I heard once that written tests with hard-to-read questions often results in better comprehension (careful reading) from the student. Interesting.
@MrGuzmanra Says:
Is this why there is so much disagreement?
@hannahdeforest9148 Says:
I love the way you explained this. It reminds me of 2 Timothy 2:7 where Paul encourages Timothy to reflect on what he's just said, promising that if he did the Holy Spirit would give him revelation and understanding of how it all fit together. Proverbs 25:2 says "It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but it is the glory of kings to search it out." We are royal sons and daughters. Let's search it out and know God more intimately!

Which just proves that there is no god. At least one that answers prayer. If believers have an all powerful, omnipotent and personal god to draw on, then at least a couple of believers out of the nearly 2 billion should display extraordinary wisdom and understanding. But there isn't even one who has more wisdom or discernment than non believers. There should also be extraordinary healings and raising people from the dead like jesus said believers could in Matthew 10:8. But no, no one raised from the dead. No ones limbs have grown back or experienced an incredible verified healing. How long are believers going to make excuses for a god that only exists in a book?

Not gonna lie, I was stuck on the first few verses of proverbs for a few hours just soaking in,.. gotta get my nose in the bible asap

Dr James Boice said a very wise thing once: any time you run into a verse that upsets and angers you... that's the Holy Spirit trying to teach you something.
@smjcamp1 Says:
She has a point. Especially bc the English is translation and full of figures of speech to add emphasis.

Ask the Holy Spirit.
@the_alchemy_method Says:
No private interpretation (II Peter 1:20-21): The Word of God and the understanding of it are revealed by the Holy Spirit (I Corinthians 2:6-16). Any personal understanding or interpretation must agree in all points with the Bible, or spring without violence from its principles (cf. II Peter 3:16) - otherwise an idea is nothing more than an opinion and maybe a dangerous one.
@mrstuerffs Says:
This happens alot with the king James version. Just the way it's worded can be puzzling.
@FrankHozeska Says:

@macmac1022 Says:
Because the holy spirit is a myth and not helping you understand them, its up to you.
@michaelbradley6004 Says:
Which is why 95% of my bible reading and study is out of the KJV. Wrestle with it, chew on it, plead and pray for understanding or be spoon fed pudding scriptures with shallow nutrients.
@aeronblitz9347 Says:
GOD bless you, sister! "Every man who has something on his head while praying or prophesying disgraces his head. But every woman who has her head uncovered while praying or prophesying disgraces her head, for she is one and the same as the woman whose head is shaved. For if a woman does not cover her head, let her also have her hair cut off; but if it is disgraceful for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, let her cover her head. " (1 Corinthians 11:4‭-‬6)
@aeronblitz9347 Says:
Amen! Glory to GOD! "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of GOD." (Romans 3:23) "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of GOD is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23) "But GOD demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) "Jesus said to him, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6) "For GOD so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For GOD did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned. But he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of GOD. This is the verdict, that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that it may be revealed that his deeds have been done in GOD.” (John 3:16‭-‬21) "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with GOD, and the Word was GOD. He was in the beginning with GOD. All things were created through Him, and without Him nothing was created that was created. In Him was life, and the life was the light of mankind. The light shines in darkness, but the darkness has not overcome it. The true Light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was created through Him, yet the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own people did not receive Him. Yet to all who received Him, He gave the power to become sons of GOD, to those who believed in His name, who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of GOD. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, the glory as the only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:1‭-‬5‭, ‬9‭-‬14) "For the wrath of GOD is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of GOD is manifest in them, for GOD has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew GOD, they did not glorify Him as GOD, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible GOD into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore GOD also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of GOD for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason GOD gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain GOD in their knowledge, GOD gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of GOD, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of GOD, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them." (Romans 1:18‭-‬32) "For they willingly ignore that, by the word of GOD the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed standing out of the water and in the water, by which the world that then existed was flooded with water and perished. But by the same word, the heavens and the earth that now exist are being reserved for fire, kept for the Day of Judgment and destruction of the ungodly. The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness. But He is patient with us, because He does not want any to perish, but all to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat. The earth also and the works that are in it will be burned up. Seeing then that all these things are to be destroyed, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, while you are waiting for and desiring the coming of the day of GOD, in which the heavens will be destroyed by fire and the elements will be consumed by intense heat?" (2 Peter 3:5-7, 9‭-‬12) "But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart.” This is the word of faith that we preach: that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved, for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be ashamed.” (Romans 10:8‭-‬11) "After John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the gospel.” (Mark 1:14‭-‬15) “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me. For I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28‭-‬30) "Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me." (Matthew 16:24)

And sometimes when it says, like it does on every page, that POWER is available for your needs -- power is available. Don't mysticise or spiritualise. Just obey the scriptures with humility. Blessings...

@steffanjansenvanvuuren3257 Says:
God has chosen a very specific order for things in HIS church, but because people have other ideas they reject God's order in the Church and then find a way to circumnavigate certain verses that clearly speak about God's chosen order in His Church.
@steffanjansenvanvuuren3257 Says:
There are verses that you can read over and over... and they mean nothing to you, until one day suddenly you understand what it clearly is saying, you receive a revelation, and you can't really understand why you couldn't see it before...
@christopherbelser1160 Says:
Very well said. I have learned so much through the very though passages of the old testament! The more I study the law, the more I understand the great love of God.

