If you're being totally honest, in the hardest situations and relationships you're acting out of fear and judgment and this episode is for you. Lewis Howes has built success in more areas than most people dream or imagine to be possible. He's a bestselling author, All-American athlete, entrepreneur, podcast host, high performer and high achiever in many ways that continues to inspire hundreds of millions of people. Today he's sharing insight on how he's come to find harmony in his wildly ambitious dreams to impact millions of people and do so from a place of peace, self-love, and radical self-acceptance. Doing internal work and healing from emotional wounds is just the beginning for Lewis Howes' journey to greatness as the highest possible level. Key impactful lessons to take note of in this conversation is: In lacking the courage to be yourself, you're essentially abandoning yourself Wanting to belong can drive you to results, but they're results from unhealed wounds and you still don't love or accept yourself in the end A powerless state of meaning comes from a powerless mindset If you're tired of responding to life and all the challenges thrown at you, out of fear that constantly triggers your anxiety, then Lewis Howes' formula for success may be the answer you've been looking for. Check out Lewis Howes latest book, The Greatness Mindset: https://www.amazon.com/Greatness-Mindset-Unlock-Power-Today-ebook/dp/B0B6ML61NP QUOTES: 'When I felt triggered, attacked, abused or misunderstood, I can sometimes respond from a lack of courage in order to please, like me, or not be upset with me.' 'You betray yourself when you're living in a powerless mindset.' 'When we conceal our pain that means we're ashamed of something, we're hiding something, we're afraid that if someone knew this about me they wouldn't like me, accept me, or love me.' 'When you squeeze a human being what comes out is the emotions inside.' 'Ambition from a wound never really felt like the best thing, but ambition from a meaningful mission is what it's all about.' 'I don't think you need a big mission, but I do think you need a meaningful mission.' 'A perfect mindset is not one free of a negative inner voice, it's one that knows how to handle and minimize the impact of said negative inner voice.' "Great" conversation. I love both of you guys. I have learned so much about food and health from you and your guests. Thank you for all you do! I always hear so much about this negative voice people have inside their head. Maybe I'm deaf but I don't hear it. I talk to myself as if I'm my best friend. When I screw up I say it's okay sweetie you can try it again or it doesn't matter or tomorrow is another day yada yada yada. I also don't feel driven to achieve my highest potential. Maybe because in my younger life as a single parent I had to drive myself to make sure my kids had a decent life. Now I enjoy relaxing, having long walks with my dog, watching the sunrise, otters play and listening to smart people on YouTube. For me success is having enough money for food and shelter and a little bit more , MORE importantly lots of free time. I wonder if striving to achieve more doesnt come from a place of having something to prove. Tom: consider this:. A person under hypnosis who believes they are being touched with the red hot poker will actually develop a blister. Why then is it not possible for a person to believe /put themselves into a state of self-hypnosis and enlist the bodies immune system to get rid of a tumor, a pimple Etc. Many great minds have written books on this subject. Not woo woo it is science. Your thoughts can be the conductor of your own biology it would be great if you could have some shows about this. Like Tom I believe Stardust to Stardust. But unlike Tom I can't think of a more magnificent thing to be. I am reminded of the poem in immorality: , do not stand my grave and weep. I am not there I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints in snow . I am the sunlight on ripened grain I am the gentle Autumn rain... . ....

Jeez, Tom, will you just shut up and let the guy finish what he is trying to say instead of cutting him off so quickly over and over it's super frustrating as a listener....

Hey there! 🎉 Exciting news to share - I've just applied to not one, but TWO openings at your amazing company! 🚀 While I may not have all the experience listed, I'm a fast learner and genuinely passionate about your mission. I firmly believe I'd be a valuable asset to your team if given the opportunity to interview. 🌟 So, fingers crossed, and let's make this happen! 💪

Lewis we love ya bro but I don't think we are quote-unquote privileged, or should feel doing so, to use the language we grew up learning and speaking!

What a truly fascinating and important blessing of a conversation this was to witness! I've been delving into it every here and there over the past month and it gave me so much to think about. I bought Lewis's book because of this interview and I'm almost halfway through. I seriously recommend this book to anyone. I suffer from anxiety and the exercises it gives us in the first chapter finally put clear words onto my Meaningful Mission. I felt like I've always sort of known, but being able to see the common thread throughout my whole life and making it as clear as possible finally put my mind at peace. I am honestly surprised by the accuracy of the exercises. Thank you so much Lewis for your book, and thanks Tom for introducing me to Lewis Howes!
@HonzaRajnyy Says:
I really recommend the Book Journey of Souls by Michael Newton. It might give you a hint about what happens after our physical bodies turn off 🙂 Interesting "fact" from this book is there's a guide who confronts you about what you've missed on in your past life and what hints were given to you that you haven't capitalised on. So you're probably not that far off when you imagine there's a confrontation between who you were and who you've should have been. Great episode, love both of you.

