John MacArthur started a cult following of Lordship Salvationists in California decades ago, where many false cults are birthed. It began with MacArthur's heretical book, literally telling on himself, called HARD TO BELIEVE, in which he errantly states... “Salvation isn't the result of an intellectual exercise. It comes from a life lived in obedience and service to Christ as revealed in the Scripture; it's the fruit of actions, not intentions. There's no room for passive spectators: words without actions are empty and futile...The life we live, not the words we speak, determines our eternal destiny” SOURCE: Hard to Believe, p. 93. What? The life we live determines our eternal destiny? Heresy!!!

The Gospel of Christ - His death, burial and resurrection (1 Cor 15:1-4, Rom 1:16, Gal 1:1-12, Eph 3:1-9, Eph 2:5-8. Few understand the implications of each of those 3 acts (death, burial and resurrection) performed on our behalf by Jesus. Jesus didn’t die for Himself, He died for you ✝️🩸[1 Cor 11:24 (KJV) this is my body, which is broken for YOU]….. Everything Jesus accomplished at the cross can now be “imputed to you by faith” apart from works (Gal 3:14). What is everything? Sinlessness, perfect righteousness and justification can all be received by faith — 1 Corinthians 1:30 (NLT) God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin. Summary: 🩸Jesus was crucified for our sins - we are now considered sinless ✝️ [1 Peter 2:24 (LSB) Who Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that having died to sin, we might live to righteousness; by His WOUNDS YOU WERE HEALED]. 🩸Jesus rose again for our justification - we are now declared righteous ✝️[Romans 10:10 (KJV) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness]…. ✝️Romans 4:25 (CSB) He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification. 🩸Jesus is seated in heavenly places — ditto we are too ✝️[Ephesians 2:6 (KJV) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus. And by the grace of God we are already dead and free from sin just as Jesus is. We are as Jesus is once we believe the Gospel and receive the Spirit (Rom 6:5-11). Jesus suffered and died for sins. Our sins are paid for just as if we suffered ourselves to pay for our own sins. Jesus resurrected to new life, therefore we have been resurrected to new life. Jesus is seated in heavenly places, we are already seated in heavenly places. Anything that is true of Jesus is now true of you - that’s the point. And all comes as a free gift, by grace through faith, not works (Eph 2:8-9)! Consider these points: 1️⃣ Is Jesus perfectly righteous? Yes! And what is His can now be yours by faith!! ✝️ 2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV) For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Because of the cross, God can now freely impute His righteousness to us by faith, not works: Romans 4:5-6 (KJV) 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Romans 3:24 (KJV) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Imputed righteousness is a biblical teaching throughout the New Testament. Romans chapter 4 is often considered the imputation chapter. Read it carefully and often! 2️⃣ Can Jesus ever commit a sin? No, and neither can a saved child of God! ✝️ Romans 4:8 (KJV) Blessed [is] the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. Note: no sin can be imputed to a child of God simply because his/her sin has already been imputed to Christ. 3️⃣ Was Jesus “born of God” and sinless? This too is available by faith. ✝️ 1 John 5:18 (KJV) We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. Note: all believers have committed sins of the flesh since being re-born. However, sin resides in the members of the flesh (the flesh is considered dead and buried at Calvary). This verse is speaking of your new spirit man that is as perfect as Christ, not your old dead fleshly man that is temporary and perishing (2 Cor 4:16). 4️⃣ Was Jesus made in the express image of God (Heb 1:3)? By faith you can become a new man! ✝️ Ephesians 4:24 (KJV) And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Don’t fall for false messages taught by false religions that cannot save! Any religion that teaches works righteousness, instead of faith righteousness is false!! Many false religions over the centuries have used deceptive teachings to control their followers by convincing them their brand of religion is the only path to salvation. This is an age old tactic by sinful men to make merchandise of you! Keep in mind: the gospel is simple, faith is simple and must be child like. If you’re burdened by your religion of rules and constant fear that you may not attain a level of righteousness that can save you; you are not following Christ and you have fallen for the schemes of the devil. Drop your religion and run to the cross - ✝️2 Corinthians 11:3 (KJV) But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. ✝️1 Corinthians 1:17 (KJV) For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. The cross offends those who seek to complicate salvation. It’s simple and it’s available to anyone and it’s a free gift 🎁 —— Romans 5:18 (b) (KJV) Even so by the righteousness of one (Jesus) 👉 the free gift 👈came upon all men unto justification of life. 🔥Why were the Jews destroyed? They sought salvation by WORKS: rituals, sacraments, rules, etc…. Not by FAITH!! 🔥Romans 9:32 (NASB95) Why? Because they (Israel) did not pursue it by faith, but as though it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone. Are you trying to earn what God said you should seek by faith? You too have stumbled…. ✝️✝️✝️✝️ By simple faith in the work of the cross you can be forgiven for all sins (past, present and future), made righteous and forever be clothed in His identity (Rom 4:6-8). Everything He has given to us is out of His grace— the favor we will never deserve. With God in His mercy, He stooped down to our level and redeemed us. All that is left for you to do, is seek Him by putting your faith in the - GOSPEL (1 Cor 15:1-4). God will save you, put His Spirit in you and make you a new creature…. Have you received the Spirit and become a new creation? 2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. If not, your sins are not considered covered and paid for and you are still dead in your sins — [John 8:24 (KJV) I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe NOT that I am [he], ye shall die in your sins].

I was heavily influenced by lordship salvation heresy for years by calvinists although I never was a calvinisy. It ain't anything else but legalism. People in it have lip service for grace to justify legalism. Ricci is so spot on with opposing lordshippers. If you wanna have a joyful, abundantly amazing life in Christ Jesus avoid legalism at its all forms in all costs. They may sound convincing when they oppose sin so much but that is what pharisees did also in Jesus's day. No one of us should be for sinning but our righteousness before God and the Gospel ain't Jesus AND how we live and submit our lives to Jesus, it is Christ Jesus alone, His is the glory, not ours. As Paul so famously said in Galatians 2, now I live, yet not I but Christ through me. What is that? Our eternal life is not about our flesh or our works in law but Jesus and in Him we have life, in Jesus Christ is our sancitifcation also when God sanctifies His people and christians should not sanctify themselves under law.

This message is intellectually Lazy. True faith always produces a changed life (2 Corinthians 5:17). The inner person is transformed by the Holy Spirit (Galatians 2:20), and the Christian has a new nature (Romans 6:6). Those with genuine faith—those who are submitted to the lordship of Christ—follow Jesus (John 10:27), love their brothers (1 John 3:14), obey God’s commandments (1 John 2:3; John 15:14), do the will of God (Matthew 12:50), abide in God’s Word (John 8:31), keep God’s Word (John 17:6), do good works (Ephesians 2:10), and continue in the faith (Colossians 1:21–23; Hebrews 3:14). Salvation is not adding Jesus to the pantheon of one’s idols; it is a wholesale destruction of the idols with Jesus reigning supreme. If you are saved your life will have evidence of it, that’s the point. It’s impossible to be saved and not live a changed life.
