It’s a data collector not actually intelligent

It's ain't feature/ product It's a gimmick
@voracious7074 Says:
Isn't it just a technology? Neither product nor feature. Like internet or the, cloud. neither of those are features or products.
@Sergio05rule Says:
Are we talking about GenAI? If so, probably yes. If the question is related to AI which not only contains GenAI but also ML an other funny things, then the answer gets trickier. From the OpenAI perspective , selling not only to end-customers (see nvdia) this is a win win situation :)
@synergyai Says:
It's a feature inside the product. The iPhone is the hardware product and the iOS the software product. Apps are products. The things they can do are the features.
@Doofens Says:
Vine was the product. Didn’t work. TikTok’s and reels are features.
@cmdalbem Says:
iPod was a product that became a feature inside smartphones - but, as far as my bubble goes, lots of people wish it became a product back again.

@kadevent Says:
It is a feature, the movie matrix of 1994 talked about ai as a computer program, termonator talked about ai but as roborts
@Start__working Says:
I think it can, but only when the AI will be with the personality and will remember all of you things you said from the moment you bought it and it will mimic a person or assistant
@krish07_ Says:
I think AI product will be more success afterwards as a robot, bcoz you'll you'll wind more often robots everywhere, which are nothing but a product of AI
@MoKingson Says:
I think it’s unfair to compare social media platforms to AI. AI standalone is a service like a calculator rather than a space for content. Many things have a simple calculator, you can buy a powerful standalone calculator as well. I think AI giants will be around for a while as leaders of the industry coveting most the powerful versions of AI while other forms of AI will continue to be integrated into social media platforms, browsers, and other technologies like desktops, tablets, phones etc. AI capabilities are so vast. It’s likely to take us down a path that we can’t even imagine right now.

@heatengine6058 Says:
I don't agree with tiktok being the best on number one because some countries like India doesn't even have tiktok is it might be the number one in USA but Instagram might be winning in this bad because they have already millions of billions of users
@heatengine6058 Says:
I think open AI will eventually die as well because the other big companies like app for Microsoft has not expertise to develop such AI models and they might take some time to get better eventually make their own models on cloud conclusion But also open AI has an early mover advantage show the multiple survive at some point but you see what happens
@hukuna9957 Says:
Ai has ALWAYS just been a feature..
@markusstaden Says:
I would even go one step further and say that AI is just a technology for realizing features. That's why it annoys me when products or features are advertised with AI. Normally, the user doesn't care which technology was used to implement the feature, but with AI it suddenly becomes important.

I think the fate of ChatGPT wrapped Siri would be that of Intel in Computers. They are using the best software now and drop it once they create their best or they will go down the rout of Microsoft Office. Again AI will be as much as feature as Microsoft Office is....

When we have level 4 Tesla FSD, will it still be just a feature that you want in your car or do you get the car because you mainly want level 4 FSD and see it as the main product?
@alexjthurman Says:
Very well said and interesting - thanks! I think when larger platforms pinch new and novel ideas from incumbents, like Instagram (everyone else) replicating stories from Snapchat, then the platforms start competing on brand. From what I've seen, Snap does a good job catering to that younger audience whereas I think the audience that Clubhouse were going for was already quite committed elsewhere to the traditional larger platforms.

i feel like it's hard to differentiate a product from a feature in big tech companies...ex: Facebook Marketplace. is that a product or a feature? some may say they took what eBay did and made it better and put it in Facebook as a feature. however, i'm sure facebook has thousands of engineers and product managers working on FBM...and it's likely a bigger team than all other resale/used e-commerce companies' workforces combined. what may be a product to some, is a feature to others.
@longliveezio Says:
Even though I saw your review for it, I personally am very interested in The Rabbit as it does have some intriguing features that are more on the quirky side that are for me. That being said as to the main question, product or feature? I believe that AI itself will eventually become a feature as you suggested. I’m definitely looking forward to this iOS update probably more than any update. I have in quite a few years. It will be interesting to see how ChatGPT is fleshed out from my own personal use on my own iOS device.

MKBHD has truly lived long enough to become the villain. Samsung has had galaxy Ai for so long, but according to this guy, only Apple has AI features that warrant thi video.😅😅
@LadyTink Says:
I think there is an issue here, were because of the way the world is, we get a case of "all eggs in one basket" because so many things are lump-able into one device. This kind of thinking I think will lead us more and more toward the "everything app" way of thinking. But maybe that's just me. Personally I like the idea of having a way to separate out functions, without having same looking devices. Call me stupid for caring about aesthetics and what not.
@KidKaimera Says:
AI makes no sense as a product. The amount of labor necessary to maintain the product while constantly managing the AI learning tech is staggering. Focusing on ChatGPT integration is the way to go. If a massive business like Apple has to make its AI learning tech in-house only to integrate ChatGPT into it, a startup stands no chance of competing. Rabbit and Humane are fantastic concepts burdened by their own ambitions and hubris, and the best bet for their survival is to be consumed by the Apples and Samsungs of the tech market and integrated into already existing devices.
@NikolomkLP Says:
It's a product. Creating your own "AI" costs millions and can't be replicated 1 to 1 like other features.

@eronth Says:
I feel that thinking of a lot of software as a product/feature these days is odd. So much gets integrated and cross-integrated and whatever that an AI product could be equal parts an interface OR a source of AI.

@kalebbecannon Says:
perfect example...Grammarly....once was a product, now is a feature.
@bundcaas Says:

@sid-novobeing Says:
Another example: do y'all remember trello (which atlassian acquired for $450M and change?). It was basically a whole product category on it's own (kanban boards). A few months after that kanban boards became a feature for a lot of apps.
@user-cm8en9tz7t Says:

@tigerrx7 Says:
OpenAI made us think that it’s a product. They recalibrated us to focus on the model, then came every other startup trying to bring the best model. So Google’s AI Products were not enticing enough at the time, but now wise ol grandpa Apple walked in and solidified it. It’s a feature.
@SparkyStew98 Says:
AI to me is an engine which can make apps less reliant on input perfect example Maps apps like waze google maps apple maps could use AI for automated predictive routing and traffic. rather than users reporting traffic the real time speed and route selection could give real time updates to these services and adapt to the usage patterns of the drivers. another example for use in mobile phones could be suggested contacts based off analysis of common use patterns e.g during work hours does your contact list reshuffle to show work colleges but out of hours shuffle to suggest friends and family. I think AI works best with automation or off-screen usage to make screen time more efficient. in its simplest form its being used for charging patterns to optimise battery usage just an expansion of this is what AI could really benefit society. rather than smart home routines this could be done by AI which adapts to the users.
