It’s commanded by Jesus Mark16:16 . Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature . He who believes AND is baptized will be saved.
@tedroybal5231 Says:
Why be baptized? Its God’s powerful work and not the work of human hands! Colossians 2, "11 In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead."
@Bra-D-Shaw Says:
Proverbs 28 verse 9 Whoever turns his ear away from hearing the law, even his prayer is detestable. 10 He who leads the upright along the path of evil will fall into his own pit, but the blameless will inherit what is good. When did this scripture change? Also the people who teach the law is abolished, will also be punished according to this, They lead the upright on an evil path. Look up Matthew chapter 5 verse 17 to 19. To know what the Messiah said about the Law. 🚩There is also another lie to be careful of, I see gaining popularity, some people on-line saying that someone doesn't need to be baptized. That conflicts with what's written in John chapter 3 verse 1 to 7, Unless one is born of the water and The spirit you Cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Acts chapter 10 verse 34 to 48. Cornelius household baptized by Peter.
@jameslauder3984 Says:
The thief on the cross next to Jesus didn’t get baptized and the Lord told him he would be with him in paradise.
@kyleburch7207 Says:
•Mark 16:16 – 'Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved.' • John 3:5 – 'Unless one is born of water and Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.' • Acts 2:38 – 'Repent and be baptized… for the forgiveness of your sins.' • Acts 22:16 – 'Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins.' • Romans 6:3–4 – Baptized into Christ’s death and raised to new life. • 1 Peter 3:21 – 'Baptism now saves you.' • Titus 3:5 – 'Washing of regeneration.' 4. Second and Third Century Christian Teaching on Baptism • Didache (70–120 AD) – Treats baptism as sacred initiation into the Christian life. • Justin Martyr (c. 150 AD) – Taught remission of sins is obtained in baptism. • Irenaeus (c. 180 AD) – Described baptism as new birth unto God. • Tertullian (c. 200 AD) – Wrote that baptism frees from former sins. • Cyprian of Carthage (c. 250 AD) – Strongly affirmed no salvation without baptism. 5. Emergence of the Symbolic-Only Interpretation There is no clear evidence of a purely symbolic understanding of baptism in mainstream Christianity during the first 1500 years. The symbolic-only interpretation becomes clearly articulated during the Radical Reformation in the 16th century. Ulrich Zwingli (1484–1531) was among the first major reformers to argue that baptism does not forgive sins or regenerate, but functions as a covenant sign. I’ve heard many well worded logical argument for why these passages don’t mean water baptism but if you honestly read them in context without bringing feelings or your past teachings it takes a great deal of intellectual gymnastics to argue. Water Baptism is not for salvation. Or to argue that baptism is a human work water baptism is a work of God not a man. The free gift of salvation is for all people. Who is given a gift and then when told to unwrap it says I’m not unwrapping that gift unwrapping that gift is too much work. Baptism is unwrapping the gift it’s not a work.

