Wonderfully said. Really good, liberating word.

Wow…I wish this was articulated in this way when I was saved as a teen. It would have created a lot less confusion for me. For a long time I struggled with the “traditional” view.

How are we able to be sure that we have come to KNOW Jesus? 1 John 2:3-4 says 3 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him. So, the Bible clearly says that whoever says they KNOW Him but does not keep His commandments(plural) is a LIAR!! Plain and simple. You do not know Him, but I know Him. If I said I did not know Him, I would be a liar like you. But I do know Him, and I keep His word. The gospel that is taught to many people today has been reduced down to just "faith alone". This false gospel of "faith alone" has made following the commandments of Christ null and void. Obeying His commandments have been eliminated from the gospel and have been made subsequent and optional to salvation. Walking in the Spirit has been made optional as well. This false gospel of "faith alone" changes what Jesus said in Matthew 7:14 - For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. Instead of following the biblical teaching on salvation in Christ, they follow this false gospel which tells them that they can be saved by "faith alone", apart from having to keep the commandments of Christ. By teaching that we do NOT need to keep the commandments(plural) of Christ as the gospel, the saving power of the gospel has been neutralized. The end result is that millions of people have been deceived by the devil's masterpiece into thinking they have eternal life in Christ when they actually do not.

The very truth is that god is not real...analyse what im about to say...if god has a will for u...u wont see pastors/christians commit suicide..so it really means god has a will for thos people to end their lives...what a cruel god...if he is real

I couldn't agree more with Dr. Turek. The resources he mentioned (from Garry Friesen & Greg Koukl) are excellent. Greg Koukl's (Stand to Reason's) article called "Decision Making and the Will of God: The Biblical Model" is also excellent.

This is the hardest thing I struggle with. Trusting God is very hard as a new christian because Im so used to doing things on my own, but I really need God to take control of my life because I really want him to do something good with me

Why does it matter?
@96tolife Says:
There is a third way of thinking about the will of God. The will of God is a description of the inheritance we have received as a result of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As God is meeting the desires of our heart He created us to have in Himself, then we no longer look to the world (who we marry, where we live, what job we have, etc.) to meet needs it cannot. You then become free to make decisions for yourself because God is with you regardless of what decision you make. This eliminates the paralysis that overcomes you when you think that you could make a decision outside His will which He has not clearly told you about.

Thank you for this. This was my view from the beginning, but it conflicts with what others believe and it’s refreshing to hear this

@nobody1042 Says:
He is a good teacher but that was the biggest bunch of boloney that I have ever heard. He did not answer the man's question. God has presented two good, godly options, then pick either one. Both opinions are in the will of God.
@Chris_Sheridan Says:
Does God give mysterious signs as to what you should wear or what you should eat? Does he force you to live in a certain district or country? With free-will we have personal preferences - the same goes for a marriage mate. If people are confused as to whom they should marry, they obviously have not read bible scriptures that outline the purpose of courtship and getting to know a potential or prospective marriage partner - this takes time, maybe months or even years. Christians are not impatient or selfish when it comes to important life decisions - the bible has all the basic principles for living and in maintaining a successful courtship and marriage. - 2 Timothy 3:14-17 Many people who claim to be Christian don't even read the bible properly or know where to look for specific information and guiding principles - but it's all there. In the main, the churches have failed to teach and guide their flocks, leaving a spiritual void and confusion.

When adam saw himself as who i am... god of this world kicked him out and put a fence around the garden to stop anyone interfering with his own
@achildofthelight4725 Says:
god wants you NOT to seek mediums, because you will see you don't die, god wants you NOT to eat from the tree of knowledge, because you will see him for his true light. The Lord your God is perfect and so is his image, yet when "he" creates, its just good for himself
@BetskoN Says:
Dear Mr. Frank, Why are you shouting at me?
@DruPetty42 Says:
I believe the traditional view is partially right and I believe the wisdom view is also right; kinda reminds me of Arminianism versus Calvinism and how certain points of both views are correct. At any rate, the traditional view, with regards to marriage, is what God used for me. He showed me who my wife was back in 2021 and I married her early this month. I'm glad that Frank didn't say that the wisdom view is the only correct view so as to completely disregard the traditional view.
@kevinwesterville2115 Says:
Remember when you talk to god it’s praying. If he talks to you it’s probably a mental illness.
@RebelCPA Says:
I unfortunately had to leave a church over this. I think that X-marks the spot" view is dangerous. It drove both me and my wife into a depression and separation from the church for almost 4 years. Thankfully we're back, albeit a different church, slowly getting back into the swing of things. There's a lot of scars to get past, and thinking to undo. Word for word what Frank said on the "wisdom view" is the exact conclusion that I came to on my own.
@alanniketic7690 Says:
Absolutely biblically correct. Wisdom given by Holy Spirit and The Word of God.
@donaldjoy4023 Says:
Both "views" are false. Predestination is the correct view. Humans do not have free will. We are God's "robots" so to speak. Thinking that our will could and does deviate from God's will is absurd. The modern church teaches this free will garbage. As if human will, or "chance" could derail God's plan! Ha. We do not actually make decisions, that's just a delusion our egos have. It seems like we are making decisions, but God is calling ALL the shots. Our pride tells us we are weighing all the options and acting based on our discernment, etc. Lol.
@PazCristo Says:
Is the wisdom view a product of open theism?
@theantoniosilva Says:
I’ve been praying fervently recently and it’s been hard for me to accept that wisdom view of making decisions. I always had thought that God would lead me in specific decisions to make. I trust in Him
@rodneykerr6695 Says:
Best book I've read on this is "Guidance and the Voice of God" by Phillip Jensen and Tony Payne (Matthias Media). Similar to the "wisdom" view.
@nathanielbarbeau4821 Says:
This was basically my answer when my wife asked me if I thought there was such a thing as soul mates. I was traditional when I was young and naive.
@NewCreationInChrist896 Says:
TRUST and OBEY. Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths."
@RepsRanked Says:
Jesus loves you alot trust in His death 4 salvation and be saved from eternal hell <3 Jesus died on the cross for you bro. :)
@bryant77339 Says:
Good points, what if you're very compatible with someone and are also sharing the Truth about Jesus with her?
@OffshoreFisherofMen Says:
Traditional view is correct but God's Word is to be used in tandem. To deny this is to deny the prompting of The Spirit......sounds like maybe Frank does not hear God regularly?? He does acknowledge it can happen but I believe we hear from God thru circumstances, gut feelings, other believers, His Word or a scripture might speak to us; and there are other channels.

God created heaven and earth..... why two realms?.... why was this world good and not perfect.... if God can send perfect gifts and some not so perfect gifts, it this an optional choice?
@Theo_Skeptomai Says:
Why are you asking? If you are simply imagining this mythical deity, why wouldn't you simply imagine what it supposedly wants you to do? I don't see the problem.

I disagree.. I've had multiple dreams showing my wife, a woman I've never met but it almost seems like it's going to be so obvious when we meet. There shouldn't be any confusion. The people he described, are the people do probably *assumed* they were a good fit for each other, rather than truly knowing they were.

Been reading / listening to Frank for years and call it a coincidence if you want, but I was just asking God in my prayers yesterday: "I don't know what you want me to do?"... and then this video pops up this morning in my notifications...
@Alex-bz7re Says:
A bunch of nonsense
@carlking8530 Says:
God's general will for all believers is contained in the bible. If one doesn't know what His general will is for all believers and trying to follow that, I don't believe God will show that person what His specific will is for that person.
