No wonder on nice days i don’t see anyone outside.
@happyskeg1 Says:
Total bullshit. Video games stimulates the brain like nothing else.... Who are these morons
@MrJRHEBERT Says:
The Heaven's Gate cult guy came back to life
@lucreziamorganti9115 Says:
That’s absolutely true and terrifying!!!😰
@Vertchu Says:
Cmon YT algorithm, gimme more of this
@25sigmaa Says:
...generations migrate all of their devices onto a screen enclosed patio with fans/ac/heaters and no chairs while the sun is out with pure grass under their feet and blue light blocking glasses! 🤓🕹👨🏽💻🤳🥴😏
@legacychase3702 Says:
Put your kid in sports, moderate their gaming, and move on. If you don't let your kid get screen time, they say they will be behind technologically, if you do then they're brain is little 😂 The smartest people in the world be on the computer all day 😮
@rasheed9705 Says:
didnt finish the video.. Dont want mt brain to shrink.
@kingjae1498 Says:
So it's oxygen and vitamin d related😒...think I'm a start making dramatic clickbait vids like this...gets the ppl going😄
@JJNow-gg9so Says:
This is your opinion. Being outside in the sunshine is very important I agree with you on that point.
What is not address is it some of us are not able to get outside and be in the sunshine.
@nathanielracine Says:
I have adhd and am in mensa, I can tune into yt shorts for 12 hrs a day when Im depressed, learn a lot. I think it depends how you use screen time
@philnel7516 Says:
What rubbish. Which profession today is possible without a screen?
@DavidMartins1 Says:
Yes. I think my brain just shrinked from watching this.
@-CC_.Puppets- Says:
Very vague statement. Need some evidence. And specifics.
@AdritaDas02 Says:
What about those who need the screen for studying?
@bkb04g Says:
I wonder if that’s only applicable to developing brains, as a function of the reduction of actual brain size via the halt of the neural network’s growth in all domains.
Or does the activity reduce a fully grown adult brain size? And if not, does it affect the brains capacity instead of size?
Either way, it’s obvious that we should put a limit onto screen use at least as strict as one placed on video gaming.
As parents, we should treat phone or tablet use like we treat eating candy—we don’t really care how badly our child wants to eat another piece if they’ve already had their full. Similarly, we don’t allow children to eat candy every day of the week, late into the night. Developing human usage of these devices should be no different.
WE TRULY MUST FIND A SOLUTION TO OUR SMARTPHONE DEPENDENCE.
AND THEN USE THAT SOLUTION CONSPICUOUSLY SO THAT OUR CHILDREN/NEXT GENERATION FOLLOW SUIT, BECAUSE LORD KNOWS THEY NEED TO
@Qweenofglxy Says:
That’s right, kids are humans and not robots.
@nexstory Says:
We are all, without exception, landlocked to this unsustainable paradigm without the creativity, imagination, and will to break free. It doesn't matter whether or not one is living on a mountaintop enjoying a ray of sunshine or lying in an alleyway, completely drenched in rain, the greater narratives driving modern civilization are ultimately destructive to us all. Sadly, it is artificial, rather than authentic intelligence that rules the day.
@alexlonac5858 Says:
Thanks for amazing video ❤
@acx2269 Says:
Thats why we have a literacy skills problem in schools! Limit kids use of social media!!
@devonrd Says:
Ehm... Source?
What is this study that he's referring to. Screen time can be highly cognitively challenging. One could be studying, playing chess, solving math problems.
How is screen time defined in this study? His claim seems imprecise, and no reference to the study is made.
@ZevTallone Says:
Huge assumption that smaller brain is a bad thing.
- Human brain shrunk 10% in the last 30,000 years. So we are dumber than we were then?
- Smaller brain can mean greater organ/neuro efficiency. Brain found a way to function better with less and shrinks.
- Studies show low correlation btwn brain size and intelligence among humans. Go read those studies before deciding what you want to believe.
@beenjammin1750 Says:
Yeah.. I'd like to actually see this study and how they got to the conclusion. Also.. at what point would it start affecting? Any screen time? A lot? How much? Seems fishy
@StrengthScholar0 Says:
There's actually evidence that video games improve general problem solving skills but sure.
@dessiemalone8315 Says:
He reminds me so much of Robin Sharma 🤗
@annieorben Says:
That's interesting. I'm a computer programmer. I spend most of my time in front of the screen developing software for the medical industry using advanced AI systems for software development. I've also made it a habit of taking an effective nootropics stack, eating cleanly, and exercising regularly, which does help to increase brain size. I may watch too much YouTube. I should find something more productive to do with my time.
@neko6 Says:
"Not getting exercise" - let's say kid 1 sits at home, reads, studies, and plays the piano all day long, and kid 2 plays video games all day long except one hour playing soccer outside with other kids, according to this blood flow factor kid 2 should be doing better brain-wise than kid 1... How does that make sense?
@Bass.Player Says:
Well this is BS, I have learned more on the internet than I ever did in collage. Thanks to internet my knowledge is far greater than it has ever been. I play a game for about one hour a night... No social media and I go outside often plus I take D3/K2 supplements
@LucysEasyKitchen Says:
And here I am watching this on screen time😂
@vagabondcaleb8915 Says:
WTF? Video games are good for your brain...Sigh...
