Good one

Matthew threw away evolutionary biology in this talk. Completely ignored the advancement of technology which gave woman powers such as contraception pills in which they are still trying to wrap their heads around and so on.
@ginjohnson3335 Says:
Love how Matthew calls out the hypocrisy of begrudging the women who have height as a preference but holding onto their own preferences that are purely physical as well. And other double standards.

Relationships are built on maturity, that we don't care what others say about us. Which is why you don't generally get into a relationship when you're young.
@spellcop Says:
If I met the perfect man without a chink in his armour, I'd be highly sceptical and any attractiveness will be doused with thoughts of fakery and falsehood.
@spellcop Says:
The right woman for you will never find you less of a man if you show your vulnerable side as long as it isn't the only side you possess. So Matthew found a good woman 👍 and I disagree with Tom - it's not just about fixing oneself and appearing always attractive but rather being genuinely yourself, and which will weed out who is not right for you. Trying to hide your vulnerabilities can only last so long for one sided affairs with one sided partners instead of embracing and supporting the whole person in a joint journey of healing and development.
@HansAaraas Says:
All of these issues are caused by our evolved nature clashing with modern constructs such as modern feminism, hormonal contraception, the sexual revolution, social media, corn, and dating apps. The only way to fix this is to live more in harmony with our evolved nature and gender roles. I'm not a religious man, but it could be argued that some of the religious doctrines were introduced to keep some of the human tendencies we're currently seeing in check for the betterment of society and human kind as a whole.

I've never realized just how out of touch Matthew is until this interview. I've listened to him a few times and kinda found him well-spoken and insightful in passing. But hearing him go long form with someone like Tom was just disappointing. He has no idea what it's like for men right now and tries way too hard to appeal to women instead of looking at both sides objectively and encouraging real growth.

That „something else“ is being able to be in the moment and experience life fully, and not worrying about petty things, e. g., like what other people might think. That was the quality of Leonardo‘s character. That is attractive 🤩

I don’t want old time religion. It is a very toxic misogynistic mess. We need spiritual kindness.
@ABC-uq3mx Says:
An 18 yr old male doesnt have access to the same type of lifestyle that a 18yr female would in the sexual marketplace. Also the pregnant party doesnt have the burden of working.
@aaronmichaels807 Says:
Oh Lord, why make things so complicated, so complicated for the sake of conversation, or business. Just go back to what is natural, overthinking things is not healthy or productive sometimes...I think it all depends, there is no real end or one path to choose. Some look for marriage others fun, some for connections others financial support, there are so many paths to choose in life...I think there is time and place, and fortune, fate. People device their path but in the end God or fate determines the end. A man’s heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9 I also think its worth considering, that these two men are in California, a liberal state, and maybe experiencing that secular lifestyle. I think when we ignore traditions and established culture we may find ourselves asking questions or lost in a new place. Men should be men and women should be women, the church and state already has established traditions, just look back at history to get your answers...

Dating advice; do not wear your cap backwards
@rahandapapadopoulou8790 Says:
I think what they try to say is that neuroscientifically there re differences to the way women and men are shaped, but at the core of our soul, the basic needs we have are common. We may have the same needs in many aspects, but the way we ll navigate-respond or request it, differs. This is also my experience and observation.
@TheDashgage Says:
I can't take this guy's pod seriously because of that stupid backwards hat. Here's some advice on how to attract a woman. If you're over 22, don't wear your hat backwards like a dope. Also, if you're a grown ass man buy a better quality hat at least. You look like some goony guy working a 7-ELEVEN 😂
@trevorm9551 Says:
Listening to these two friends talk and literally debate the two sides of this coin I debate in my head every day, is pretty dope
@adonirammccarthy3994 Says:
As soon as he said "men and women want the same things" I was done 🤣 There is no way this guy is married, and if he is, he definitely does not have children. One of the more naive sounding conversations I've heard of Tim have in a long time.
@trevorm9551 Says:
Love the interview… interesting to see you promoting gold 🤔
@BlkRabbitTV Says:
this guys clearly loves himself ... shitting on things he doesnt undertands gets him off. what if you know your value even if is not 'special' amongst 8 billion but you arent willing to give value because of people shitting on you all your life. what if youve seen real evil and apathy and you choose not to feed that and let it die what if you don't believe in the human experiment anymore? then your self destruction IS the sacrifice. i suggest watching the devils advocate with keanu reeves.

