Use These CALMING Techniques to Relax In MINUTES

This is perhaps most apparent when we find ourselves overwhelmed by anxiety, negative thinking, and rumination. The question is, what can we do to regain mastery over our minds? What concrete steps can we take to self-soothe and get back to a state of equilibrium? Todays' episode of Impact Theory answers those questions, and many more. Helpful, power in numbers BUT… it is all gut physiology and neurotransmitter imbalances in my opinion. You can prove it to yourself by temporarily improving th eneurotransmitter production, but the challenge is how to do it long term without drugs that will help short term but eventually kill us.

It all starts by changing our relationship towards anxiety. We shouldn't see it as something bad but just an experience we are having in the body. When we perceive it as something bad we tend to resist it. What you resist persist! Instead we should welcome it, embrace it accept it, give it some love. When you do this you give it space to flow trough you instead of it getting stuck in your body when you fight it. This is not easy for most to do, its a process but its much more worth it in the long run than a quick fix tip that is temporary.

I needed this right now. There's this clenching feeling in my core and a feeling of void in my heart, I can't get rid of. I have been breathing slowly, focusing only on what I've control over, still I am so anxious. I need people to say warm words to me, I need people to confide in. Had a horrible childhood and a terrible adolescennce. As a coping mechanism I have become self sufficient inside and out, too afraid to connect with people.
