The Real Reason Tesla Needed The GigaPress. Have you ever wondered how Tesla cars are made? Well, today, I will answer part of that question by telling you about how Tesla makes its car bodies using machines known as Giga presses.
Time and again, Elon has reminded us that Tesla's Giga factories are the company's actual product, and the cars are just by-products. And Giga presses are an integral part of all Tesla Giga factories.
So join me as I look more into Giga presses to figure out why Tesla developed the machine. But before we go any further, let me first explain what a Giga press actually is.
Until now it is not clear whether Tesla is successfull with GigaPress/MegaCast. Hardly any cases are known where customers received a Model Y with MegaCast.
