Frank, Im struggling with the next issue. You wrote this book about political correctness with 3 options: promote, premit and prohibit. So since Christianity is not leading anymore in politics, we have to look at politics a complete different way. But where is the border? Since politics promotes LHBTQ in current times, to which degree do we have to take politics serious? If I look at the Dutch Government and their capitalistic system, its so unfair constructed if you look at it closely. So, why should I Abbey a system which is in the core treatening people unfair? Its economic driven and pushed people to strive for a certain income, instead of build a system of dignity and intrinsic value in work activities. So again, to which degree does the Bible text about respecting and honor the government/rulers apply in our lives? And can we honoring God approach see as a total different attitude then the government? Bless

I was with you until you just substituted religion for politics. Why does everyone need something in place of critical thinking and seeking objective truth

This ministry is a great help!
I went back and have listened to every podcast presented since early 2020.
My son told me early 2020 that he was abandoning his faith. I can see how the Holy Spirit uses Apologetics to bringing many back to faith. In my agony over this, I finally found this podcast series, I think because Voddie Bauchum got me listening to Monique Ducson, who got me listening to Alisa Childers, who got me connected to Greg Koukl (leading a small group on Tactics now), who introduced me to Cross Examined.
On a recent road trip where we had a chance to talk, we also listened to some podcasts. My son loaded a few on my player and while doing so, noticed this podcast series on my player.
Concern:
I found many in a more liberal mindset (like his) listening to something enough to find a reason to dismiss it as xxxxxx whatever that is.
My first thought is if, to them, it just sounds like a white christian republican speaking, then people will refuse to listen to why I want him to hear these arguments in the first place.
I understand that this thinking is part of the lies of the prince of the power of the air.
So I cant disagree with the logic, but I fear that my son will pick a few podcasts and then stop when one disagrees with his politics.
For me to recommend the series, I have to do with with a disclaimer that it tends to get political, please do not let that stop you from listening.
In that end, I wish it never became political. When I became born again, my politics changed as a result. The Holy Spirit saw to that.

We have the same problems, but new disguises. Once it becomes apparent who is wearing the "political" disguise, it will use a different disguise and we will continue our nature yet again and again and again. We will then boast about how much "smarter" we are than the last generation, when we cant even notice that the different disguises.
@simplyseculardave Says:
'Everything' is so political, because Christians keep trying to create a Christian version of Sharia Law in North America, where the beliefs of Christians are enforced on everyone, regardless of their beliefs, or lack of belief. Using your specific Religious texts as an excuse to control women, or force businesses to close on your holy day(s), is a drastic overstep of your religion, and is countered in the bible by the actions of Jesus. ?WWJD..? If Jesus came to earth now, he'd likely spend most of time crying in shame, and apologizing for the things that Christians have done in his name.

I do think you can believe the gospels are important without believing politics are important. I mean the person that claims so might be wrong, but that doesn't invalidate their belief in the gospel. You're great at arguing but don't let that passion for debate tease you into silly euphemisms. Respectfully but brother, we can't be invalidating someones faith over politics. It's definitely important, but it's not THAT important.

I am surprised that Frank is bringing up this topic. I listen to a lot of his podcasts but some of them are difficult to listen to because of his political commentary. I detest liberals ( as a Canadian) as much as he dislikes democrats in America, but he doesn’t seem to realize that the Republicans are equally guilty of being the cause of the ills in America. The Republicans want to color themselves as a he ‘ Christian party’ but I have never seen grown men lie and deny facts as much as the Republicans. It would behove Frank to stick to propagating the gospel and leave politics to the politicians.
@EphLife51516 Says:
Well said.
@emmanuelwisdom1367 Says:
Good response from Mr. Turek... The point remains that for the church, we have been given no "political agenda" just as we don't have a "medical, engineering, or business" as seen in scripture. Although some Christians might be called into politics, and even then, we maintain the same mandate given by Christ in Acts 1:8 (this passage is so vital, cause we see the disciples wanting relief from Roman oppression, and our Lord Jesus' response), BE WITNESSES OF CHRIST! This might mean losing some of those rights as the Apostles and the first century church did, for we know that we will not be loved by enemies of the faith, the world's system!

Your POLITICS should reflect your FAITH and you should be prepared to give a good biblical reason for BOTH.
@richardpierce2633 Says:
There is no doctrine nor any examples from the Apostles are in scripture about the neccessity "getting involved in politics". Unless it is eisegeted into it. The gospel spreads and the church as a whole has historically flourished the most during times of persecution. It always has. If you hold to an eternal worldview.
@adamsanchez222 Says:
We should do all things in love. When we share Christ with others, though it might benefit us we should do it for their benefit. Speak gently and respectfully so the seed falls on good ground.
Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.” But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. -1 Peter 3:13-16
@jordanmeyers2353 Says:
Wouldn't politics just be considering another thing we do in life as believers? What I mean by that is we work, we eat, go to school. we sleep, we do things for enjoyment and entertainment and as Christians we're supposed to put God at the center of all those things. So why would politics be any different? Maybe the reason people are getting so angry about it and caught up in it is because God is not our center focus with politics? If God is the center focus of everything else in our life then why would this be any different?
@SleezyKY Says:

Is politics your idol? Nope, at least not any more than prayer is your idol. God commands us to use both to express our faith. Hebrews 11:32-33 "And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised..."
@eliasg4070 Says:
That's true
@arthouston7361 Says:
Since politics is an expression of human desire for future outcomes, anyone who is a believer must be politically aware. If you want the Gospel to be preached to the world, you must be active to ensure that those who hate the Gospel are not successful in suppressing its message or its messengers. The Left worships the State, and they will welcome the AntiChrist, and we are responsible until the end of the Church Age to push back against those who hate the Gospel, so that many can be saved. So, who do you love? God or Man?
@williamhutcheson6511 Says:

Frank there are some things you can say with very few words flags are one of those things that communicate to people a lot without really saying anything we need to point out to people today that the DNC is flying a flag with a rainbow swastika in the center it communicates worldwide domination and we need to pointed out and reject it for what it is. Love your programs listen every week today’s was great the balance not making politics your God but confronting the real issues thanks again.
