it says seek with all your heart. words are breaths.... until they a filled with meaning. They must also receive the gift of grace. That is a gorgeous prayer when filled with passion and followed by seeking God the Father with all your heart. Worship through the bad and good. Simply seek it.. not forget about it after you say it.
@gladiator964 Says:
It is God’s grace by our faith that we are saved, so that none may boast. His grace is what should be emphasized. The Lord’s prayer is found in Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11.
@coxfordGamer Says:
Acts chapter 2 tells me how to be repentance Jesus name baptism and the infilling of the Holy ghost. For if anyman have not the Spirit of Jesus, he is none of His.
@edwardcook2973 Says:
You can pray the Sinners Prayer every day of your life and not be receive salvation. It is only when you are actually willing to surrender your will to Jesus Christ that you are saved. Until then that prayer is as meaningless as the prayers of the Pharisees.
@youbewarethelie Says:
Fancy that. A Christian who actually reads the BIBLE.
@PeterProf7777 Says:
Believing in Jesus will not save you. Being like Jesus and using him as your model will save you. If you say you are a sinner, then you are not being like Jesus. You are judging yourself. Judging yourself is not virtuous.
@briansmith7383 Says:
Luke 18:9-14... I think this is the basis. Simply reciting a prayer does not save in and if itself. When the heart and mind confess (agree with, say the same as) Christ and call out for mercy and forgiveness, God is able , willing, and faithful to do all of the saving.
@M3THOD1978 Says:
So if I say I believe and have faith, can I sin die and be right with God ?
@jesseseay2992 Says:
I don't want to be around you or assocbabe.. You give me the creeps
@Mithridatesquantumtox Says:
This woman is incredibly smart
@ZygoticGoose Says:
Yes and the same with deliverance ministers getting people to say long drawn out stuff when they are to just cast stuff out of people. No where in the scriptures do the people who got delivered said these declarations in order to be delivered.
@percubit10 Says:
I don't wanna hear this at all.
@League0Kills Says:
prayer and repentance is a step towards salvation, but it's not what ultimately saves us.
@thebugg333 Says:
99% of religion is not found in the bible, where it was Jesus flipped over tables...I think we should follow that example.
@Sigmamale218 Says:
We believe according the working of God’s mighty power (Ephesians 1:19) and He gives us faith in the new birth (Galatians 5:22). Christ is my Savior and there is no other Savior but Him (James 4:12).
@danielcaskey Says:
It's not that we are saved, but are being saved. We are told time and time again to endure until the end. Jesus himself told us that he who endures until the end shall be saved. Our endurance doesn't save us, it's our faith that saves us. Check verses Matthew 24:13, 10:22, 24:45-51, Hebrews 6:4-6, 10:26
@baldwinthefourth4098 Says:
This smells so much like yet another protestant heresy.
@kimberHD45 Says:
Hilarious. First she says she’s shocked to find out “later in life” the sinners prayer isn’t in the Bible, only to repeat confidence in something else that’s not in the Bible- “faith alone”.
@Eru_Ilúvatar-79 Says:
The only thing that absolute needs to be said, in public, is "Jesus is Lord". "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved." Everything else is internal, your heart, your faith, your belief, your trust in him and what he did on the cross: but you absolutely HAVE to say "Jesus is Lord", or words that are clearly to that effect. Other than that? There's no rote prayer or words to "become born again".
@IvebeencensoredagainOG Says:
Nothing without faith works anyway
@ichthus_eleison Says:
We must be careful to not share superstitious beliefs like "once you said this prayer, you're saved" but truely engaging the relationship with the savior by faith in the work he has done. ❤
@beijingblackswan Says:
Psalm 53 is more helpful
@rosemarietolentino3218 Says:
It doesn’t take much to get people to doubt John 3:16. They usually think it takes more. People conflate Salvation and Discipleship. They think every time they fail as a Disciple that they also lose their Salvation
@somethingtothinkabout167 Says:
It would be the same with the sacraments as well, for what is not of faith is sin.
@Dgre1506 Says:
Its not belief and faith alone that saves you…salvation includes grace.
@suvignanpothuraju8350 Says:
Amen
@celestehenson6156 Says:
There is no "Sinner's prayer" anywhere in the Bible, so that should end the discussion. There was never a time anyone was even asked to pray for their salvation. You say it's belief and faith...James says even the demons believe and obey Jesus, but that doesn't save them! Few people actually want to know the TRUTH about salvation. Let me know if you do.
@michaelhenderson1219 Says:
Did you say you are saved by faith alone? James 2:17 says otherwise. It's more than just belief. The demons believe are they saved?
@jakecurry4270 Says:
I thought confession was made unto salvation. Romans 10
@jaydawg4632 Says:
If I were protestant, I would have needed to be saved about 146,000 times by now.