I really love the topics he has on his show, but it's extreme disturbing and a bit rude when he's interrupting and changes the topic to himself. That's a shame cause I really like the level on this show!

Hi, love the episode, specially that Tom and Lewis are so different and their mind works in different ways, which makes it even more interesting. Can anyone please tell me the title of the biography mentioned in the episode?

@RudiZimmerer Says:
Sure I am the most imperfect person. For myself, if I write books or blogs, I benefit from them the most, because I get clarity... Success is not important, to me. It is important to serve the Lord, to connect to the Lord... All the other things are too superficial, and in the end, they don't help us... Who are You? What is God for you? What is your real mission? Are You happy with your life? What do you regret? A moment of joy or happiness is not a lost moment. (Chinese proverb)
@bernhardzwiker Says:
Great interview. Thank you!
@Ironman-cz4te Says:
Great podcast! Thanks, Lewis for being your authentic self! Yes! I believe we are spiritual beings having an experience in a human body! I also believe the body has the ability to heal itself. It reminds me of the great Peter Crone, Joe Dispenza, Etc.❤

I see that fear of success is foreign (a blind spot) for Tom. It is much more common than you think. The famous Shakespeare - “to be or not to be…” quote sums up the concept accurately. It’s about the new threats that await.

Holy crap. This literally is the best session I’ve ever listened to in this genre. Tom is such a great interviewer and Lewis is so good at packing up super emotional topics into words.

Two of my favorite peeps on the planet having a conversation. 🎤
@maria.falkiewicz Says:
But you talk only about Spanish and salsa 😂
@MichaelaSmith Says:
Gentlemen - LOVE this conversation. Your missions are the same and yet you are SO DIFFERENT. Lewis' path feels very aligned to mine, mission, healing wounds, peace, harmony and simple (not easy) KNOWING when you are on the right track. I love Tom and every time I listen to Tom I hear unresolved wounding. Push. Almost anger. This is not a judgement - no right / no wrong:-). I just feel like I want to give Tom a massive hug and say - it's OK. I love you both - thank you for being such inspirations!
@gabrielachavez3726 Says:
Please excuse my question I have been trying to figure this out. If we’re an idea 💡 feelings aren’t real -why do painful experiences, physical rape impact us constantly if it’s not really occurring & it’s in our mind. Why bother dealing with the past and why is it a bad rap to just disassociate ? perhaps I’m not really very clear but if anyone can help with this question I’d appreciate it. Lewis your are loved. You have helped me a great deal.
@loisthompson1155 Says:
And Tom, don’t worry, no one is ever going to think that you’re smart.
@loisthompson1155 Says:
Tom, stop asking these zero sum questions. Have some kids and see what happens.

Guys you just keep giving ❤ Thanks from the bottom of my heart ♥️
@CreationTheories Says:
If anyone is listening to the Salsa Dancing part and is/are worried about trying the dance style; remember to practice rotating the hips in the figure 8 motion, from up to down, side to side, and forward/backward, in the mirror at home. Make doing all 3 motions in one motion, and make it fluid, (keeping your shoulders stable the whole time) and no one will laugh at you because you'll already know how to move yourself.

I have watched Lewis for a few years now. This is the most informative conversation. I am the female version of him. He is so amazing how he breaks this down. He is vulnerable and it's so attractive coming from a man. Go Lewis.. you're a beautiful human!! You are the best at being true to yourself and understand it helps so many of us in this crazy world. You're unstoppable.
@marcieflanagan3130 Says:
Tom's potty language especially the "F" bombs he adds for shock or whatever show a limited vocabulary on his part & a need to shock. As a result we limit our views of Tom B. Who, BYW, is very unhealthy looking. Period.
@daviddriggers5659 Says:
What a fantastic roundtable!!! It's not a typical interview - so many distinctions on what we need to do to build greatness within us... To live at the next level is not a one and done process, it's continuous. I learned SO much from both Lewis and Tom 👍👍
