Small clarification - far right here would be wrong. Many senior members fought against Hitler while belonging to the freikorps which you deem to be far right. This cannot simply make sense as AH was fighting for communism at this point in time. (1919). AH then left the movement, presuming under Eckarts own guidance and joined another party, which then became the Nazi party, which a lot of members from 'freikorps' also joined. It is a confusing part of history, but I do believe the far right slogan has put ppl off from seeing what it actually was. AH was a socialist, but rejected marxism on the basis that it was ran by the Jews (obviously a stupid argument) and then tried to distance himself by creating his own socialist part (national socialist party) which only differentiates itself from marxism in that it includes individuality (on the basis of race). He states this in Mein Kampf; which literally could be simply him distancing himself from his past activities with the communists.
