I'm sorry, but I couldn't find specific information about CES 2024 in the search snippets provided. However, based on current trends, it is likely that AI, IoT, Quantum Computing, and advancements in Machine Learning and Deep Learning were among the top technology trends discussed at CES 2024. As for the statement Coding is Dead in addressing decision-making processes, it could suggest a shift towards more automated and AI-driven decision-making systems rather than traditional manual coding processes.

I love those "democratized” words around. Really? So previously anyone can’t just learn how to code from tons of tons of tutorials? It’s only „democratized” by ai 🤨
@SteveFarmerMusic Says:
■■■■■■■ When it comes to Tesla and EV competition, you have to ask what the game is in the first place. Are others going after full autonomy without geomapped constraints? Are they able to scale into mass production, and the company even survive beyond what's basically no more than prototypes, or even merely a few high cost low volume production models? (clears throat... Lucid). This is all critically important. Tesla is far, far ahead in both aspects of that game. I guess we'll see!

Using natural language to produce code already works well with ChatGPT - I have started doing that on my project(s) and it enables code to be generated in a matter of seconds compared to several days without it! And the code always compiles correctly. It does not always do exactly what is required, but after some small modifications, it usually ends up correct. Very powerful tool. This AI stuff is only going to get better.....
@SevenDeMagnus Says:
Cool but I'm not sure about natural language as coding coz' that'll compile bigger and it won't be as customized, it'll be just templates. This has been tried before the most successful is SLANG. God bless.

Seriously, young people gotta just learn plumbing or be an electrician. The AI won't be able to take those jobs for a long time... at least.

For a "minimalist" you sure are very lavish with your denegration of a person that you've probably never even met, calling the AWS VP of Tech a "duchebag". Are you always this arrogant or do you have to work at it?
@ping1273 Says:
We here in sweden acutaly aslo have self-driving taxis outside IKEA
@jayak3768 Says:
AWS VP of technology really believes that you can just dictate computer code to be written and it will turn out the way you want. Unbelievable

if we all get replaced, and be jobless, and have no money, who da fak would buy your product. Replace your employee = your sales go down, and you got another failed company. Yes, ai will replace you but for a limited time, until the economy restarts

I’ve had majority of my holdings in tech stocks and irrespective of market changes, I’ve done pretty well especially with apple’s P/E(price to earnings ratio) gaining over 30% this past decade, now my questions is what stocks do you think will be the next apple in terms of growth for the next decade.
@GameCritics Says:
The problem is cars will not be available in the near future. Its just a show and has 0 practicality or it will not work in IRL
@_AbUser Says:
I would say AI is a bubble.. Let's remembering the history.. AI theme always appearing when some one was found how so solve several tasks using it.. and nothing more.. AI was known for a long time but it doesn't changes peoples life to dramatically.. Corporations just trying to catch the customers attention using hyped words like the "bitcoin".. to sell the tea.. ))))
@PurpleTeamer Says:
Is it still worth learning coding ? And if so, which language would you recommend. Practising Python, Powershell for automatizing stuff as part of my job.

It would be interesting to bring together a team of experts to debate the topic "Is coding dead?". This is what GPT-4 says. I thought it was pretty good although it could also mention how coding is useful in prompt engineering, especially when working with API's. "Importance of Understanding: A fundamental grasp of programming is crucial for effectively using AI, troubleshooting, and customizing software beyond basic AI capabilities. AI's Limitations: AI operates within set parameters and lacks the ability to innovate or understand context like a human coder. Human oversight is necessary to ensure AI-generated code meets quality and ethical standards. Human-AI Collaboration: The future of coding is a collaborative relationship between humans and AI, combining human creativity with AI's efficiency. In essence, while AI is transforming how we approach coding, the understanding and skills of human programmers remain invaluable."
@FinancewithXibaobao Says:
What about R1 Rabbit which is using LAMs Large Action Models rather than LLMs Large Language Models?
@Ruktiet Says:
It’s obvious that not only coding is soon going to be dead. Most jobs are. At least for the majority of tasks. And even then, who’s to say how fast this AI-driven controllers combined with physical actuators will be able to take over just about any non-social, non-intricate, organic task? And then what? There will be very few jobs left and income inequality will be huge. I am getting more and more of a luddite seeing these things happening. Also, how does this make life better, really? We are still getting sicker and sicker with more and more obesity, diabetes, autoimmune diseases on the rise. Maybe we should study Maslow’s triangle a bit more before we invest everything in these less fundamentel stuff. Like who significantly really benefits from transparent TVs?
@user-fj1xx7tk9y Says:
AI will be the mother of all bubbles to ever burst in the history of human existence. It will set the human race back decades.