whot tokd you your father the devil?
@AdamTheCarpenter Says:
I believe that the word of God shows clearly that baptism is absolutely essential. Salvation is found in Christ alone (Acts 4:12). The crucial question, then, is this: How do we get into Christ so that we may come into contact with His saving blood? Scripture teaches that it is in baptism that we are united with Him. Paul writes in Galatians 3:27, “For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” We are not said to be “in Christ” prior to baptism. It is in baptism that we put on Christ, enter into Him, and are united with His death and resurrection. Since His blood was shed on the cross for the forgiveness of sins (Matthew 26:28), and since we are buried with Him into His death in baptism (Romans 6:3–4), it follows that baptism is the God-ordained moment when His atoning blood takes effect in our lives. It is not the water itself that saves, but the obedient faith that submits to God’s command. In baptism, God applies the benefits of Christ’s sacrifice to the believer. It is the divinely appointed point at which we move from outside of Christ into Him—and thus from lost to saved. The following are 7 main points of scripture that supports the baptismal regeneration doctrine. 1. Jesus Explicitly Commands It Mark 16:16 – “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” This is a clear, conditional statement: belief and baptism → salvation. Jesus doesn’t say “believe only” here. The coupling of belief and baptism emphasizes its necessity. 2. Baptism Is When One "Puts on" Christ Galatians 3:27 – “For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” If baptism is the moment we “put on” Christ, then it is not optional. We are not “in Christ” prior to it, according to Paul. 3. Baptism Washes Away Sin Acts 22:16 – “And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.” This implies sins are not washed away until baptism. While calling on Jesus’ name is essential, it’s inseparably joined to baptism here. 4. Baptism Is for the Forgiveness of Sins Acts 2:38 – “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Forgiveness of sins comes after and through baptism and repentance. The Greek phrase “for the forgiveness of sins” (“eis aphesin hamartion”) mirrors Matthew 26:28 where Jesus says His blood is “poured out for the forgiveness of sins” – clearly not optional. 5. Baptism Saves You 1 Peter 3:21 – “Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you—not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” Peter doesn’t say it’s symbolic. He says it “now saves you.” It’s not the water, but the obedient response that joins us to the power of Christ’s resurrection. 6. The Pattern of Conversion in Acts Always Includes Baptism In every major conversion account in Acts, baptism is immediate: Pentecost (Acts 2) Ethiopian eunuch (Acts 8) Saul of Tarsus (Acts 9/22) Cornelius (Acts 10) Lydia and Philippian jailer (Acts 16) Never does anyone "accept Jesus" and delay baptism or bypass it. 7. The Early Church Fathers Universally Affirmed It Writings from the first 2–3 centuries (e.g., Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, Tertullian, and others) uniformly taught that baptism was necessary for the remission of sins and entrance into the Kingdom of God. Conclusion: To be saved one must: A. Hear the Word. B. Believe the Word. C. Repent of sins. D. Confess Christ as your Lord and Savior. E. Be baptized for the forgiveness of sins. F. Live out your faith. ( Continue to live a faithful Christian life after baptism. Don't just talk the talk - you gotta WALK THE WALK. See the book of James) Baptism is not a work of man but an act of obedient faith in which God performs the work (Colossians 2:12). It is the moment when one dies with Christ, is buried, and is raised into new life (Romans 6:3–4). Without it, the sinner remains outside the covenant of grace. COMMON OBJECTIONS: Objection 1: "What about the thief on the cross? He wasn't baptized." Response: The thief on the cross died under the Old Covenant, before the resurrection and the New Covenant were fully in effect. Hebrews 9:16–17 explains that a testament (will) is not in force until the death of the one who made it. Jesus hadn’t died yet when He forgave the thief. Jesus had authority on earth to forgive sins directly (Luke 5:24), just as He forgave others during His ministry without requiring baptism because the New Covenant had not begun. Bottom line: The thief is not the pattern for post-resurrection salvation. --- Objection 2: "We are saved by faith alone, not works!" Response: The only time the phrase “faith alone” appears in Scripture is James 2:24, which says: “You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.” Baptism is not a work of merit, but an act of obedient faith: Colossians 2:12 – "...having been buried with him in baptism... through faith in the powerful working of God." It’s God doing the work in baptism—not us earning salvation. --- Objection 3: "Baptism is just an outward symbol of an inward change." Response: Scripture never describes baptism as merely symbolic. It is described as: A burial and resurrection (Romans 6:3–4) The moment of putting on Christ (Galatians 3:27) A washing away of sin (Acts 22:16) A requirement for forgiveness (Acts 2:38) The moment we are saved (1 Peter 3:21) The symbolism is real—but so is the spiritual effect. It's not either/or. It's both. --- Objection 4: "Salvation is a free gift—we don't have to do anything." Response: A gift still has to be received. Baptism is how we receive God’s free gift of grace. Acts 2:38 is clear: repentance and baptism are the conditions for receiving forgiveness and the Holy Spirit. Refusing baptism would be refusing the gift on God's terms. --- Summary: The thief was pre-cross. Faith alone is unbiblical. Baptism isn’t a work of man. And it's never portrayed as optional in the New Testament. To obey Christ is to be baptized (Matthew 28:19), and to be baptized is to enter into the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ—the heart of the gospel (Romans 6:3–4).
@AdamTheCarpenter Says:
Paul did not separate baptism from salvation—he separated his preaching role from personally administering baptisms to avoid factionalism. The gospel saves, but Scripture teaches that we are united with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ in baptism (Romans 6:3–4). Therefore, baptism is not separate from the gospel—it is the divinely appointed moment when we enter into its saving power.
@faithplusnothing Says:
Regarding water baptism, people fail to rightly divide the scriptures, knowing who water baptism was required for. Act 2:38 and 1 Peter 3: 21 tells us water baptism is required, nowhere in the Bible does it tell us to perform water baptism as an expression of faith or as a witness to others, that's man idea. Today baptism is still required, its just not a water one, it's a baptism that God performs on the believer.
@naphtaliayi-bonte8813 Says:
Christianity is now “I think” and not what Jesus say 😂. We are like “ Christ can have His opinion and we can also have ours and do what we like 😂😂😂😂
@jenniferfanguy2812 Says:
Because a leaders of the church they call pastor needs to stay in power on pride and think he accomplished something. They twist act 2 and try the symbolic lie and don't see the difference in the gospel. It get worse hor they think the eunkc was saved before paid teaches the mystery. Baptist is another twisted sister religion who twist the word of God.
@Denault89 Says:
Go away from me with this devil deceived talk
@stellaWay2Jesus Says:
This is blasphemy because Jesus Christ said clearly that baptism saves. Mark 16:14-16 and the Apostles went forth preaching it after his resurrection because that’s when the New Testament began. Mark 16:14-16 King James Version 14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; 👈👉but he that believeth NOT shall be damned. 🔥 Hebrews 9:16-17 King James Version 16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. 17 👉For a testament is of force after men are dead👈👉: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
@benolson6090 Says:
The saving works of God are absolutely necessary for salvation. Baptism is His gift and promise FOR YOU, not your work or act for Him. The gospel promise He gives in baptism can only be received by faith.

