The rest is your epigenome that responds to how we live [7:36] 'Our livers are much smarter than our eyes and our mouths…' [24:35] 'Anything that stresses your body, puts it into a state of shock is good in the long run.' [38:16] 'When I boiled it down to its essence I realized aging was a loss of information.' [1:01:58] 'That's part of the problem with aging, which is genes getting turned on when they should be kept off for decades, and then cells start to get confused.' I so wish someone would talk about the “Apeel” that is being sprayed on our fruits and vegetables. Apeel created by Bill Gates can not be washed off the fruits and vegetables. How do we detox all the heavy metals and arsenic?

Cooking polyphenols deteriorate when you cook them and Extra Virgin olive oil does too: There is sugar in everything so what is the limit so the body will start making it's own sugar - Carbohydrates should be limited but a tortilla only has 50 carbs so is that too much.

Tony, all, I am mesmerised and astounded by, and in awe of Dr David Sinclair and what he has achieved so far. I've watched every interview with him and podcast I can find. Some of his interviewers ask him dumb questions or talk about out themselves a lot. By contrast Tony your questions are refreshingly relevant, intelligent and often unique and unexpected, but always absolutely valid. It's clear that you've read and understood his book. Some of your questions to David are so unique that I expect them to flummox him. But have you noticed something? Never does he “Um” or “Ah” or hesitate or give a vague answer. Every time he instantly returns a confident, clear and unambiguous answer, without fail. That speaks volumes to me, confirming that he knows the subject very deeply. When David’s information theory of aging is eventually proven right and generally accepted, I believe will go down in history as one of the greatest ever scientists.

Very interesting. Very bright scientist. I will follow some of his advice. But watch out, don´t be overmaterialistic. Nobody will live forever, no matter what you do. Take care of your soul in the first place. “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’
@dingerma Says:
D. Sinclair has been responsible for getting NMN pulled of the American market. He figured out how to monetize it. I used to be a fan. Not he is just another servant of big Pharma.

@TomBilyeu, Interesting how you reschuffled this interview and republished it pushing the story that you had in the introduction about the Poker dealer having a stroke and then dying afterwards, to the second half of the video. Was this to minimize the attention to this as many people will comment theorizing that this was likely a Backsine related death and not related to normal aging? Or just to avoid YouTube algorithms demonetization? I’m curious to hear the reasoning, ‘cause initially I thought this was a follow up interview but then I thought it was an extended version of the interview, when it was just a reschuffed version with some commercials in the middle. By the way this was a great interview, that’s why I didn’t mind watching it twice.

Meh - I don't like this doctor. He's making A LOT of declarative statements and that makes them seem like facts when what he's talking about is how this is his current theory of how things work. Theories come and theories go and this is the exact approach that so much of modern medicine is built upon. He didn't do enough explaining about how he ensures that he's not fooling himself, a/k/a the scientific method. And the whole "take a little poison because the benefits far outweighs the effects of the poison" approach is all too common in modern medicine. He even said "Metformin can upset people's stomach's but...." and glosses over this part. Why? Because of the same shit we've been doing forever, treating symptoms. So if you explore that he'll likely talk about putting people on Priolesec or it's generic drug and "Well that controls their upset stomach so it's all good" all the while ignoring that we've now added yet another drug to our system to control bad effects of the first drug and all the while ignoring the bad effects from that 2nd drug......Like stomach cancer. But stomach cancer is rare for people taking prilosec and he'll justify that increased risk as being separate and apart from metformin. This increasing cascade of drugs to treat other symptoms caused by previous drugs is ridiculous. Doctors today think everything they do is in isolation when it's anything but. This is beyond annoying to me and why total elimination seems like a much healthier approach. Honestly I'm sick of his style of approach to science and medicine. It's caused a TON of harm to people over the years. I'm surprised you didn't press him more on the points Tom. Honestly