That last sentence
@pamelacorona3665 Says:
Well said I was thinking that while you were talking but also if you can't understand or think you do understand a verse read the above and below verses and the chapter that usually clears up the matter of if you can lose your salvation (which you can't and you will know that if you read the above and below verses or the entire chapter) also reading the entire chapter helps us to know who he's talking to Jews or Gentiles whatever the the issue is. 🙋‍♀️
@jackalsgate1146 Says:
It's to seperate those who are worthy and those who are not. It takes more then falling on your kness, saying: Lord, Lord, save me. You Christians aren't getting the free ride you think you're going to get.
@seraphandseraphin7082 Says:
Ah, now I understand.
@Theo_Skeptomai Says:
Some verses are difficult to understand because they are part and parcel to a book making unsubstatiated, ridiculous, and irrational claims concerning a mytholgical deity. Any narrative not founded in truth, facts, or evidence is going to have this problem. Can you not see this?

Iam confused because God my Lord let Cain live after killing his brother and I think in About loving and being your brother keeper my brother has loyalty to mei don't understand the Bible I belong to my Lord iam hurt of the way of the world I try so much to walk in the right

Wow you are very smart person with much wisdom to be shared and taught. Thank you for being obedient to the Holy Ghost voice.
@Frank-ky8bk Says:
I STUDY I DON'T READ. GOD INTENDED THE BIBLE TO FRUSTRATE US. IT'S ONE OF THE THOUSANDS OF TESTS GOD PUTS BEFORE US. WE LIVE AT A TIME WHEN DECREES MUST GO OUT WITH AT LEAST A 30 MINUTE DISSERTATION ON WHY. WE ARE EXPECTED BY GOD TO TAKE HIM AT HIS WORD. HOW LONG DID JESUS TAKE TO TEACH US REPENTANCE? IT WAS ONE SENTENCE. REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND. I'VE LEARNED OVER TIME THE BRIEFER AND MORE DIRECT HIS TEACHINGS WERE THE MORE IMPORTANT THEY ARE. FORGIVE YOUR ABUSERS OR YOUR FATHER WON'T FORGIVE YOU. IF YOU LOVE ME KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS. IF YOU WANT MERCY BE MERCIFUL TO ALL. I USED TO COMPLAIN VIGOROUSLY TO THE HOLY SPIRIT ABOUT ALL THE VERSES I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND. ONE DAY THE SPIRIT REBUKED ME AND SAID YOU NEED TO STOP COMPLAINING RIGHT NOW. FOCUS ON WHAT YOU DO UNDERSTAND AND DON'T WORRY ABOUT WHAT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND. THAT WILL KEEP YOU BUSY THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.

I've read verses that didn't make sense to me, and prayed about them...asking God for wisdom. He answers.
@piijay14 Says:
Wisdom don't come without struggle. In fact nothing good comes without struggle!
@hansdemos6510 Says:
Thinking is good, but telling people that their thinking is or may be guided by the Holy Spirit when there is no way to tell if that is true, is a recipe for spiritual arrogance and intellectual disaster.
@reillybergh8890 Says:
Yes. God wants us to search him out. "Ask and you"ll receive. Seek and you shall find. Knock and the door will be opened to you". Its an opportunity for you and I to meditate on God's word and to put our faith into ACTION.

Amen 🙂✝️🙏 very interesting!
@helpmaboabb Says:
This reminds me of the British comedy Blackadder, set in Tudor times. When his ultra-theist aunt shows up at the door, and he says "come in out of the cold", she slaps him on the head and says "foolish boy, don't you know the cold is God's way of telling us to burn more heretics!?"
@knowone11111 Says:
I always saw the Bibles 'riddles' as a way to hide God's ultimate plans from the enemy cause let's face it, he reads the Bible too.
@michelferreira333 Says:
That's amazing. I was talking about it with my cousin. A profound text challenges our mind, inviting us to dive, and in the process of the pursue, we change. It's a journey, and the path changes us.
@xicannn Says:
Thank YOU
@rkol2729 Says:
Some scripture is hidden for a time until God reveals it. Normally He gives to someone, most of the time, a believer for whatever purpose He intends it to accomplish. It is done to confuse them that dont truly worship Him. It is used so that believers, in order to get revelation, will have to seek God to get that revelation they seek. Thus, getting a deeper relationship with God. Also, so that you can study secular and bible sources, so that you can be fully nourished in the Word.
@jameshendrix4717 Says:
True and sometimes you may have to read that verse a few times and it's most likely for a reason.
@DonluisTattoos Says:
I’ll give you a cross examination
@danmar007 Says:
MANY not A LOT OF.
@mikeramos91 Says:
I would add that another reason why it can be difficult to understand the scriptures is because of what we already believe before we start reading. There’s a lot of lies in this world.
