@EdwardandJessicaMiller Says:
And his poetry sucked too.
@jesurenbnb Says:
Look, i know some people might say its "unfair" to judge a historical figure through modern eyes and contexts...but that story about his daughter is really messed up and heartbreaking no matter what you think.
@bullymaguire243 Says:
Dead or Alive reference?
@annaleinchen145 Says:
It’s interesting how nowadays we tend to not read/consume art from people who are - how to put this …- assholes, we are fascinated by works of people that fall under the same label because they lived a bit longer ago 😃
@swostikasharma9647 Says:
He had pretty privilege also he did all those questioning and horrible actions. His daughter asked for him and he left her to die alone.
@swostikasharma9647 Says:
16:26 😂😂😂 Simon realised it this way?!😂😂😂
@youwillbemocked1397 Says:
Byron = Angry Homosexual who was groomed into being gay. Got it. 🤔
@cuthbertjolly4859 Says:
Very difficult for me to follow the narrator's way of speaking.
@poetrymusic86 Says:
If you love Romantic poetry, I’ve just released a musical album inspired by Lord Byron’s most powerful poems. From She Walks in Beauty to Darkness, each piece is reimagined as an emotional orchestral ballad. I’d be honored if you give it a listen. 🎧
@Mook33rook Says:
Why bro speaks this fast , OMG
@bobber3000 Says:
Greatest poems the world has ever known? Dislke, I'm outta here. His poetry is trash. How come Mary Wolstonecraft whupped his ass in a writing competition? Millions of people still read Frankenstein. You are Byron's one man fan club. Later.
@LeePearson-fx9vw Says:
You're speaking far to quickly due to your accent. This is like one big run on sentence. I'm Interested but to irritated to listen to anymore.
@w8m4n Says:
I live close to Newstead, and of course the Abbey. In the local town of Hucknall, you'll find many references to Byron, including the Byron Cinema, a memorial garden, oh and Byron himself! Not only in statue form, but in person. He's buried at St Mary Magdalene Church
@noahalliston3838 Says:
Most failed experiment of conversion therapry since Scientology... Byron was a monster.
@robinhowes6694 Says:
And a sexual pervert too boot
@GaryLeimback Says:
Despite his ups and downs in life, Don Juan is an amazing creative work. Sustaining a difficult rhyming scheme like that is truly genius, and the poem is fascinating.
@lindanorris2455 Says:
TOO MUCH MARKETING HERE OF ENDLESS ADS TO WATCH THIS VIDEO!
@lindanorris2455 Says:
OH! THOSE WITHERED LIMBS AT FAULT FOR WARS! CHILD ABUSE IN THE EXTREME, MEDICAL NEGLECTS AND WORSE!
@lindanorris2455 Says:
NARCISSIST!!!
@PattyMarshall-l8v Says:
Lord Byron was a thoroughly awful person. A brilliant poet, but a horrible man.
@obtuse12 Says:
Byron would have made a boon companion to Caligula or Nero.
@colinwhite5355 Says:
So often, in the field of artistic endeavour, our great men and women given an almighty leg-up by wealth and privilege. While being allowed a degree of protection and tolerance denied to lesser mortals his grotesque behaviour conveniently ignored. Such as it was, such will it always be. Cut straight from the John Wilmot playbook.
@Swan-rb4yg Says:
You talk faster than I can listen.
@limecay32 Says:
Could you slow down a bit
@georgemcconnell5405 Says:
What a pice of shhhh. I will never see his work as anything other than the cries of a narcissist wondering why he cant just have everything HE wants.
@michaelsousa4327 Says:
I’ve been a fan since Simon was still active on this channel. Just popped in for a rewatch. All I can say, is that he got off too easily for what he did to his daughter. Idgaf about his poems. May he rot
@Mark-ds4wn Says:
..very informative!..thank you..❤
@margaretskoog1919 Says:
A lot of info on this man. The narrator speaks so fast, I was glad for the captions.
@TJM316 Says:
He was a butt pirate.
@lindawiedman3470 Says:
Slow down!! It's hard to follow the story when you talk so fast!

I very much enjoyed your presentation of Lord Byron. I've been drawn to him since in my teens & read everything I could find on him. Such an interesting character!
@solarfed1 Says:
What a dirtbag, abandoning his daughter.
@shawneevee7490 Says:
Funny how many historical figures with the same qualities were cancelled. Would Byron be cancelled if he weren’t LGBT?
@NeilOCarroll Says:
Too fast and all about you. No thank you dickhead.
@Name-r2p Says:
Undefeated incest speedrunning champ
@richardshiggins704 Says:
Indeed if he had lived 150 years later we would have had the Cambridge 6 no doubt .
@Brenda-t5r Says:
It sounds like Byron could have been a narcissist maybe.
@williamlarochelle6833 Says:
I enjoy your clips but you speak hurriedly.
@worldsworstdad2198 Says:
Guy was like the first gangster rapper. He eviscerated people in poetry. Posterity will ne’er survey a Nobler grave than this: Here lie the bones of Castlereagh: Stop, traveller, and piss!
@alabamablacksnake9995 Says:
Safe to say he was a homosexual
@WhanuiPuru Says:
He sucks as a NARRATOR😢
@febweb17 Says:
Upon his death Byron's heart was removed and buried in Greece. His body was returned to England and was interned in the family vault in St Mary Magdalene church in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire. Some people thought that this was a myth. Years later his body was exhumed, it proved to be Byron.
@garypollard1821 Says:
Stop mispronouncing "homosexual". It betrays your rather less than erudite pedigree. The word is derived from Greek, meaning 'same' e.g. homogenous and not from Latin, meaning 'human' e.g. homosapiens.
@YiaMdj Says:
truly a sigma legend, based lord byron
@xELØCELØT Says:
So he was the original bad, mad lad!
@megdonaldson7225 Says:
Please don't talk soooo fast its very difficult to understand
