I feel that either all of it applies or none of it applies. I understand his argument that Jeremiah 29:11 is speaking to the Hebrews in Babylon while they were under great oppression. And that we should understand the character of God when we read that but God is the same God in the OT and NT, yes the OT is under law and the NT is under grace but does that mean the meaning changes because it is a different time?
I would like to hear other people’s opinions on this
