So switching to selection logging that doesn't highgrade will protect overhead canopy for hydrology & protect relative old growth. For Posterity.

The lies are remarkable aren't they. What is, and that's a capital IS, is that the mega rich, once they have the robot Ai army up and ready to defend them then we are gone. It is that simple.
The bottom of the food chain will be removed from existence. This Will be followed by a purge on any underground survivor's and all that will be left is a world where a few very wealthy families just control everything including Ai. These families will have their work force, no wages, no food just maintenance, which will be done by the Ai anyway.
If you really think about it the world will be much better with only a few thousand people living on it. Resources will replenish, food will be plentiful and there will be no significant pollution, no wars as these families will have everything, certainly nothing to fight over and as the Ai develops future science then space will become a holiday destination and not a challenge. When that happens our species will find suitable planet and start another earth with Ai tools and simply grow their universal power and in order to tackle any outside threats that may be out there.
The truth is human life will only continue within these families and will only be allowed to grow for their pleasure and fun. maybe pleasure models that last till 20 years old if that.
Ai is the thing they have been waiting for. When fully complete they will be killing the large majority with virus's, as they have started to do and the rest of us won't even be history. They will rewrite the history books to make it look like nothing ever existed before them and so everything is nicely buried and conscience and guilt will have been wiped out too.
It's all so easy when you see the plan for what it is. You either fight back or let it happen. I can't see the couch potatoes of world wide society winning this one or even thinking about trying.
Until D day they will smile in your face tell you not to worry and continue the secret selective slaughter.
