This does not say DO NOT keep it. It can be read as do not be judged on how you keep it, but still keep it. The importance is further highlighted by the fact that it is a shadow of things to come. IF THEY ARE A SHADOW OF THINGS TO COME, THEY ARE VERY MUCH REAL AND NOT "RESOLVED".
I'd even argue it's saying do not let anyone judge you FOR keeping the Sabbath day.

The point is there is no command that we should worship on Sunday. And the fact is God commanded us to keep holy the 7th day Sabbath (Exodus 20:8-11). Then why worship on Sunday? Sunday CANNOT BE PART OF THE NEW COVENANT. For Sunday to be part of the new Covenant, Christ would have had to announce it PUBLICLY BEFORE SEALING THE NEW COVENANT WITH HIS BLOOD. That's nowhere in scripture. Once the New Covenant was sealed with Christ's blood, you could not add to it or subtract from it. Sunday is not part of the New Covenant.

The early church kept the sabbath. About 350 AD, Christ's church had to go underground or die, and they took their Hebrew Gospels with them. The New Testament was actually written in Hebrew, not Greek as we have been taught/ just a side note, let me know if you want proof. Thank you, Constantine! Then, the Roman Catholic Church takes up where the Romans and Constantine left off and continued to murder and persecute Christ's Church including Messianic Jews for 1,400 years!
The preacher quoted the Bible as saying, "Christ is now our Sabbath". That is and was meant to be a metaphor. The Sabbath is important in other than spiritual ways. We are physical beings, and so are our animals. There is physical, phycological and spiritual reasons for the Sabbath. Jesus did not intend for His follower to abolish God's Sabbath, which was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.

If Sabbatarians are convinced of Israel's Sabbath - by all means, KEEP IT (Romans 14:5) - but don't play all righteous because of it, for in no way does your righteousness surpass the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, in Jesus' day! (Matt. 5:20) Christ said: "For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John." (Matt. 11:13) Is the Law of Moses superior to the Law of Christ? Not for me, certainly!

SUMMARY
What this verses is saying is that the Sacrificial System of Israel has been done away with, once Christ, the true Sacrificial Lamb of God died on the cross. Therefore, don't allow anyone to tell you that you need to be abiding by the Old Testament Sacrificial System anymore.
For proof, consider the following
1. ORDINANCES: SACRIFICES
Numbers 19:2 This is the "Ordinance" of the law which the Lord hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a RED HEIFER without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke:
2. JUDGING IN MEAT, DRINK, SABBATHS, NEW MOONS ( Colossians 2:16)
Leviticus 23:37 These are the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord, a burnt offering, and a MEAT offering, a sacrifice, and DRINK offerings, every thing upon his day:
38 Beside the SABBATHS of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the Lord.
THE DRINK OFFERING
Numbers 15:5 and you shall prepare wine for the drink offering, one-fourth of a hin, with the burnt offering or for the sacrifice, for each lamb
THE MEAT OFFERINGS
◇ Passover [ Leviticus 23:5 ]
The 14th day of the First Month.
◇ Feast of Unleavened Bread
The 15th day of the First Month
[ Leviticus 23:6-8 ]
◇ Offering Of Firstfruits
[ Leviticus 23:9-14 ]
◇ Festival Of Weeks
[ Leviticus 23:15-22 ]
THE 'SABBATHS' OF COLOSSIANS
◇ Festival Of Trumpets
On the 7th month, the first day of that month ( regardless if it fell on a Sunday - Friday) was to be treated as a Sabbath
[ Leviticus 23:24-25 ]
This was in addition to the Seventh Day Sabbath.
◇ Day Of Atonement
On the 7th month, the evening of the 9th day till the 10th day shall be treated as a Sabbath
[ Leviticus 23: 27-32 ]
This was in addition to the Seventh Day Sabbath.
◇ Feast Of Tabernacles
▪On the 7th month, the 15th day shall be treated as a Sabbath.
[ Leviticus 23: 34-39 ]
▪On the 7th month, the 22nd day shall be treated as a Sabbath.
[ Leviticus 23:39-41 ]
These two Sabbaths were in addition to the Seventh Day Sabbath
Note: Each of these special Sabbath days, when taken as a whole, were referred to as 'Sabbaths' in Colossians 2:16.
These 'Special Sabbaths' occurred various times each year.
NEW MOON
Ezekiel 46:6 And in the day of the new moon it shall be a young bullock without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram: they shall be without blemish.
CONCLUSION
Do you see the word "Ordinances" in COLOSSIANS 2:14?
Numbers 19:2 explains that an "Ordinance" was a Sacrifice!!!!
Therefore Colossians 2:14-16 is specifically talking about the various Sacrifices, offerings of Meat and Drink, and Sabbaths that were going to be Blotted out (removed), and done away with. And Leviticus 23 is speaking about those Sacrifices and offerings referenced in COLOSSIANS.
This makes sense, because why would Christians need to continue sacrificing animals, when the true Lamb of God was sacrificed. There was no more reason for animal sacrifices, which is why you don't offer a lamb for your sins today!
Therefore if anyone tells you that this means that God's Ten Commandments were done away, or the weekly Sabbath, they are seriously mistaken.

