Sture Linner, old friend, telled the story of a woman choosing not him but a friend." She was so wonderful". The same story repords Sven Stolpe.

Great Bio - was a young girl when his plane went down. My parents and Grandparents were so sad about his death. Wonderful to profile such capable and honorable People ... We appear to be in such short supply of good men/women of integrity! Thanks! 😻

Now you do know why Trump is posssessed by peace-Nobel prize. Ridiculous!
@ragnapodewski4694 Says:
President Trump despises the UN, but old Germans remember well, how Germany left the "Völkerbund" and headed to war. It ended in smoking ruins and eternal shame...
@ZophiaTheWisdom Says:
Apartheid South Africa had a hand is his assassination
@ragnapodewski4694 Says:
Maybe, the CIA helped Mobutu, but he was a strong and clever man. A real nationalist.His idea of " authenticite" is the mother of the" identitary movement of European right". Some of the American "tools" did harm the hand playing with them.

I am Swedish - my aunt retired as Professor from Uppsala University - we visited Hammarskjold's grave a few years ago.,,thank you and please 'go a little slower'...;) in your delivery.
@JamesDavid-yt4ec Says:
Well at least Mr. Hammerskjold still had a surname ...(may be if he sacrificed that he would't have had to die for the UN) .... "Dag" ? is that your first name , or last name?

The Albertina crashed into a hill at 12:13am about 3 minutes after the last radio call at 12:10 am
@veriteinternational Says:
US and UK killed him - he was too independent and not willing to be manipulated.
@yolandabrinkman2653 Says:
Dag Hammarskjold, in his role as the Secretary General of the United Nations, saved the lives of two dutch UN employees. In 1961, the two dutchmen were captured by the congolese para commandoes. Dag Hammarskjold threatened the congolese government with immediate UN withdrawal unless the two dutchmen were released immediately and alive. The two men were freed within 24hours, having been tortured but alive. This is in the days prior to instant communication when moral standards still existed.
@ammi8844 Says:
I saw the movie Hammarskjöld, he was a brave men and like many times before when someone have a dream and want a better world, power and money and evil people kill the person they see as a threat. Many great men have been murded, Dag Hammarskjöld I believe was one of them.
@Miguel_El_Chileno Says:
I saw the Hammarskjold movie yesterday, please consider watching it also,
@ukemapu Says:
You can see the documentary of his death, (and Cia and Belgium connection) its called "Cold Case Dag Hammarskjold"
@ROBBER011 Says:
Swedish people are the best!
@DanielChaves1984 Says:
Can you do a video on any of your channels where appropriate about how Russia still has Veto power in the UN all because it was a founding member despite leaving the UN.
@AntonQvarfordt Says:
11:40 Correction: They actually did pretend to care. They just clearly really really didn't, at all.
@cpklapper Says:
As the son of a third-generation Swedish-American, my Mom, who idolized Dag, with my calling from my infancy to solve the problem of poverty for the people in general, and with my experience as a government economist, I had oft seen my role as a young Dag, though my approach is subtly different and I am now some years older than Hammarskjold at his death. Nonetheless, I soldier on, continuing to seek a readership for “Popular Capitalism”, and to defend myself from democratic smears.
@normal9782 Says:
why have I never heard of this great man before today? why did my country's education system seem to have omitted him entirely?
@svartorivigt5016 Says:
Just watched the trailer for Hammarskjöld movie when I was in the cinema for Oppenheimer.
@damienflinter4585 Says:
Excellent delivery. Ta.
@Fernstrom91 Says:
Great video as always. Some requests are Raoul Wallenberg, Olof Palme and Charles XII
@briandoss9232 Says:
Huh. Didn't learn about him in history class.
@Bald_Zeus Says:
While on the topic of influential swedish diplomats, you should make a video on Raoul Wallenberg. He saves thousands of jews during ww2 but was then kidnapped by the Soviets and dissapeared. Nobody knows where he ended up
@Bormannator Says:
The face behind one of the most useless organizations in the world.
@pooman4185 Says:
UN troops go to war torn countries and give drugs to kids and take advantage of woman.
@mugabowilliam4959 Says:
Can the Western world stop supplying weapons to Congo.
@kevintaylor791 Says:
Why is it that the people and subjects I suggest get made, but they don't pop up until months after?! Same damn thing happened with Haile Selassie. You could totally do another whole episode on decoding the unknown on the crash of that flight.
@annehersey9895 Says:
So why weren't UN troops sent to Ukraine to 'keep the combatants apart' the minute Russia invaded? What has changed with the UN?
@annehersey9895 Says:
Well, in my eyes, Anthony Eden's brilliant idea does a lot for the very ragged reputation of Eden's!
@talk2muchentertainment817 Says:
What’s this rumble 👀
@Nick-rs5if Says:
Dag Hammarskjöld adorns the new/current Swedish 1000-kronor (1000 crowns) banknote, the highest valued banknote in Sweden. For context, the former person adorning the 1000-kronor banknote was King Gustav Vasa, the Father of our Nation.
@dianecripps204 Says:
Rhodesia is now Zimbabwe, NOT Zambia.
@kingjamesmedia2843 Says:

So he's to blame...
@NewDealChief Says:
Now do one with Cordell Hull, the longest-serving Secretary of State and named the "Father of the United Nations".
@VonKaffe Says:
As a Swedish person, not many in our generation know about this great man. More then the names of the youtubers that bring nothing. He was a remarkable man, we need a dag hammarskjöld in these times once again. Remember I heard about him, bought his book Markings. Best investment ever!
@mikkelferupandersen5341 Says:
I’d like to propose count and diplomat Folke Bernadotte, who helped negotiate the release of 31.000 POW during the of WW2, whereafter he was unanimously chosen as the UN envoy for Palestine, only to be assassinated on duty by the Israeli Stern militia.
