This is all in the context of the church. It's always concerning the followers of God. "[...] For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or *what fellowship has light with darkness?* 15 What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; [...]" *2 Corinthians 6:14b-16a* ESV

Yeah. And you definitely haven’t read Rev 14:14 and 14:20 ———— 14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

Jesus used violence to solve his problems.
@davidwaakelamoku9924 Says:
We are supposed to walk and know that you are Christ in the unconscious mind. Therefore you will then show his life's purpose in consciousness mind. When he told me to seek Jesus Christ's life, I really went deep and found out some really amazing things that the Bible doesn't say. If you call yourself a Christian then you should be walking around and healing the sick and spreading the truth of what our Father GOD Holy Spirit has given the ones that believe. People don't want to see that side of Jesus but if you look at it he's saying that he was just like us once before he became the true anointed one from being baptized. He started out as a human man and went through everything first, even having relations with a certain person that the Bible hardly mentions about. GOD bless

In my opinion, Jesus telling them who their father is was still being nice (or I should say: loving). Only someone that loves will tell the truth. The response of the Jewish people to the truth of the Gospel in Acts 2 is that they were pricked in their heart while that of the Pharisees in John 8 was simply offence. They were offended even more instead of finding a way to make amends.

"Your father is the devil" "Don't try that with a sibling, by the way"! Hilarious!

I appreciate what you do sir. Thank you for choosing Jesus.

The reason everyone loses arguments against him is because your actually all good people... know the difference between right & wrong ... good & bad .... and its because I would say everyone was brought up with a religion, and he knows this and that's why hell never lose a argument against those who go to his seminars... and if you ever believed in a god well being brought up as a child... you can never truly uproot those believes... the 2 most common things people call out to in the moment of death ... is their mother and god...because of that type of work love ... but anyways the moment you lose an argument ia when moral is brought up ... if you want to take god out of the picture... have to take out the idea of good and bad... and think about only survival.. what will you be willing to do to survive ??
@Matthew_Holton Says:
Someone's right to hold whatever beliefs they choose should not be challenged. Freedom of belief should always be respected. History shows us the horrors that follow when one group forces its beliefs upon others or persecutes others just for what they believe. The beliefs themselves are a different matter. They should be challenged! Ideas benefit from challenge, from debate and being tested against evidence. Bad ideas fail when tested and good ideas survive and improve. An idea that has to be protected from challenge is an idea that cannot stand on its own merits.
@Ben-oq5wp Says:
Yeah, it all counts, doesn't it?  Including Jesus telling us that he is ignorant of things like the exact day of his return will be.  He's supposed to be omniscient, right?  Should Jesus get demoted from Godhood by Christians? Jesus also tells us there's no reason to wash our hands and that being charitable will make you clean instead.  If he created germs, he ought to know about germ theory.  Should Christians not wash their hands? In Mark it says Jesus only taught in parables to the public and would only explain his teachings in private to his disciples.  In John, Jesus claims he teaches nothing in secret.  So I guess lying is okay for Christians as well. Jesus was routinely rude to various people in his life.  He was rude to his mother when she asked him a favor, rude to his siblings when they were just looking for him, and rude to his disciples when they were expressing care for him and when they brought him food.  Is being pointlessly rude to people okay?   Jesus went off on lengthy, name-calling rants against the Pharisees (not unlike flame wars on the internet).  Should Christians act like that when they criticize people?   Jesus called a pagan woman a "dog" (which has a more vicious word in modern lingo) just for being a pagan woman down on her luck with a sick kid.  Should Christians feel free to call people the b word if they are non-Christians?   Jesus killed a whole herd of someone's pigs on a whim.  Should Christians feel free to slaughter other people's animals?   Jesus angrily cursed a fig tree for doing normal fig tree things.  Should Christians get angry at inanimate objects for doing their job?   And, as Frank mentioned, Jesus committed assault.  He resorted to violence (with a weapon, no less) in the temple area (contrary to his own teachings against violence) and not for any good cause.  It's not like he ended the practice he was angry about.  Should he get props for his heart being in the right place?   Well he certainly didn't give any props to his disciple Peter when Peter lashed out in violence for a good cause.  Indeed, when Peter chopped off the soldier's ear to protect Jesus from being taken away to be crucified, Jesus indignantly condemned Peter's rashness and lack of spiritual discernment.  And another time when Peter spoke up in the spirit of protecting Jesus, Jesus called him "Satan."  Name calling again, despite Peter's heart clearly being in the right place.  Jesus is quite the hypocrite.  Why shouldn't his disciples have called him "Satan" when Jesus committed assault and then reprimanded him for attacking the bad practices at the temple before the appointed time when the temple stuff would be destroyed?  Should Christians feel free to be such vicious, name calling hypocrites?     When I am pointlessly rude to people who care about me (or even strangers), when I resort to name-calling (or prejudice), when I am wasteful (or even destroy the property of others), when I blame things that aren't the enemy, when I am hypocritical, when I lash out in anger (or even violence), and when I want to punish people beyond a fair measure just because of the incidental impact on myself, I do not think very highly of myself.  And yet, these are the things that Jesus is portrayed as doing. And most scandalously of all, Jesus expects us to judge Jesus: John 10:37 has Jesus say: [Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father.] And Mark 13:22 and Matthew 24:24 have Jesus say: [For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.] Matthew 7:15-20 has Jesus say: [Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles?  Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.] In other words, Jesus presents himself as a prophet from the one true god and expects you to judge his words and deeds to see that they are actually good.  That is Jesus telling us to judge Jesus.  Take a moment to let that sink in, because virtually all of modern Christendom is convinced humans are absolutely not allowed to do that.    Then go back, reread my comment, and be more judgie.  Jesus might just be the wolf in sheep's clothing he warned you about.

