Canoo Is A Genius Truck, Here's Why

????

The world of automobiles has changed in the last ten years. This is partly due to Tesla's daring approach to vehicles, and the rise of their successful Electric Vehicles. In the last few years, new markets have emerged for electric vehicles and experimental automobile companies. New automobile giants have tried to create the lightning Tesla hit. Unfortunately, many companies have promised to deliver. However, time has judged them as pretenders with nothing or little to show for all their promises. Not even Tesla is immune from this, a glaring example of its failed promise is the Cybertruck. However, one company looks like it has a real shot of being more than a pretender. One company that stands out with real promise. [Slight Pause] Canoo. Canoo is an EV Start-Up that is on a mission to bring EVs to everyone. Today, we will be discussing its EV truck simply called the Canoo Pickup Truck and why it's genius

it's not masculine, it has feminine curves. the Cyber truck has masculine angles, dummies. Let Tony know. And thanks for mentioning the Canoo has no combustion engine in this video way too many times. No trailer hitch on the back? How would a trailer be pulled if the bed extension is extended and a trailer needs to be attached. Fog lights, front tow/pull hitches? A front winch possible? where is the spare tire located?

According to the video at 5:27 to 5:37 the truck bed gains two feet in length. Who is responsible for editing these things?

Build the pickup and the masses will come. It’s a winner, now it just needs to get into production.

Over 50k only around 200 mile EV range pass. This design is copying from Daihatsu Deckvans, this is not a original design.

I think the most important takeaway from this is that AI is not yet ready to write dialog for videos.

Noting this video is 10 months old, if you haven't looked at Canoo yet, you might like the fact that Canoo has extended thier pick-up line up. The testing for the military has created 2 new versions of the pick-up. They're named the Screaming Eagle (after the 101st Airborn) and the Bulldog (a reference to the USMC mascot). Both trucks are touted as LTVs (light tactical vehicles). The difference between these and the standard pick-up is primarily its more rugged design. Bigger wheels, a flatbed with stake sides instead of a pick-up bed. And a couple small things. I personally like the Bulldog because it's a true crew cab. The Eagle is a strait cab (no extension). If the pick-up somehow found the ability to have the Bulldogs crew cab and big wheels and tires, it would be perfect. Don't expect that to happen though. What makes Canoo affordable is the company's ability to offer 7 vehicle styles while only needing to build one sled (the brains and bronze of the company). So trying to fit the extra space needed for a crew cab and still have a bed that can be extended to a full 8 feet is just a little too much for the sled. That's fine though. If it keeps the price point to where normal Americans can actually afford to drive, then let's go with what we have. If you couldn't tell, I'm all in on this company.

Canoo,the Volkswagen Buzz etc. Where are they???? Stop selling things that don't exist. Tired of waiting and waiting while,over time, the concept changes ,often lacking the best features of the original. Show me these cars WHEN THEY ACTUALLY EXIST.

The most incredible thing in this video is how they managed to stretch a two minute video to 13 minutes.

The new postal vehicle? Maybe?
@danielyim267 Says:
bought stock in Canoo
@aikidoshi007 Says:
The most amazing thing about Canoo is that there aren't already 50 other companies doing the same thing. Once the skateboard and the software are sorted out (as they are in a Tesla for example) you can build whatever you want on top, as demonstrated by both Canoo and Tesla.
@nap812 Says:
if they add an NACS plug i’m definitely in. we already have a model 3!

Where's the beef?
@jimihendrix1575 Says:
Looks like a modern, updated version of my 1961 VW double-cab pick up. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery, they say. VW should have contacted (or partnered) with this company, because this vehicle looks MUCH more like VW's new van SHOULD have looked! VW drops the ball again.

I’ve owned both the AMC Pacer and the Pontiac TranSport. Both had windshields similar in size and design to Canoo. It’s very difficult to see out around the forward-curved A-pillar and the cluttered up front/side windows. It’s a poor design for safe driving.

This video is so full of crap it's hilarious.

amazing 😍

Would love to see the campervan vesion of Canoo. This company deserves success with its innovative design and for making their EVs more affordable.

Does this really exesit or just trying to make money out of Elon Musk.
@donaldscobie8455 Says:
Reminds me of the old VW crew cabs.
@carls.6746 Says:
the canoo vehicles are not forward control/cabover vehicles. the door and steering wheel is behind the front tire, not in front or above it.

LOL! LOL! yet one more "very slick" video on "yet another" electric "truck." LOL! LOL! i had to LAUGH when the narrator said the range was "200 miles" - WOW!! NO ONE, i repeat, NO ONE has yet figured out how to overcome several MAJOR OBSTACLES for electric trucks: 1. lack of range; 2. lack of towing capacity; 3. inability to operate in cold temperatures without SIGNIFICANT loss of performance/capability. electric trucks will work in UNIQUE applications like congested urban areas or "short distance" delivery applications. but as Ford is now finding out with their MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR "experiment" - the F-150 Lightning - an all-electric truck simply cannot provide all the COMMON capabilities that a normal AMERICAN "truck buyer" expects. GOOD LUCK "canoe." perhaps you should have concentrated on building a small, two person, flotation device for use in "water environments."
@tgmotz Says:
Environmentally friendly? Depends on the envelope you are analyzing the make the claim. If your envelope includes the sourcing of materials to make this vehicle and the charging then it isn't environmentally friendly at all. But if you want to trick the public into believing it is environmentally friendly then your envelope will start and end with the vehicle itself as it doesn't emit CO2. This might have worked years ago but folks aren't ignorant about this anymore.

I'm suing... these designs are clearly stolen from the drawings of cars I made when I was 4.

Now if they can only tow 3000 pounds over 150 miles...

EVs, the cars filled with the most gimmicks and un-economical. They're not even created with practicality in mind but how many gimmicks and toys can we fit in it to make the inflated price make sense.
@tellinustr8up Says:
If i’m Elon Musk i’m buying out this company and making a whole new line up of Tesla models based on these concepts and i’m adding the Cyber truck to this series of EVs
@toothasaurus Says:
I don’t understand. A unibody design without a midgate.
@karenromero1703 Says:
My dogs will love the open area in the back.
@anthws Says:
I have a deposit on the LV and the PU and I have thousands of shares of GOEV so I'm hoping this will take off. That said, this video is... lacking. You keep talking about the pickup while showing pictures/videos of the delivery van... same skateboard but vastly different appearance. Confusing and not helpful.
@shauncobbs6155 Says:
Will it come in a 5 or six seater
@hemaccabe4292 Says:
What’s hilarious, this thing has a gajillion features and the Cybertruck’s ramp is more valuable than all of them put together.
@hemaccabe4292 Says:
Will never be mass produced.

Clickbait vaporware.
@manuelmachado1276 Says:
partly due to tesla. Are you a moron? TESLA is the ONLY REASON others HAD NO CHOICE BUT FOLLOW or go out of business
@DrinkingStar Says:
Rather than buying the truck, I bought stock in the company instead. If they succeed, I hope they make a solar hardtop convertible EV. If they do make one, I would be the first in line to buy one.
