There are solid historical reasons to at least question the Gospel writers’ reliability:
The Gospels are technically anonymous
They were written decades after Jesus’ life
They contain differences and contradictions
Matthew & Luke copy heavily from Mark
Each has a clear theological agenda
Miracle claims can’t be historically verified
Very limited contemporary external sources
Stories were passed down orally before being written
None of this automatically disproves them, but it does mean we shouldn’t just accept them uncritically

The Apostle Paul pronounced a curse on most churches today because the main Christian denominations of today preach a different gospel than what Paul preached. To quote exactly what Paul said, “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:8). Both apostle Paul and Peter preached the same gospel and quote from the prophet Joel (2:32) saying, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of Yahweh shall be saved." (Romans 10:13 and Acts 2:21). The English translations say “Lord” instead of “Yahweh.” But “Lord” does not translate “Yahweh” it is a substitution of a totally different word altogether. This substitution activates two additional curses because if you substitute a word you are both adding and subtracting at the same time. “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” (Revelation 22:18, 19)
We are commanded by Messiah that, “...repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” (Luke 24:47). In other words, we are supposed to preach the gospel that came out of Jerusalem and not preach the gospel that came out of Antioch, or Rome, or England, or New York, or Chicago, etc. By the time the gospel got to Antioch it had already been perverted as we read, “...And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” (Acts 11:26). The problem with this is that YHWH spoke of a people called by His name (Deuteronomy 28:10; 2 Chronicles 7:14; Isaiah 43:6, 7; Daniel 9:19; Amos 9:12; Acts 15:17). YHWH did not choose the name “Christian” for Himself. The people of Antioch chose that name and all the so called main denominations of today embrace that name “Christian” for themselves. When Peter and Paul preached the gospel they quote the prophet Joel, “Whosoever shall call on the name of YHWH shall be saved.” (Joel 2:32; Acts 2:21; Rom. 10:13). The English word "Lord" is not a translation for the name YHWH but is a substitution. I ask you, how many of the church fathers and so called main denominations of today preach that gospel? None of them. Absolutely none!
“Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord when He comes shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.”
Some people say that they are watching all the time but they overlook verse 38. “And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.” (Luke 12:37-38).
Under normal circumstances people are sound asleep during the second and third watch. Therefore Luke 12 is not talking about watching in a figurative way. The LORD is talking of a literal watch.
There are appointed times in the scriptures for us to fulfill a literal watch. In fact, all of the appointed times of holy convocations (moedim) listed in Leviticus 23 are watches and vigils of Yahweh. Each one of them are fulfilled by both an Old Testament and corresponding New Testament historical event.
In other words they will be assembled together in a holy convocation and not out and about driving cars and flying airplanes. Like the 120 were assembled in the upper room Acts chapter 2 for the Feast of Weeks (Pentecost).
Unfortunately, because of a man-made ecclesiastical calendar many will not be watching at the appointed time when He comes.

Horus and Christ were both named or titled as “The Way,” “The Truth,” “The Messiah,” “God’s Anointed Son,” “Good Shepherd,” “Lamb of God,” “The Holy Child,” and “The Word of Truth.” Even in their death story, both were crucified to a cross and resurrected after the third day.

2. An eyewitness to the man being shot 500 times says that the man was wearing a red shirt and was singing the theme tune to Dallas when he was shot. Only an eye witness would know these details. Therefore it is true.
3. The guy who was shot was wearing pink frilly knickers. How embarrassing. Why would I include this detail if I was making it up?
4. The guy died. He was a master ninja who could have round-house kicked all the baddies, but chose not too. It doesn’t make any sense.
5. There are sections of different books in the bible that are identical, which shows they had access to the other books and could copy each other. If I wrote a book about a guy who survived being shot 500 times in the Vietnam war, and then 10 years later, someone did a “remake” after reading my book, then that’s two different sources telling the same story, giving some information that is identical, and some that includes extra detail. Giving the appearance of two people independently witnessing the same event.

Thanks Frank, I agree with most of it but the historical facts are that the gospels were not written by eyewitness accounts. They were written much latter (around the 2nd Century, hence no one who would have lived to see these happen would have written it). The synaptic gospels Matthew, Mark and Luke were written using the same source, that is the writers of Mark wrote based on a source and then writers of Matthew and Luke used Mark as a basis to write their own gospels. John used a separate source entirely.

I don't get why scholars say that John was written after the fall of Jerusalem. based on the internal evidence, the narrative tells you that he is describing events and places before the things got destroyed by the roman legions. they didn't have a negative view of the romans, meaning that they weren't persecuted. this tells you a date before the fire of rome but possibly right after the death of Peter in 64. this is in striking contrast to revelation where the enemy of christianity is the romans but apocalyptic sense of foreboding tells you that this must have been after the breakout of the first jewish war in 66 but the two manuscript families giving the gematria of Nero as 666 and the other as 616 is a clear indication that Nero was still alive, both Peter and Paul and a lot of the apostles and early members of the church are being persecuted and dying. but this was before the death of Nero in 68. so we can safely estimate revelation to be written around the arrival of Vespasian in 67

A couple of weeks ago I had a vision from God warning me from the time of his coming. I was walking down a road, then I saw a man who I had talked earlier that day because he was preaching the word of God in a train. That man was walking down the road, then I approached him and asked him: what is going on?
He replied: The lord is coming in 40 minutes
I knew it wasn't 40 literal minutes, though I also knew on a human scale 40 minutes is a very short time.
As soon as he finished saying those words all the things around me became so bright I couldn't see anything, I heard chariots, horses, people yelling like the sound of war and a loud ear ringing in my ear. As soon as the light shined my body fell to the ground and my soul started to worship the light without me wanting to. When I opened my eyes I saw a face but I didn't associated with anything since I didn't recognize the outline of the face. Its a like looking at the sun and looking somewhere else, you see a thing.
I was scared but then it was like a blanket of hope was placed unto me, and I felt safe knowing I am saved because I have accepted the Lord as my savior. I felt joy since I know what is to come, may we all reunite with our true family in Christ. God bless you all, I love all of you since you are my brothers and sisters, we will see each other soon.