“In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬ Baptism done through our faith that baptism isn’t a work of man but a working of God, who raised Christ from the dead.
@davidmuth4571 Says:
So you made a decision, confessed and repented. Found the gate. Are you going to get baptized? If not, why not?
@smbaggie1 Says:
The gospel message is clear and baptism is part of the gospel. I dont understand why people fight do much against it.
@Christiskinglaw Says:
False prophets preaching against baptism instituted by Jesus Christ himself. You obviously don’t believe. You must believe in order to be baptized. Mark 16:16, if you don’t believe you can’t be baptized, there is no need to say don’t believe and be baptized. That doesn’t make sense. Acts 2:38 Repent and be baptized everyone of you for the remission of sins. People keep following these false prophets preaching against Jesus if you want to.

Th3 Bible literally says "baptism now saves you." (1 Peter 3::21) What would Jesus have to say for radical Protestants who have rejected Jesus' apostolic church to believe him?
@whonow5384 Says:
Mark 16:16 makes it very clear if you know Jesus and accepted and have time to do so do it. If you never knew Jesus but accept him last minute as you’re dying you’re still okay but that’s very situational so don’t confuse the thief on the Cross situation with Mathew Mark Luke John Isiah who were all baptized

@gtepp031387 Says:
I think people now a days are pretty much penal sub atonement believers. But if you have a problem with that then baptism is the key. As we are not just reborn in baptism but die with Christ and our sinful nature is corrected through baptism. The sin God could not forgive but rather fixed so we could unify our nature to his, which is eternal. Giving us a way to share in eternal life with him.
@ptarmigan72 Says:
Water baptism is obviously essential and part of the Gospel. See Acts 8:35-39. Philip preached the Gospel to the Ethiopian and the Ethiopian requested to be baptized at once and not wait for Baptism Sunday which is a man made tradition. Philip's job of preaching the Gospel was not complete until after he baptized the Ethiopian and only after being baptized did the Ethiopian rejoice.

Baptism is absolutely required for salvation please follow the bible. And the example Christ set for us.
@Cronoberto Says:
Of whom is it said the be required?
@clockchaser Says:
Baptism saves, but it is not water baptism. The Holy Spirit baptizes you in the blood of Christ (which cleanses you of your sin) at the time of believing. Water accomplishes absolutely nothing.
@MrSamdabeast Says:
My assurity of salvation does not rest in man's tradition but in God's sacrifice. There is nothing wrong with water baptism, its beautiful and deserves respect, but to say it is a requirement for salvation is like spitting in Jesus's face as he dies on the cross.
@lisacimarik7315 Says:
Jesus was baptized so are they saying he was a sinner? Water baptism is a work of righteousness and we are not saved by our righteous acts. In fact they are as filthy rags. Water baptism is about having a good conscience according to 1 Peter 3:21. It's NOT an act of salvation. Paul said he was not called to baptize, but to preach the gospel. He differentiates the two in his statement to the Corinthians.
@lisacimarik7315 Says:
Christendom gets riled up when we claim faith + nothing for salvation. 😢

Titus 3:5 he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, Acts 22:16 And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.’ Romans 6:4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. Also Jesus said love your neighbor as yourself so be more kind to Frank he's still a human just like the rest of us.

@johncolquitt3086 Says:
Saying that baptism isn't a part of the Gospel may be one of the dumbest things Ive ever heard a preacher say! Then he says it's " an indication that you are saved" something that is never stated in the scriptures. Paul didn’t say it isn't a part of the gospel. He is really out of touch with what the scriptures say. Jesus said. Mark 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. Great Commission Matt 28:18-20 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them inthe name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” The first recorded Gospel Sermon: Acts 2:37‭-‬38 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. These are just a few verses refuting his new age doctrine. He needs to read!
