You should do a recap video. A year and a half later and Apple has failed to launch almost a single one of the features demoed at WWDC 2024 for Siri. Vaporware. You can sit with your iPhone and follow along with the announce, not a single action works the way they show it. Not even close.

1. Rewrite - not available through out the iPhone - given most communication happens over WhatsApp ; feels like a loss to be restricted to keynote or docs
2. clean up of photos - needless to say .. there are lot of memes comparing apple clean up with Samsung, and Samsung is far ahead
3. Genmojis - very limited creativity. All options generated seem to be same, app stutters a lot and precision is missing.
4. playground - why should this be on device ! ? I could get it off the internet. 12GB+ of data on board the phone and hampered battery life ; it's too costly
5. Siri - has always been good - did not observe any dramatic change in usage.
6. Integration with chat GPT - I have a free account for chat GPT, so did not see much here. Also beats of the whole purpose of "on board intelligence"
In all ... Apple AI has been a bummer so far .. hoping to see good changes in WWDC 2025!

we've had 15+ years now to have learned that social media makes us less social, and I guarantee you, artificial intelligence (or whatever 'brand' it's marketed as) will make us less intelligent. the maths drawings in the calculator app are cool, and the 'reword' feature in text is very smart, but it's making us more dumb to a point where we no longer need to think about these things - until we do.
example: if AI is going to start to 'simplify' every article into what it deems to be the most important stuff (which... how could it possibly know what I deem to be important in an article? anyway), for example, watch synonyms and the very intricate uses of words to portray uniquely specific things vanish away from general use, as more and more people use AI to shrink everything down to its basic level of information. it's also another scenario of AI stripping the art out of something - the author of an article no longer needs to add any interest or flair to their writing if 95% of people reading it will be reading the stripped, bullet point version every time.
