The coolest thing about being an atheist is that you can make up whatever hypothesis you want about the world, and it could be true! Mr. T can rule over your flock of wiener dogs while orange-painted caterpillars sing you songs. The only problem is that isn't where you live. The atheist likes to say that any universe is possible, but one universe is always rejected: the one with God. Ethan, Kyle, and Frank use the atheists' multiverse view to show their effort to refute the fine-tuning of our universe.And check out The Babylon Bee podcast for more great content and Christian satire. ???? ???????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????????????????????? @bucmcmaster Says:
Apologists get the fine tuning argument backwards: we are tuned for this universe, not the other way round. It is correct that if one or more of the laws of physics was altered life as we know it would not exist.......the key there being "life as we know it". Can you or anyone else say, given slightly different laws of physics, no life could exist? The honest answer is "no, that cannot be said." Life as we know it is fine tuned to exist in the universe we live in and it is entirely possible that other forms of life we cannot imagine could exist in a universe with different natural constants. The multiverse concept is just that: an hypothesis that springs from our growing understanding of quantum physics. No one claims it as fact as we do not yet have evidence to validate it as true..........unlike religious claims that likewise do not have valid evidence yet are asserted to be fact on faith alone. Could it not be asserted on faith that the multiverse is true? Would that not be as valid as biblical claims of truth? Neither of these assertions can be accepted as true on anything other than faith. Science, unlike religion, says faith is not enough. And I agree.
@alexoftheway8169 Says:
I must admit I had a similar thought, essentially using the multi verse in an effort to do away with the need for God as creator is futile because God exists in one of those states of existence and therefore just is! I heard the story go a little like this; before the discovery of the microwave background radiation, evidence of what was later to be coined the 'big bang', the atheists strongest claim was to say that the universe was eternal and this was their reason to not believe in God. Obviously the discovery of the big bang was a gift to theists as we know that the universe had a starting point and we had been saying this all along! Another great example was through Aquinus and his infinate regress argument pointing out the obserdity of an infinitely old universe. A brief description was that if an infinitely long chain of causes were needed to get to any event then nothing could ever happen in the first place! It certainly feels like people with a vested interest in wanting to edit God out just want to try and bring back the idea of the infinite universe again with the mutliverse theory, just like their forebears for exactly the same dogmatic reason.

This Universe is a incredible place to see for it takes a absolutely incredible Knowledge level for to create this Universe with MORE Suns/STARS then every peck of sand on every beach in this world for to exist. For each sun/star for can exist over billions of Yrs for us Mankind & Scientists must wakeup to see & Know for this Must take & took of KNOWLEDGE & INTELLIGENT for MUST exist 1st to make this place exist. We must understand our Human intellect & Ego must grow for to know it is a Scientific Fact You CANNOT create this Universe with INFINITY Sun/Stars to exist, a Sun for has NEVER ever Failed us a DAY, a Earth & Spin 1000 mph for give us a day Everyday & create us Mankind with Knowledge with very Highly Complex Brains in the Billion WITHOUT ANY KNOWLEDGE & INTELLIGENT 1ST FOR MUST EXIST 1ST. For it is scientific evidence a ALL Knowledge God can & Must exist & must exist 1st EXIST.

@5BBassist4Christ Says:
I do think there's more to the multiverse than an escape from the implications of the Fine Tuning Argument. Humans tend to obsess over the question of "what if?", both in history and in our individual lives. Regarding history, you can watch some episodes of Alternate History Hub, where they look at different historical moments and consider what would have happened if a certain thing turned out differently. We can also see it in the giant hole in the Holocaust Museum in Israel, which represents the hole in society of all the would-have been art, science, and philosophies if some anonymous person who died in the holocaust was allowed to live. Or we can see it in the abortion debate, as we don't know what kind of live the person dying could grow up to live. Personally, we can think of our past hurts and triumphs in life. "What if I married the love of my life?" "What if I pursued that job opportunity?" All of these things can exist in the multiverse, and perhaps, we find comfort in knowing somewhere is a world better than our own, -particularly if we reject the afterlife.

MULTIVERSE. What's the point?😳
@davonbenson4361 Says:
Even if the Multiverse Theory is true, what created the boundaries that are in between itself. Barriers eludes to a designer.
@brabbelbeest Says:
This seems somewhat dishonest and misleading. Firstoff he is yet again a creationists that confuses scientific conclusions with atheism. The notion of a multiverse isn't a atheistic claim, it's a scientific hypothesis, there is nothing atheistic about it. I wouldn't be surprised if there are a number of theistic scientists that support it too. Secondly as mentioned before, it is a hypothesis. This means it's a possible explanation that still fits within our understanding of the world, but it hasn't been confirmed by evidence yet.
@SojournerDidimus Says:
The multiverse is the prime example of pseudo-science. It is *by definition* unprovable and unfalisifiable, it is therefore *blind faith.*

I accept the multiverse theory as a possibility but in every possible universe there's the same God. God is eternal meaning he stretches throughout all space and time, not just our space and time.
@AnnoyingMoose Says:
If there are an infinite number of universes out there then there are at least 1,000,000,000 universes that are EXACTLY IDENTICAL to this one down to the position and momentum of EVERY sub-atomic particle at EVERY moment in time.