It's all too much for me. Where was God before he created the universe; how long did he sit ( and where ) twiddling his thumbs before he had the bright idea of creating life on a small insignificant world. And why? Hadn't he got better things to do? Why does he want to be worshipped? Any human making these demands would be classified as being mentally disturbed. The universe is millions if not billions of light years across. Galaxies crash into each other, the Andromeda galaxy is on course to crash into us billions of years in the future. What intelligence created that, it's carnage out there I tell you! Just because we don't have an answer is no excuse for making one up.

A scourge of "small cords" and drove "all of them out." This thing he made of cords was diminutive. He wasn't using a Roman Scourge like what would soon enough be used on Him. When he started turning over the tables with all that money flying everywhere across the Stone Flooring of the Temple Ground and simultaneously whipping the hind quarters of the various animals and knocking over the cages/baskets of birds He created a sizeable chaotic uproar and stampede. At the same time shouting for them to Get Out Of My Father's House don't try to make it A House of Merchandise the domino effect of that chaos spread quickly. Those seeing and hearing the chaos and shouting from Him and everyone else, and that stampede approaching them quickly, began grabbing all the property (money/animals/birds etc.) they could and joined in the stampede scattering to avoid losing control of all their "precious to them" stuff. He didn't, nor did He even have to "whip" any people.

They weren’t politicians they were religious leaders who wanted to become like modern politicians because of the Romans the Romans allowed them political power over Israel with their law of Moses other then that they were subject to Roman and the Roman Empire they had no power over politics or Rome if a Jew broke the law the Jews would take care of them under their law and if they couldn’t deal with their own people the Romans threatened them but because the Pharisees were greedy and wanted more power they budded up with Roman in fear that the Romans would destroy Judea and Israel the Pharisees feared man more then god and would do anything to gain power when they should have been more concerned about their own religion more than politics

You can't confront a sinner with the gospel without confronting their sin. God has pronounced the world guilty of being wicked and condemned to Hell. That information must precede the good news of the saving grace of God by faith in Jesus Christ if the gospel is to mean anything.

@cnault3244 Says:
If people are presenting their beliefs in public and on public forums, they shouldn't expect their beliefs can't be criticized or questioned....even if those beliefs are religious beliefs. If they are in their home or church/temple/mosque/synagogue they can expect to not have their beliefs criticized.
@saxmanjpr5092 Says:
I don't think Jesus actually jacked people up in the temple, but used the whip as a warning. - My dads pastors used that verse to THROW ME OUT OF A MOVING CAR just because I disagreed with him about "needing to go to church." - And Jesus mentioned this guy BY NAME in a dream interpretation several years later and in the interpretation, used some very "choice words!" - You can not tell me that Jesus does not CUSS when a FALSE PROPHET casts him in a negative light, for I have WRITTEN EVIDENCE of Jesus "talking like a sailor."
@BigIdeaSeeker Says:
So strange that apologists so often talk about the way Jesus treated the Pharisees, yet they don’t have the slightest realization that they are the very people who stand in the place of Pharisees today. Jesus would likely address them as he did the Pharisees. The irony is thick.

"......Plack out your eyes when leads to sin, better you enter to kingdom with 1 eye then with 2 be thrown to hell"........... . "The lamb of God" will throw people to hell on judgment day. "Sweet Jesus" when He comes 2 nd time He will destroy in fire all those who do not know God and disobey His gospel........ . 2 Thessalonians 1 ch then 2 ch. 9-13. Be watchful people and REPENT of your sins and do not be deceived bc God gave all authority to Jesus to execute righteous judgment. May God be glorified for His mercy and grace only we can be saved ic OBEY HIS COMMANDS !!! He has been giving His Holy Spirit to those who OBEY and love Him. Amen