Tom is so far out of his element here, it’s hard to listen to.

Nothing is wrong with Love. It's just too many want to blame their own personal failures on external forces.

90% of Matthews Audience are woman, if he tells the honest truth once he will lose 90% of his audience and he is aware of that, thats why he is tiptoeing on every podcast on topics like that ^^
@GVM-wi7bu Says:
It would be very interesting to see Tom moderate JP, talking to Matthew. JP is a psychologist and can hold ‘cope vs facts’ in balance. I applaud Tom for trying for 3h though. MH is far too entrenched in his position. Nice guy, good points, but he struggled to communicate his position effectively. Not for myself as a male who believe im equal… Equal = Complimentary. We are not equal. We are complementary. Like JP says it takes 2 to make one good person.
@brianacrawford9273 Says:
probably the BEST INTERVIEW THUS FAR THIS YEAR
@SeeBillyRun Says:
This interview is what I appreciate about Tom, he requires his guests to explain their points. Not in an inflammatory way, but rather, he is trying to distil their points to better understand where his guests are coming from
@rozbehmadadi4139 Says:
Such a stupid and childish view you have.
@DPKing212 Says:
I’m a very progressive guy. I believe in having platonic female friends. Which is why I have a few issues with Matthew. He says that his wife pretty much showed him the light. Is that because he’s a great guy, or because he’s a great guy, who was already successful in one part of his life? What I’m saying is Matthew was her successful but broken project to fix. If his primary income was delivering for Amazon and driving for Uber, would she have played him out?
@blerdrotic Says:
I like Matthew but he’s speaking in platitudes. He’s talking a good game, and saying how his changes are why he’s in n amazing and healthy relationship. But is he in that relationship because that amazing woman looks up to him like Tom mentioned? It feels like he’s talking in circles to get to that point. Which is why he appeals to women primarily.
@andrewlyngooden9985 Says:
1:57:26 yes
@dvdmon Says:
I still think the main reason people are unhappy is that they are looking externally for what they should be happy about. They look to popular culture or peers and they are 'supposed' to value in a mate, in life, rather than truly introspecting to understand what they themselves want. We look externally for validation, etc. I know a lot of this is baked into our genes, but while genes are powerful, our minds can subvert these programs over time and allow us to stop acting and thinking so automatically.
@A.Montgomery Says:
Thank you Matthew for getting to the bottom of the roots. Generalisations are interesting and can help to understand differences, which can be important, and I firmly believe that we learn to integrate and learn from each other. But the next and profound step is to recognise what unites us, and that is the longing to be loved and accepted. Status, beauty and charisma will never fulfil you. Start with yourself and then find the person who loves you for who you are. And I agree 100% with his conclusion that a man often doesn't see a woman as a person, but as something abstract, as the other. But we are really the same thing. Another soul being in a male or female body with the same desires as yourself. This is a great interview because Matthew is so brave to reveal himself to all of us.
@sylviasuwan4735 Says:
I have seen lots of Matthew Hussey interviews and there are some great ones where he is in his element, unfortunately this is not one of them and it was a little hard to watch. Not sure if he felt it too but he seemed very unsure of himself
@JODIEDAVID-if4ig Says:
Wow. I’m a bit surprised about the comments. I’m not even sure why though. I got schooled. And I’m in an amazing marriage. 18 yrs. I love him. He’s amazing. But still a “guy”. Which imo is just normal.

Truth is so powerful. For both sides.
