Yes, homosexual behavior or homosexual sex is a sin because it will never produce offspring. That's it. Just like oral sex will never produce offspring. Masturbation will never produce offspring. Yet in a marriage I hope couples do all of these things because if you're going to be biblically accurate you better only have sex when you're going to get pregnant, and never be on the pill or use condoms or never get snipped, etc. See how quickly this goes from gospel-focused to a religion of rules??
God's intent for humanity is salvation.
John 6:38-40

Jesus says in John 3:36

You either have Jesus or you don't.
The Church has forgotten this because it's easier to turn Jesus into a religion than to disciple people in a relationship with Jesus.
Preaching to a homosexual about the "sin" of being a homosexual according to the Bible will never save them. Even if they get married and live in a heterosexual relationship they'll never be saved without Jesus.
Believing and trusting in Jesus has nothing to do with who you sleep with. You either trust Him or you don't.
One of the biggest lies today in American Christianity is the idea that Salvation is a limited partnership.
That if you hold up your end of the deal God will keep you saved. This mocks Jesus's sacrifice. If we could in any way earn or maintain our salvation then Jesus would never have had to die. The Church today says ok maybe you're born a homosexual, maybe it's not a choice. But don't ever act on it. Be a homosexual, but be celibate for life.
For a horny teenager, we say "Get married first." Why? Because of 1 Cor 7.
8 But I say to the unmarried and to the widows: It is good for them if they remain even as I am; 9 but if they cannot exercise self-control, let them marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion."
But to the horny homosexual teenager, we say never.
But it's not just about sex. Imagine if you're a guy who has always and will always be attracted to women. You have never been attracted to men, and the rule was marry a man because that's God's ideal or be single, you choose. Otherwise, you're willfully living in sin and therefore not a Christian.
I am a heterosexual man always have been but I have heard a number of homosexuals who share their stories, and questions.
Christians avoid sex like the plague and so it's no wonder why the Church is such a disaster on topics of sex.

Yes, God in the Garden created one man for one woman for one lifetime. However, God allowed the fall, knowing that every standard including living forever would fall with it.
The fact that all human beings die, is a fact, and one that shows the original creation no longer exists in our fallen world.
If Jesus living in a fallen world understood that the original creation no longer existed why speak about it?
Jesus's message wasn't about marriage or the rules about marriage, it was that with every Law and topic the audience (including us today) would see that we can't fulfill the perfect will of God.
We cannot extend our life to become eternal. So the reference to the perfect marriage as God intended it, should cause us to say "I can't meet the perfect will of God."
Just like when Jesus says in Matthew 22 the 2 greatest commandments. Our reaction isn't to go out and try to master loving God with all our being because as Paul points out in Romans 3 we can't without Jesus.
What Dr.Tim (whoever he is) fails to understand is that the Bible isn't pointing us to perfection. Jesus isn't pointing us to the Garden and saying go do this. He's pointing us to our need for the cross. He's saying this is the standard. You WILL NEVER reach it.
We see this in Matthew 5 when Jesus talks about adultery.
“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
Jesus is telling us all that we are all Adulterers.
Then Jesus speaks on divorce.
“Furthermore it has been said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.’
But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery.
What we do is read this passage and say only "sexual immorality" ie physical adultery is allowed for divorce.
Jesus isn't saying that. He's saying that a divorce can be granted to anyone under the clause of sexual immorality. After having classified EVERYONE as Adulterers and sexually immoral.
We look at this passage as a restriction, Jesus opens it wide up. The Law isn't about restrictions, it's about showing ALL of us we're sexually immoral, liars, idolaters, etc.

What many Christians fail to understand about this topic is that first most passages we claim to apply to this topic are easily debunked. Sodom was never destroyed because of homosexuality and there is ample biblical support. Leviticus 18 and Romans 1 are parallel passages and they aren't about homosexual marriages either. We aren't living in the "Days of Noah and Lot" because if you understand the "Days of Noah and Lot" you'd understand that those days will return in Revelation 11-18 at the last 3.5 years of the final 7 before Jesus returns and Satan and his angels are cat down to earth.
1 Corinthians 6 is the passage we need to examine to understand this topic as Christians.
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God."
First Christians miss the context.
Paul says Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Without Jesus no one is righteous.
Romans 3
9 What then? Are we better than they? Not at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin. 10 As it is written:“There is none righteous, no, not one;"
No one will inherit the Kingdom of God without the shed blood of Jesus.
Then Paul speaks specifically of some issues in the Corinth Church but on a wider scale he's speaking to all of us. Before you get to homosexuals, we see "Adulterers" having already seen Jesus's standard for Adulterers we all fit the title.
But Paul is specifically calling out various titles.
Do not be deceived. Fornicators (noun), idolaters (noun), adulterers (noun), homosexuals (noun), sodomites (noun), 10 thieves (noun), covetous (adj), drunkards (noun), revilers (noun), extortioners (noun) will inherit the kingdom of God.
You see for decades Pastors and Preachers have claimed Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed by God's judgment because of homosexuality. A simple 40 minute study on this topic will show how absurd this idea has been and in fact, it is so absurd that I'd classify it as heresy if not at least a clear false teaching.
However, this fear of God's judgment and the self-righteousness of the Church on this has banished the truth because the lie has been told for so long we just accept it. But we'd quickly realize this belief creates a contradiction. In Leviticus 18 God acknowledges that Egypt and the Israelites have been practicing the "list" for centuries. Yet God never destroyed Egypt. Babylon had homosexuality yet God didn't destroy it, or Rome, or Nineveh, or Israel. None of these experienced God's judgment like Sodom did because Sodom was never destroyed because of homosexuality.
Then Pastors and Preachers claimed that homosexuality was a choice. That God couldn't create homosexuals because that would contradict the Garden. Because although God created Adam if Homosexual men and women are created and it's not a choice the God in fact made Adam and Eve and Adam and Steve as the saying went. So Homosexuals were simply heterosexual people choosing homosexual behaviors. So choose to be straight. Choose to be how God made you to be. your natural heterosexual nature.
Yet Paul in 1 Corinthians labels homosexuals and sodomites as nouns not verbs.
Paul doesn't say those who engage in homosexuality (verb) will not inherent the Kingdom of God. Paul says "Homosexuals" (noun).
That's like saying "men (noun) won't inherit the kingdom of God." or "white (noun) people won't inherit the Kingdom of God.
Paul's point isn't about homosexuals it's about humanity. We are all sexually immoral, we are all doomed not to inherit the Kingdom of God.
But Paul goes on.
"...11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
Paul acknowledges that homosexuality existed in his day and Corinth wasn't destroyed because of homosexuals. Paul acknowledges that homosexuals are a noun not a verb. That there are heterosexuals and homosexuals and yes 98-99% of the population is heterosexual.
and lastly, it's irrelevant if you're heterosexual or homosexual if you're without the blood of Jesus, you're lost. If you have the blood of Jesus covering you then it's irrelevant whether you're heterosexual or homosexual because His blood has sanctified you.
