Warframe is a free-to-play action role-playing third-person shooter multiplayer online game developed and published by Digital Extremes. Released for Windows personal computers in March 2013, it was ported to the PlayStation 4 in November 2013, the Xbox One in September 2014, the Nintendo Switch in November 2018, the PlayStation 5 in November 2020 and the Xbox Series X/S in April 2021.
The New War is a narrative arc involving the Lotus returning to the Sentients, preparing to wage war against the Tenno. Rather than being only an active quest of its own, the beginning of the New War is presented as a series of mini-quests and cutscenes consisting of Chimera Prologue, Erra, and The Maker, while being referenced in Sentient-related lore and events.
In Warframe, players control members of the Tenno, a race of ancient warriors who have awoken from centuries of suspended animation far into Earth's future to find themselves at war in the planetary system with different factions. The Tenno use their powered Warframes along with a variety of weapons and abilities to complete missions. While many of the game's missions use procedurally-generated levels, newer updates have included large open world areas similar to other massively multiplayer online games as well as some story-specific missions with fixed level design. The game includes elements of shooting and melee games, parkour, and role-playing to allow players to advance their Tenno with improved gear. The game includes both player versus environment and player versus player elements. It is supported by microtransactions, which lets players purchase in-game items using real money, but also offers the option to earn them at no cost through grinding.

If you've been playing this game for years you know it has gone to shit and DE is losing players. Majority of content creators have quit and for a good reason. I reckon this is just another attempt to recruit new players and ride the wave for as long as people will suck it up. I had thousands of hours in this game and I loved it so much but it's lost its direction and that makes me sad.

With 1000 hours on the game and its still feels like am a newbie. Game is really interesting, cinematics, graphics, sound, and hey, it's a pay to rush but doesn't cut down the fun. Totally excited for the new war. When mother (Lotus) left, joining the sentients, I was devastated. Now seeing her (Natah) with the very entity thats against the Tenno, I can feel the emotion come back!! Time to grind the 7hrs.

Many people do not understand how fun and addicting this game really is once you put the hours in. You do not need to grind super hard, and just play at your own pace. In my humble opinion, this game is really worth the time playing and is best played casually. The lore, customizations, places, weapons, warframes, and the gameplay itself is very incredible.

Yeah, Warframe is pretty much on all platforms. Even a mobile port is coming. So it'll be on Steam, Epic, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and mobile. Most likely both iOS and Android.
Also, cross-save and cross-play is coming too. So you'll be able to play with the same account on all platforms and with players from all platforms.

I am hoping what they said in interviews is true and the post new war is a standard gear check and perhaps difficulty rebalance across the invaded star chart, because there is literally zero progression beyond lvl 50 on the starchart and you have to go do limited alerts or steel path (basically game with 0 difficulty settings that only has a hardcore mode). Im not getting hopes up but maybe they can rebalance the post new war mod scaling to not be so extreme that everything dies in one shot because your guns do 32x the base DPS