@michamordaszylinski8016 Says:
Believing with your heart in what Jesus did saves today, and that is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4
@kletts42 Says:
The words didn't save me. I knew the gospel and I did the prayer to proclaim my faith in Jesus. I meant what I prayed and that I believe in Jesus. My salvation is in Jesus and His death and resurrection. Not because I uttered a few words.
@darkeen42 Says:
Beating slaves and selling their children is biblical so is not washing your hands before you eat
@shanemillard608 Says:
I'm all for people coming to faith and praying to God. The issue is that's not Peter did not tell his audience to pray a prayer in Acts 2. He told them to repent and be baptized for remission of their sins. Let's just read what it says and do what they did.
@sharonevans8504 Says:
People need some kind of guide to lead them to Jesus so they repent and ask Him to come in their hearts and live for Him! If one believes truly in their heart they are saved and the Holy Spirit comes in that persons life. The power of Holy Spirit helps the believer to live forJesus. The Bible has verses that leads to Salvation Romans 10: 9,17.! How to receive.
@elbertsorrell8394 Says:
I think you hit the nail on the head! It seems that many who are against the prayer fail to see that many who have prayed this way were truly expressing their faith in Christ by doing so! There are extremes on both sides! Thank you, Sister!
@yhwhsproperty3360 Says:
Belief in Yahshua Ha Mashiach (Christ Jesus) is obeying His commands. Believe what He says . Trust His words. Faith in Him alone. Obey Him. Doing so shows our love for Him. All to do now is find out what His commands are. Read the Bible for yourself. Modern church WILL NOT show you what we must do. Leviticus chapter 22, 23 Psalms Proverbs. Book of Sirach (removed to keep us in the dark) 1st book of Enoch. Jasher (explains how Abraham got his faith) Live on the Word of Almighty God and not just bread alone
@robertcain3426 Says:
Good points.👍
@ahoj132_at_azet_sk Says:
Definitely it is and if you don't believe in prayer I am sorry, pray for it. But it's not the last thing. You help the person to come to Christ and then he must walk himself. People divide to two sections, say yes or no but they don't look at the person they are speaking. There are many people that after prayer accepting Jesus as their Lord had incredible change in their life and there are some that need more than just that to get to faith and truly believe. But the prayer itself is not wrong or bad because it leads to Christ. We can pray, bring people to Christ as little children. My mother knows one lady that believed after the sinner prayer and she even got healed (so the doctor didn't amputate her black leg) and even asked my mother for this prayer for her sister or family. The next day she already evangelized and didn't even know about it. So many many that this prayer helped even if they did not have huge assurance or faith, some of them maybe just were trying... But after time they came to faith. No prayer is wasted, I believe.
@nadergendy5505 Says:
Please read Luke 18:13-14 “13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified…..” It sounds like the sinner’s prayer to me.
@Raw-guitar Says:
I repent everyday and pray.
@FunesLegend Says:
On the words of Paul Washer "you were saved in spite of the sinner prayer, not because of it"
@vendingdudes Says:
Define "saved"
@grahck4391 Says:
The Sinner's Prayer is our confession and repentance of our sins before God.
@joshbohn2884 Says:
The sinners prayer is biblical – as long as it's done genuinely through faith and repentance.
@ericwhite8743 Says:
We can't make the Lord Jesus Christ come into our lives, we don't find him he finds us and I was deceived by the Sinners prayer when I was a kid but I was told I was saved and going to heaven and I didn't know anything about anything then, I was 8 years old and then the Lord truly came into my life in 2019 and I didn't even realize that I was inviting him then, I was just being honest when I was praying and I was really surrendering and didn't know it and I woke up and everything was different and changed. How I could see and hear everything was different and I wasn't sure what happened at first but I figured it out though.
@charliesteck6105 Says:
I just do not get this short ! She should have FIRST read what she thinks "The Sinner's Prayer" is ! Now we just have to guess what she means. When I have hear the sinners prayer stated, it always came AFTER the Gospel was clearly preached/presented. Then the sinners prayer is the prayer for the sinner to pray. The Sinner's prayer I know is based on Acts 16:30-31 and Rom. 10:9. I think the Sinner's prayer in this context is very Biblical and necessary. The Sinner's prayer would be something like : "God I know I am a sinner according to the Bible in Rom. 3:23. I also know that you sent Jesus to die on a Cross to pay for my sins. John 3:16. I believe that you raised Jesus from the dead. I am sorry for my sins. I ask for Jesus to come into my life and to forgive my sins and cleansed me and make me His child. I repent and want to follow You the rest of my life. In Jesus Name, Amen !" Instruction on Discipleship should begin immediately for this new Christian
@1ts3asy Says:
Well said!
@fredb4916 Says:
This prayer makes you think about things that matter. I said it many times, over several years, until it’s meaning sunk in. I try to live it now. And yes, Hallelujah!
@sunshineandflowers2694 Says:
Romans 10:9 Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the the dead, you will be saved.