THE SABBATH STANDS FOREVER
1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
SUMMARY
This is telling us that whenever you disobey "The Law", or the Ten Commandments of God, you have committed a sin against God. It didnt say nine of those Commandments, but the entirety of "The Law".
Another way of saying it is, you CANNOT commit a SIN unless you violate one of his Commandments
FACTS CONCERING THE SABBATH
1. The book of '1 John' is the New Testament, and was written decades after the death of Christ, and the author still recognized the Sabbath.
2. The Book of Mark was written about 24 years after the death of Christ. As the author reflected back on those days, he wrote that the Sabbath was already over, when the women went to the Tomb of Jesus (Mark 16:1).
This meant the author still recognized that the Sabbath was the 7th day of week, even 24 years after the Resurrection of Christ
3. SABBATH OBSERVANCE AFTER THE DEATH OF JESUS CHRIST
◇ Acts 13:14-15
Paul went to Antioch, and on the Sabbath he read scriptures and preached to the Gentiles.
◇ Acts 13:42-44 ( The next week the Gentiles returned on the Sabbath to hear the Gospel preached by Paul)
◇ Acts 16:12-15
(Lydia baptized on the Sabbath)
◇ Acts 18:4
And he (Paul) reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks.
Acts 18:11
And he (Paul) continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them. This equals to Paul preaching for 78 Sabbaths
SUMMARY
If the Sabbath was done away with, as some say, Paul would have known, since Christ spend 40 days with the Apostles after he rose from the grave.
But it wasn't abolished, which is why you read of Paul going to the Synagogue on the Sabbath. And he did so for 18 months continuously. He could have chosen another day to enter into the synagogue to preach, but he didnt! That is very telling indeed.
Also, the Book of Acts was written around 64AD, as the author reflected back in time. When he wrote the Book of Acts, if the Sabbath was no longer a part of the Law of God, Paul, in Acts 13:14-15, he would have used words like ( Former, Bygone, Old, Past ) to describe the Sabbath.
" Paul went to Antioch, and on the 'Former Sabbath' he read scriptures and preached to the Gentiles"
But Paul didn't use such words to describe the Sabbath. He wrote in a certain manner, using explicit language such as, "The Sabbath", meaning the one the Jews knew about, at the time he wrote the book of Acts.

So if you have given yourself to Christ, if you are a follower of Jesus by faith, then according to Paul, you ARE a child of Abraham spiritually, and therefore, the Sabbath is a forever covenant for you, just as it was for ancient Israel.
This gentleman means well, but he doesn't understand the plain teaching of the Bible.

i. Verse 8: The counsel is warning against the traditions of men

through Him

circumcised and keeping the law of Moses
Verse 13: Jesus forgave us our trespasses.
Verse 14: Jesus blotted the Ceremonial laws that were against us
1. Mark 2:27 - The Sabbath was made for us and not against us
2. Deuteronomy 31:9, 24-26 – The book that Moses wrote was a
witness against us. The book told us what to do when we
sinned.

This is my journey yours may be different. I have not been able to find any where “God” Blessed and sanctified any other day. Jesus rested on the Sabbath from his work of a sacrificial life for us. Gods Sabbath reminds me to rest in His work of salvation. Mark 15 and John 19:30. I can add nothing to it or earn it. The Sabbath also reminds me we were created (Genesis). That God is the only one that can set us free from sin Exodus 20, Deuteronomy 5
That is why I cease from my labors and rest on Jesus’ day of rest. As I reflect on the above I am humbled to realize all Jesus did for me and everyone else. May the Lord bless and keep you until He returns.
Point 2. The Lord wrote the 10 commandments in stone, including the 4th. When I read the forth I see that it says "On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns." It was also for the foreigner. The Jews were placed on a trade route and were to be teaching all who went through about God and His ways.
Question. Is not murdering, not lying, not worshiping other Gods, not taking the Lords name in vain only for the Jews? I'm not clear on why all the other commandments written by God Himself Exodus 31:18 are for all except the 7th day Sabbath. In the New testament the passages used to try and say the Sabbath was done away with are either pointing to the feast day Sabbaths which pointed to Christs sacrifice or are about the believers gathering together to meet. Back to my first point. I find nowhere where God said the new Sabbath for believers is Sunday or Blessed and made Holy / Sanctified Sunday. I know my journey may be different from yours. No condemnation on what you do that is not my prerogative. Blessings on your journey.

It does have something to do with the Sabbath. The Catholic Church acknowledges that they change the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday.

If Jesus wanted us to keep the Sunday, he would keep Sunday as the Sabbath. Right?