These guys should research the history of their religion. Christianity originated with Judaism, that's a given. Guess what Judaism originated from? The earlier polytheistic Canaanite religion. The original Israelites were indigenous Canaanites. El was the chief deity of the earlier Canaanite religion, Asherah was his wife, Baal his son and Anat his daughter. El was the original God of the Israelites. Watch "Dr Christine Hayes on the Origins of Yahweh". She's a Yale University professor who covers the history of the earlier polytheistic Canaanite religion and how it evolved into Judaism. This video is on the Pinecreek channel. If you fast forward to the 33 minute mark you can skip to the Canaanite history. The first 33 minutes is about the Exodus.

@alanbaraka9800 Says:
Did Frank Turek seriously accuse someone else of committing a dodge? This coming from the one who claims a god to exist but lacks the testable evidence to demonstrate this god to exist?
@gerardjellison6068 Says:
Science has found no example of a phenomenon that happens only once. If the universe is a result of a scientific process, it’s natural to expect that this process will happen multiple times. If you reject or ridicule (as here) the likelihood of multiple universes, you are assuming that the origin of the universe is not within the domain of science. That is, you are assuming the thing you are claiming to prove, which of course is not OK.
@RobertA-oi6hw Says:
Is a multiverse possible I mean who knows? I think it's more plausible to believe that there are multiple dimensions rather than multiple universes but again who knows? It's fun to think about but kind of pointless.
@Scorpion-my3dv Says:
Psalm 19:1-4 The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. 2 Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language Where their voice is not heard. 4 Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. AIG- God made his handiwork so clear that even a child can see it (Romans 1:18–20). The beauty of His work is inescapable—and an undeniable witness to His existence. ICR- God has created man with 100 trillion cells, each of which is a wonder of microminiaturization. The biochemical processes that occur moment by moment are nothing less than astounding. The bewildering complexity of these tiny functional units was acknowledged even before recent discoveries of how cells operate at the nanotechnological level. If you could build a motor one millionth of a millimetre across, you could fit a billion billion of them on a teaspoon. It seems incredible, but biological systems already use molecular motors on this scale. Indeed, "it seems incredible" to suggest that such sophistication is the result of chance, time, and genetic mistakes!

I honestly had a theory that God made multiple universe's simply to watch how everyone's choices differ in each universe, so that way when they die, he'd show them all the possible outcomes in their life. I don't hold to this theory entirely because it's impossible, but the thought still lingers.
@boltrooktwo Says:
Blind random chance is the least reasonable, probable, or scientific answer but apparently it is the one accepted by the "scientific consensus" and tyranny over scholarship.
@workinprogress9613 Says:
"If every possible universe is out there...then in one of them there is the Biblical God." The problem with that is that it presupposes that God is part of the universe. But God is transcendent. Still more, no universe/multiverse is even possible unless GOD IS! Without him, there could/would not be anything.

Oh good grief, really? What with disease, natural disaster, our hard won reliance on medicine, most generations ever having existed suffering from death in childbirth, you can't say the universe is fine tuned for life. Be careful of losing critical perspective in a circle jerk like this.

Anything you can dream up will exist in some universe out there, except God. Atheists know that all those nonsensical things do not exist. On top of that, they still have to explain and prove that a universe generator exists out there as well as how that came into existence. But it won't be God. Sure looks like they are looking for a cause beyond our universe, and at the same still denying the need for a cause. If we split the atheists up into factions based on the universe model they prefer, there would be a half dozen more religions already. Problem is, if any one of those factions is right, every other is wrong. Or they could actually all be wrong. But still it cannot be God.

@oldscorp Says:
If there is an infinite number of universes and everything is possible, why are you so sure THIS ONE isn't the one with God ? Especially since THIS UNIVERSE obviously hints at a designer, through the finetuning characteristic, the irreducible complexity of life, and Earth being at the center of the universes gravitational mass ? You can't dodge the question "what is the most reasonable answer ?" I learned one thing from life: The more you postpone truth kicking you in the head, the more momentum it builds.
@markh1011 Says:
With Turek and his buddies I don't know if its ignorance or dishonesty at play. I doubt they care. The multiverse is a consequence of inflation theory...and another theory I can't remember right now. Paul Davies is not an agnostic astronomer he's one of the most referenced of the Christian astronomers. ..sigh... Then Turek continues his claims that the multiverse is only a reference to his religion. Ignorance or dishonesty? Probably both.
