Purgatorio and paradise sounds are just as interesting.

Once Adam and Eve sinned they were thrown out of Eden, so that they would not eat from the tree of life and live forever. Revelation tells us that in the New Jerusalem there will be 2 similar trees of life so that we live for ever. Now can someone answer...??? Since in ''Hell'' there will be no such tree of life, how will the sinners live forever so that they will be tortured? Answer is that there is no eternal torment and no Hell. God is love !!! Sinners will just not live anymore. They will stay in their graves for ever.

Purgatory does not exist it is catholic rhetoric for its members to pay and pay and pay to get his so-called Sals out of Purgatory and into heaven. If anyone is going to end up in level nine, will you tell me. Purgatory is one of the greatest foods any church has ever come up with. It’s heaven or hell no in between and no church wood or should make him pay money to get out of this so cool place get out of that church please I pray, Jesus is waiting for you

I think the references to Greek mythology are because the fallen Angels were in fact the Greek Gods. Why do you pledge Greek when you are trying to get into a fraternity ?

Purgatory is just as frightening as the hell of the dammed but at least you are not dammed in purgatory and beond gods love and mercy there. allthough in catholic teaching it says purgatory is filled with fire and it is very painfull but the main sorce of the pain is not the fire that one is engulfed in but the pain that one can not enter heven and gods precence at that moment. but god does send the virgin mary with angels and the baby jesus to sing to and give comfort to the souls in purgatory. it is said once the holy virgin appears the pain in purgatory lessens. Prayers do help them and there are some catholic prayers which are said to release 1000 souls from that place at one time and into heaven as long as it is said faithfully with a compassionate hart for there suffering.

I dread purgatory more than hell because at least hell is interesting, Purgatory is like Boring Hell, similar sins, even though you're tasked with overcoming them, but the trials just seem so much milder than the punishments, and in another way it's kind of like Heaven, as it was portrayed in Johnny the Homicidal Maniac.
Still though, I'm pretty sure I'm headed there when I die, because I have done many terrible crappy things to people which I've tried to atone for, and I've managed to do some good things too, I still intend to do good things, not because of an obsession with the afterlife but only because I feel better doing good things than bad things, I get no satisfaction from them bad things, I get overwhelmed with guilt and self-loathing, but still I slip up every now and then and react out of anger or jealousy and I regret it for the rest of the day, I still intend to do good things and have done them, I've started donating blood seven times and they texted me and told me it saved three lives so that was good to hear, I think my deeds will just keep balancing each other out though.
Deffo headed for Purgatory, I was already born on a pacific Island it's likely I'll spend my afterlife on a mythological one too.
If I mess up even worse I can imagine it'll either be the 3rd or 7th circle for me, at least given what Dante believes, because I love food and I accidentally fell over and sodomized myself with a cucumber one time, and I've been violent to people and attempted suicide twice in the past, boy I've run laps around that place, no murders though, unless insect murders and torture count, but I've given that up.
I don't think suicide should be a sin because it meant "you were ungrateful for the gift of life" because it's kind of an incorrect way of looking at it, nobody ever committed suicide because life was boring, they just wanted to end their pain, but I think it should kinda be frowned upon because, even though you didn't do it with bad intentions; you tried to end your pain through a means that only passed it on to any loved ones in your life, whether they're friends, family or pets.
I mean that's what brought me out of my attempt was thinking about how my mum and brother and cat would be feeling if I went through with it, I felt bad enough but if they found me dead from self-inflicted wounds they would've been mortified and felt horrible and guilty, so I resisted, I wasn't going to stop my suffering if it became the start of their suffering, I still felt depressed and suicidal and still had the urge in the back of my mind but luckily things have picked up for me, bit shaky every now and then but I've never considered suicide an option since those initial two attempts.
And if I somehow end up in heaven I don't really mind where they stick me.

As a nondenominational Christian, I find Purgatory very interesting. I've even heard my grandma, a Catholic, talk about her belief in Purgatory, and my sister, also practicing some Catholicism, who I think believes in something to this effect. I've even heard recently a few near-death experiences where people claimed to have seen Purgatory, though I don't know for sure. I was mostly brought up on the ideas of Heaven and Hell, but who knows? There are many things in this life, and most likely many more things in the afterlife, that we may never understand, that is, until we get to the afterlife, then I imagine God will clear everything up for us. LOL
I don't know for myself if Purgatory exists, but some small part of me hopes it does. I like it solely for the idea of it representing a chance for more souls to get into Heaven, and less going into Hell. Need I say more about its potential pro? A con is that, well, there's a chance it could be a man-made thing, so I'm not ready to proclaim it as truth yet. But I only speculate at this point. Like I said, I don't know for sure, so take it or leave it. :/

souls of those who repented too late, so id assume there would be quite many lutherans then. since lutherans dont need to constantly repent like catholics do and usually people come in faith when we are on our death bed and realize that eternal hell just might be plausible and are fast to repent.
