The death of Jesus was the true passover. (1 Corinthians 5)
Jesus was the rock that was smitten in the wilderness (1 Corinthians 10)
Jesus is the true manna/bread from heaven (John 5-6)
Jesus fulfilled the law (Matthew 5) by showing the true standard of righteousness in the heart.
Jesus is the final sacrifice that took away/forgave our sins (Hebrews 10)

Matthew wrote fiction. Of course, he would write those parallels. Matthew also wrote that Jesus would bring violence and war. Isaiah on the other hand wrote that the true Messiah would bring peace. You picked your poison; I didn’t.

Yeah... it's almost like Matthew *_already knew_* he Torah and modelled his stories about Jesus after the narratives about the Israelites he already knew, and which he knew his audience would or could know.
This sounds like evidence for Matthew inventing a storyline to me, not for his narrative to be literally true.
