My amazing and talented wife Lisa is releasing her new book Radical Confidence, which you can preorder - and get the bonuses she's created for you - at https://www.radicalconfidence.com. When you read this book, Lisa will teach you 10 No-BS Life Lessons to become the hero of your own life and take MASSIVE bold action to achieve your potential! Are you feeling you are lacking motivation or are unsure how to achieve your goals? Then head on over to https://unstuck.impacttheory.com. There you can register and get access to a free workshop. It's a simple fact of being a human that, at some point in your life, you're going to face adversity. The question is - how are you going to choose to face it? What will be your mentality? Will you choose the victim mentality? Or the victor mentality? When Former Navy SEAL Jason Redman was severely wounded by a spray of machine gun fire in Iraq, he had a choice: either assume the same victimhood narrative as everyone around him… Or hold fast to what he calls the Overcome Mindset. In today's episode, Jason tells his incredible story of how he became a Navy SEAL against all odds, bounced back from failure as a leader, and not only recovered from a firefight that nearly killed him… But rose to become a voice of courage and leadership in the wounded warrior community. SHOW NOTES: 00:00 | Overcoming the Odds 10:33 | Fighting Against the Victim Mentality 26:44 | How the Overcome Mindset Works 29:12 | Becoming a Navy SEAL 41:32 | Jason's Near-Fatal Firefight 56:37 | Dealing With Aftermath 1:06:40 | No Bad Days 1:16:00 | What Defines Good Leadership QUOTES: 'The greatest gift you have is you have a choice. You have a choice. Freewill is one of the greatest things we have as humans.' [05:31] 'A victim mentality limits your success in this life. You know, you will stay wherever you are, and you will achieve the limit of what you believe.' [12:38] 'Sitting there and focusing all your blame and time on the fact that your perfect plan, or something happened, or your world got thrown upside down, accomplishes nothing - nothing.' [17:32] 'We think that we need to be tough and do these things on our own. But sometimes, you know, it's okay to get help. It's okay to say I'm struggling, especially mentally.' [59:15] 'At the end of the day, leadership, teamwork, your ability to overcome adversity… all those things are within us.' This is very interesting. I respect your decision to deal with trauma and challenge the way you have. It fascinates me that you are focusing on handling things from the outside instead of how some people turn in word. I am in time in my life where I am turning inward by choice. Which is I think different from your approach. And like I said I think both are worth examining and growing from. I am studying Eckhart Tolle, Kyle Cease And other similar strands of being present as opposed to dwelling with the past and future thinking of the EGO, and all the things that are connective when we look inside ourselves that go with that. A lot of inward work involves really building a relationship with yourself and understanding that only you I can do the work, which includes many things like releasing things that you've been pushing down, addressing your inner child, Meditation and healing and taking your connection to God's creation the universe to new heights by discovering yourself and that connection to the universe. So I am only like one out of seven chunks through this video. But I am really enjoying listening to you, and I'm being enlightened through your experiences that you are sharing. Thank You.

Dear Tom and Mark, 'metaverses' been in existence for a decade or two and there are thousands of them. From VR Chats to games. Really, you are not inventing anything recolutionary. It's just strapping few shiny toys on top of what is already working elsewhere. Feel somewhat bad for people that are excited about 'metaverse', nfts and cryptos 😂 Furthermore, I've been following this channel for almost two years, watched/listened to tens of videos and improved myself massively over this time. But this and the direction this channel goes to. It's just sad, very sad. I couldn't even finish this video...

When others make us feel helpless it only breeds more helplessness. You were fighting off others making you feel helpless You rose up over negative expectations of others.
@tritzia Says:
Thanks for the inspiration. Self pity and victim mentality leaves us unthankful and bitter. But there is also a certain amount of time for mourning. If we skip mourning I believe it messes us up more. it’s a balancing act of emotions God bless you in your journey of life. You are blessing others will benefit from your story

1:00:35 " One" is the song he's thinking of. it's based off " Johnny Got His Gun." James HEtfield had nightmares from that book.

Rarely someone's talk or life storie sticks with me mostly because its either made up for good marketing or its a joke compared to mine, but this guys sxit and the way he frames it really makes me rethink certain decisions and my mindset in the last few months since I kinda started slacking off after I made a decent amount of money. I've been falling in and out of nihilism most my life but this time it really got me, just what I needed to start doing my thing and getting back on my grind. Much respect to Jason and I imagine how much of a father figure he is to his kids just by the way he frames and talks about life.

Amazing guy such strength but war still sucks. Just think how powerful these men and women in the military would if they put down their guns,how powerful this world would be if the energy went into good causes through choosing PEACE ✌️ Not meant to go through this kind of pain and suffering and infliction on others,especially on the backend of these dirty corrupt oligarchs who are in it only for profit. What a mess humanity is. I’m from a military background. It sucks

Lost everything in my life (including my 2 grandkids in an accident) 6 years ago. God, this resonates with me. For everyday I felt life was hopeless I fought my ass off to find some kind of happiness. Not easy, but if one keeps getting up and fighting it IS possible to find peace and happiness. Loved this 💕
