words that come against me that is contrary to God's word.
@allenjohnsonh.ch.5041 Says:
AMEN!
@christtheonlyhope4578 Says:
I don't think I need you telling me what the Bible is all about anymore, Frank.
@singwithpowerinfo5815 Says:
It was written by us and for us.
@TheWaltiss1971 Says:
Keep on cherry picking, no matter how you view the scriptures...
@promisesrkept Says:
This is so important yet often missing from modern Christianity. Establishing the proper context based on what Scripture says not what we want it to say.
@MSTX22 Says:
I have faith on this $$$.
@DruPetty42 Says:
But that doesn't mean that God doesn't have those same things in mind for us.
@echoesofthepast-w1u Says:
Jeremiah 29:11 was written to us and for us. How could it not be?
@aniala Says:
People arguing with this, it’s still for us, but it’s not about us as individuals. For Israel and for us it was a reminder of God’s faithfulness to his covenant which includes the full and complete work accomplished by Christ Jesus on the cross. It was also a promise to them in exile, but not every individual in exile at the time of this prophecy saw the deliverance. It isn’t however about your specific trials and difficulties. God does care about those but other passages are better applied in those circumstances. It is for all God’s people because it points to salvation in Christ, which is a greater gift than the application to the worldly difficulties we face.

The carnal man, Can't understand the Bible, Gods wisdom is beyond Man. Only spiritual people will understand the Bible. If you seek, you will find. God knows your heart ❤️. The Bible is a Love story. John 3:16
@Alakay77 Says:
This became a very personal verse for me when my marriage was falling apart. It was in the midst of their suffering and their lives being turned upside down that God gave them this promise. When all seemed hopeless, He spoke to give them hope. He doesn't tell them that He will keep them from suffering. He says He has plans to use the suffering... "You will turn back to me and ask for help, and I will answer... You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the LORD, and I will restore you from captivity". Sometimes we have to suffer to realise how far we have turned from God. God's word is alive, and He speaks through it today just as He did then. I know we should be careful not to take verses and use them as a genie in a bottle, but the words of Jesus ring true: "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY word that proceeds from the mouth of God." His relationship with Israel reflects His unchanging character in how He relates to His people who are called by His name. We should just be careful to learn from the mistakes of Israel and listen to all of God's word and honour Him rather than hardening our hearts against His leading and commands. Seek Him! He's worth every sacrifice we'll need to make to be close with Him.

@thatomofolo452 Says:
I know 🙋🙋the Bible was written for Us😊
@LockeTheAuthentic Says:
Just a comment about the title: The Bible is most certainly written to us as a whole. The divide between "to" and "for" doesnt really establish anything of value, as where is something written for someone but not to them? Even so, let us practice our interpretations with sober care so as not to become confused with things that do not apply to us.
@larzman651 Says:
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the LORD JESUS and shalt believe in thy heart that GOD raised him from the dead thou shalt be Saved 🙌
