I'm glad I'm one of the few people whom God personally found a spouse for, but with God there's always a catch

This was CE's worst podcast ever. Nothing but setting up poor strawmen, then supposedly knocking them down, all in the intention of looking like an "edgy Christian".

Actually our song was actually "Kick-start my heart" by Motley Crue not jump start lol. Still a great song, lots of great rock at that time. To summarise, God's sovereign will for us is the great commission, God's permissive will is for us to live holy lives with our choices, God has his own secret will that we are not privy to ie "Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish” (Luke 13:4–5). OR the holocaust or 9/11 or any other HORRIBLE tragedy. God's will allowed it for reasons we do not know. 🙏

But Frank, DON’T put God in a box. If you pray to God, he can most certainly send you the right partner who is more Godly compatible and will most often times go the full distance. On the other hand, if you want to get married maybe sooner, the Lord will ALSO honor that as well. All I’m saying is there are people more compatible on a Godly and intimate/spiritual level.

Was Greg criticizing the idea that God has a second best or whatever? Or was he saying that's what's going to happen if you marry the wrong person?
@viconmypc Says:
Christians need to stop looking for signs. (Jesus has something to say about that... Spoiler, it's not good to need a sign because then it's not faith!) Christians also need to stop putting such lofty standards on their potential "fantasy" mate because that's just it, a fantasy. Both are sinners! Find someone who believes and loves the Lord and is going in the same direction as you. (Similar values and hopes for the future). Then be thankful because it's only recently been a privilege to pick one's spouse. Before that (including biblical times), marriages were arranged by others, and God still expected His people to obey Him in the marriage relationship. He knew it would challenge and grow us. Sanctify us.

I was brought this question today and I couldn’t answer it and hoping to get some answers Lord willing: If God was Jesus and Jesus was God, then would Jesus’ death really be a sacrifice if Jesus, who is also God, knew then that he would rise? Now I know the basics of how to answer the question from Sunday school but I couldn’t seem to answer it fully. And then the root question there is did Jesus actually even know he was going to be raised?
@tertiuscarstens7084 Says:
That happened to me. I was looking for a sign to marry a woman I met in church and then later I believed I misunderstood the sign etc. It was a mess. We never got married.
@michaelmishue8453 Says:
I did struggle with this a little. Mostly because I married a devorced woman. Instead of the whole missed the sign thing but still thought I might have to "try again" for a split second. I didn't know the scripture Luke 16:18 when I married. Now I do! I'm pretty sure I'm covered but still responsible according to Luke 12:48. Overall I agree with you here though. I think you would've been more clear to have ended with God don't make mistakes, stay with the one ya wit unless they give you no choice. Or something to that affect 😁

1 John 1:8-10 🙏 “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.”
@NewCreationInChrist896 Says:
Glory to King Jesus. Don’t be distracted trust Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 3:15 “But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give a defense to everyone who asks you the reason for the hope that is in you. But respond with gentleness and respect,”
@Scorpion-my3dv Says:
I see your point at the beginning. Young people tend to look at silly things like 'they played the right song' to confirm things that they are from God. Young people should seek Gods word as to who their mate should be. Take time. Get to know that person slowly and if it is the right one for you it will happen.

Hey Frank... Good morning brother. I would love love love to see you and Ray Comfort do a video together doing some Evangelizing and Apologetics on the streets, and maybe a little dialogue between you two in a sit down. The two modern Saints doing a get-together... Would be totally awesome!!!!!!!!

Such an interesting topic. I'm not married so I'll have to defer to other people on this one but hopefully one day I'll find the right one God has for me. Blessings in Christ
@TatiHisGirl Says:
The thing is that scripture does seem to uplift a first marriage as being the covenant marriage. In I Corinthians 7, we see that God DOES join even the believer/unbeliever together, so where does one draw the line at “what God joins together”…………the only line I can discern from scripture is this: when two people are FREE to marry, God allows them the choice and then He joins them as ONE. See, He does give us a choice in our life mate………….when we choose unwisely, we suffer the repercussions of our choices, as do our children. That is why OBEDIENCE in the first place is a GOOD thing. There is nothing in God’s Word that indicates that we get to change our minds after the fact. MANY people change from when they first marry—–some for the better, some for the worse. Does God keep changing His mind about who we were “supposed” to marry based upon our changing personalities/actions? Again, there is no scripture to support that God only joins those 1st marriages in which the people were “obedient” and married the “right” person. Many times the “right” person is thought of later on as the “wrong” person………..where does that reasoning end, but in unbiblical reasonings?
@StruckDownNotDestroyed Says:
For married people, the one you're married to is God's will for you because you're married and He is the one who married you. Fulfilling your oath and vows is the best way to honor God and do His will for your life, your spouse, marriage and family.
