No offense to Jocko - I'm ex-military and I'm generally a fan of Jocko for many reasons. But, what he says during this interview ranges from idealistic, to overly generalized to empirically incorrect. First, Trump has never said anything that pissed people off - Trump has been taken out of context and had that false context spun up into a false narrative, and THAT has pissed people off. I say this not as a blind Trump fan - I simply value objective truth. Second, Jocko's advice about being a centrist and listening to and synergizing both sides of any given issue is great advice - if we lived in a straight forward world where the government was designed to work as we are told it works. But it doesn't work that way - we have hidden banking families who manipulate everything from behind the scenes, and the "government" is just a show to make the public think they have options. I'm not saying we don't have options - I'm saying that if it were up to those families, most of us would be dead and those still alive would be chipped from cradle to grave, like cattle. We have much bigger problems than whether the President or any other leader understands how to balance tactical versus strategic concerns. We are working against entrenched corruption that doesn't care about us as citizens at all. In the end, the dark side is going to fail, but we have to open our eyes, keep exposing it, and unfortunately, some drastic measures may be required.
