If I run a company that applies BYOD policy, I will definitely consider on subscribing to this service. $32 per month for up to 300 users at one time? That is nuts! I see no reason for not utilizing the modern smartphone chipsets' crazy power when using Desktop Mode.

Windows 365 says in only works in Windows, Mac and Android... So, being accessed by the browser, is there any reason it could not work in Linux?
@tamasendrefarkas3139 Says:
It is better to use a standalone os than a problematic and expensive cloud-based pc. Dead end.

@MrKanistr Says:
🙄 sounds silly! You need to have a computer running windows (in most of caeses) to run windows 365! That's strange...

Without software, the subscription is pretty much useless.
@ivenIoan Says:
you need pc. for use pc)
@sc0or Says:
I do not understand those prices. The difference to €5/mo VPS is a more convenient client. But this does not cost additional €15/mo. Besides, for an annual subscription, you can purchase a used U1 server with a better outputs, and place it in a provider’s server room. OEM Windows keys are for €2. I see no reason to pay to MS unless I’m a CTO spending stakeholders’ money.

@alexmcd378 Says:
Yeowch, those prices. For an individual user, I'd go with Shadow PC. It's like $25 a month for a decent gaming PC equivalent.
@BlitzkriegGT Says:
why really its a demo only for windows 365 and pay 38.30 pounds? your amd build has more than virtual desktop

I'm late to these comments, so please excuse me if my points have already been made. I'm coming at this from the perspective of an IT professional supporting nearly 200 users. Currently in pandemic mode, almost all of my users are 100% telework, with a few in hybrid mode. Security policy requires only business owned hardware to be used, so to achieve this a whole raft of business owned laptops (some old and existing but also many new) had to be pressed into service. The users are operating in a mishmash of styles, with some using their business laptops at home exclusively, others RDPing into physical machines still in the office (desktops and/or servers), and a few occasionally driving into the office with flash drives full of data in their pockets. Nothing about this was well planned and the initial weeks were chaotic to say the least. Supporting all these physical devices at peoples homes is also very problematic for me and my staff. With Windows 365 in the mix, and if access to their virtual desktops were to be permitted from a personal PC (would be a big leap for our security folks — heart attacks would probably kill a few), potentially NO hardware would have had to be issued to these teleworking employees. I could have sent them home with a URL to connect to and wish them happy broadbanding. In the future I imagine teleworking will become more the norm as businesses try and save costs on physical office space and plant. Leasing a MS Windowns 365 desktop, expensive as it is, is way cheaper than maintaining a cubie for each employee. Microsoft has tried and failed repeatedly over the years to come up with a thin client model that businesses actually want to use, but a full desktop running in a browser tab may have finally gotten there. Even having said all that, I still think this offering is wildly overpriced. Bring it down to $10/month per employee and they'd really have something worth looking at.

So, it's finally come to this! Microsoft, who played a Huge part in getting people away from the Mainframe and onto home Personal Computers, is now, trying to get people back on to Mainframes (except now they are called Clouds). No Thank You! Microsoft helped open the Pandora's box to freedom and I am not giving that up!
@DougGray-xf3hz Says:
Microsoft Windows blah blah blah, can you tell us more about your acoustic panels please.
@MrAndrefcunha Says:
as always the same limitations on rdp desktop... meaning no games (using direct x) or virtual android device on android studio I guess.... netflix and streaming videos... must be tested.. even 2d graphics appears to be problematic...

@davidyvz5951 Says:
thank you very much for this video. the idea was came in my mind many years ago and as a result, Microsoft did it. and very expensive, especially in Turkey. Inflation - Dollar, Euro, etc. values getting higher everyday :(
@Kirby5588 Says:
Have you tried connecting to the virtual desktop through parsec? I’m sure the computer would run faster.
@astraton2001 Says:
Actually a nice thing, but the price and the company behind it still makes no sense for smaller companies. This abo models also from other companies like Adobe, Google and co. are really like a pain in the a.... I don't want to pay monthly for the same service over and over again. My MSOffice from 2013 still runs perfect, same for the 10 year old computer and Windows 10 and there is no reason to start now paying for it every month. But seems some people really want to pay, give all their data to a unreliable company and put all their data into the internet so everybody can try to hack it.
@WalterPetrovic Says:
What is the point, really, of Windows 365 when you still need some machine that runs some manner of OS, in order to use Windows 365? Why now just run Windows? I am on the verge of moving to Linus, probably MINT, because I am not sure which Linux distro is absolutely the best.
@emprormax Says:
why all new windows are ugly ?
@jasonking1284 Says:
This cloud computing should be discouraged. They are trying so hard to control your hardware for this very reason. They (eventually) want to charge you for use of your computer. that's what WIndows 11 TPM and all this Cloud Computing bullshit is all about.
@abishekkatta287 Says:
🤐🥵😪for this to work, one needs to have tremendous internet speeds!
@ethanator4051 Says:
I know how to get Windows 365 for free and no need for internet connection! Install a Virtual machine and install windows in it.
@MDELP-xd9gm Says:
Thank you for the great video! It would be great to hear from you a comparison of these different approaches of running Windows on Linux: - Windows 365 cloud PC - Wine - PlayOnLinux - Windows running on VM at equal config I know Windows365 addresses the benefits of having a cloud PC, but from a performance, comparability, supportability, and usability perspectives your opinion would be very useful. Personally, I still believe running Windows on VirtualBox is still the best compromise. Again, this is assuming you don't need a cloud PC resource.
@newkie2008 Says:
At this point, I'm considering having a nice rig with Windows 7 offline and a mid-range laptop from 2015 with Linux for my online stuff
