God of War Ragnarök is an action-adventure video game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It released worldwide on November 9, 2022, for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, marking the first cross-gen release in the series. It will be the ninth installment in the God of War series, the ninth chronologically, and the sequel to 2018's God of War.
Ragnarök is set in the world of Norse mythology but expands upon the previous game's narrative, with an even greater focus on exploration and open-world gameplay. While God of War (2018) allowed the player to access six of the nine realms of Norse mythology, Ragnarök's expanded focus sees the player exploring each of the nine realms, including the new additions of Svartalfheim, the industrial abode of the Dwarves; Vanaheim, the lush home of the Vanir gods; and Asgard, the golden land of the Æsir gods. Midgard, the primary realm of the 2018 installment, is heavily featured but is now a frigid wasteland, dramatically changed by Fimbulwinter, a three-year long winter that began upon the conclusion of the previous game. The Lake of the Nine, previously navigable by means of a boat in the previous game, is now frozen over. Svartalfheim is explorable to the same degree as Midgard was in the previous game. Alfheim, Helheim, and Niflheim all return, with an expanded focus and character exploration.
Taking place three years following the events of the previous game, Fimbulwinter, a great winter that spans three summers, is drawing to a close which will begin the prophesied Ragnarök. Kratos and his teenage son Atreus begin to traverse the nine realms to seek out a means to prevent Ragnarök while attempting to uncover answers behind Atreus' identity as Loki. Their journey will lead them to Týr, the Norse God of War. Their conflict will lie with Thor, the Norse God of Thunder.

My theory is that Tyr was always dead. Odin knew telling Atreus not to look for Tyr would just make Atreus wanna do it even more. He waited and fooled them. Why do you think he "slept" in a broom closet. Probably just locked the door and ported away while others thought he was sleeping. He kept trying to avoid a war with this persona but encouraging Atreus to find his path. Only thing I don't understand is how or why Durlin guided them to a fake? I guess his instructions were vague after all

Also, those Berserker's are definitely tough. They are at a power level 8, from a scale of 5 to 9. 5 being the first one you beat back in Mid Gard. They power rating let's you know where you should be with your weapons and armor before attempting them. I found the whole list of them with there locations, power levels, etc online. I've been doing them in order of power with the King one last. He's a 9!!! Thats why it's so important to make sure you don't fly through the end game...you want to find all those extra relics, armor, etc. Every little bit prepares you.

I know you just want to get certain things done so it says 100%, but you missed so many chests in this video by not exploring it fully. Even though we've been here way earlier, they added so much stuff. Its like coming back again for the first time and giving you a whole new level to explore. Alot of extra rewards, (armor stuff, relics, etc). I think you missed a Raven as well, and right before the Berserker, you walked right up to the thing your supposed to stick your chisel in and cut, and you turned around and walked away...lol.
But great job with the series! Loved it.

I did not give the game permission to make me cry like this. The fact Brok will never know Mimir finally figured out the riddle... Sindri and his grief and how he keeps deciding to be alone... I don't know how the music sounds with the scene, but there was definitely something somber and impactful with the silence.

I've thought about this a couple of times. Mimir bounces around on Kratos' hip, but never closes his eyes. It's probably good he doesn't have a stomach with all the motion sickness he would certainly experience...

I struggled on them awhile then I found a build video for fighting them. Brakes down what is the best armor,relic,amulet,charms and your heavy and light attacks for making it easier. And killing off Brok definitely made me a little weepy eyed hands down my favorite character in the game! I can only hope Luna will be able to fill those big boots of his!
