The story is complete bullshit and nonsense, and not even in a fun way like part 1, they turned Bayonetta into a parody of herself as if it was some type of empowerment message, just to say "would you like cringe girl luca to be your new hero? Wait, are you leaving? Well too bad - it's gonna happen anyway for reasons that are stupid...". This game felt like a stack of baffling and silly choices made in a rush or just spiteful for no reason other than to shut people up who were asking where the game was for all the years before release, so they'd never ask "where is Bayonetta 4?".

The Violetta levels are fine the first time you play the game, but damn do they ruin subsequent playthroughs with how limited her moveset is compared to Bayonetta.
They really should have given you the option of just playing as Bayonetta on replay.

To avoid spoilers, I saved this video in my queue for when I finally beat Bayonetta 3 (a day one purchase!).
Almost a year later, I've accepted that I'm never going to beat this game. I loved 1 & 2 so much, I purchased the first one at least four times and the sequel twice. This game is garbage.

Even though I agree with everything propositioned, want to praise the Paris chapter as the best chunk of the entire game
It’s half the length of the others, zombies do a Michael Jackson dance, you fight a clock tower and then get the ability to _summon_ the clock tower, you fight a tapdancing jazz magician and then get to _become_ a tapdancing jazz magician, you get actual characterization on multiple fronts, then to cap it all off the minigame final boss has none of the annoying sluggishness of the other chapters
