Correlation is not causation. Could have simply be that obese people who use mouth wash more than twice a day do so because they eat more often, leading them to develop type 2.

I am so angry! All those years I was convinced I needed it. I spend hundreds of dollars on it, burned the hell out of my mouth for the sake of my “ health “ oh well, I can save lots of money now knowing I don’t need it.
@starrebornalpha Says:
Not true. Listerine doesn't kill all bacteria but only the two bad ones which are Streptococcus mutans and Porphyromonas gingivalis. Listerine doesn't kill the others that also live in your saliva
@unknownavenger9359 Says:
So your saying obese people get a high chance of getting type 2 diabetes.... who would've thought 😮😮😮😂😂😂
@YouTube_is_crap Says:
Well I've already got that so I'm plowing ahead with the Listerine 🤣
@allanthomas6097 Says:
Um no. Its the obesity thars causing the diabetes
@RealWatermelonCat. Says:
So obese people who use antibacterial mouthwash have a 50% higher chance of getting diabetes!!!
In other news: Chronic cigarette smokers who play guitar have a 50% higher chance of getting lung cancer.
Put down those guitars and mouthwash’s everybody 🗣️🗣️
@ansn5108 Says:
Wouldn't you deduce that it's the obesity causing the type 2 diabetes 🤷♀️
@sullyh4040 Says:
If subjects needed to use mouthwash more than twice a day, they were probably eating a lot of snacks

This screams of another epidemiology study that drew a post hoc conclusion. $100 we find out later that people who use antibacterial mouthwash twice a day are twice as likely to be obese alcoholics.
@eduardooramaeddie4006 Says:
It's true, it's so sweet listerine
@TheBadMoJoe Says:
Doesn’t tooth paste do the same thing with similar ingredients (alcohol and Fluoride)?
@whenraindropsfall Says:

@jamiesmith4194 Says:
Basically - use mouth wash at night but not in the morning. Sorted ✔️
@jnthnklng Says:
Obese people would have a higher chance of diabetes regardless of their hygiene
@jc2557 Says:
Does this also apply to natural mouthwash coconut oil? I oil pull daily with fantastic results. Which is antibacterial? Or only chemical?

@cheeriohos Says:
A study that involves only obese people seems flawed to me. To me this sounds like someone being like " a study of cancer patients show that praying 5 times a day inscreases the chance of early death by 35% " ...ya im sure its the prayers killing these peoole faster than others and its not the cancer.
@sarathkumarelangovan1294 Says:

I hardly ever used mouthwash because I felt it was just a way for the company to make more money and your teeth and mouth should be clean if you brushed properly.
@PoM-MoM Says:
🤮 yuck I can smell his bad breath through the screen😅
@nema151 Says:
Take everything with a "grain of salt" people who use mouthwash 2x a day are probably doing so in place of brushing. (It doesn't... at all) The people who make sthort cuts with their health are probably not taking care of their diet properly as well.
@TriggaTreDay Says:
I changed my families toothpaste over to homemade and we don’t have bad breath unless we are eating things that are really strong in smell or high in acid.
@vinche122 Says:
