Just because something is replaceable doesn't make it worthless. Even bitcoin is replaceable as anyone can fork it and yet it is valueble because of the network effects.
Have you ever heard of network effects? Ethereum is king in activity and therefor value. You also mentioned arbitrum and optimism which are L2 of ethereum so you might want to readup on that.

I believe that arbitrum will surpass ethereum because they have altcoins that utilize layer 0. Ethereum was a test run for innovation. Here is where the real products rise and BTC along with it. I think buying BTC is a safe choice but if you want the gains they are in the ARB network.
