Forspoken is an action role-playing game developed by Luminous Productions and published by Square Enix. It released on January 24, 2023, on PlayStation 5 and Windows.
The protagonist, Frey Holland is a directionless, yet street smart young woman who has persevered despite her rough upbringing in New York City. And her life hasn't really gotten any easier now that she's about to turn 21. Things take a turn for the unexpected when she's magically transported to Athia, a land where fantasies and nightmares are suddenly very real. Playing as Frey, you'll need to harness newly discovered magical abilities to battle the monsters that inhabit the land. To have a chance of returning home, she'll also have to contend with the Tantas — destructive and twisted all-powerful who have dominion over Athia.
The player character, Frey, has access to a variety of magical spells. Following each combat encounter, the player will earn experience points. Frey's cloak can be upgraded in order to improve her combat efficiency and stats, while applying nail polish unlocks special abilities. The player can also craft new items, or rest at a safe location in order to restore health. While the player is exploring the game world, they may encounter a "breakstorm", a scenario similar to a horde mode in which waves of creatures spawn and attack Frey. The storm will end with the appearance of a named boss character.

About the Cloak, "Lief"; you *CAN* switch-out Attributes of Cloaks and Necklaces, so-long as you have already found items with new Attributes *AND* have the items for the new Attributes. Once you get Olas' "Diversify" Crafting Skill, you can add a 4th Attribute to any Cloak & Necklace that didn't already have a 4th Attribute on it.

I'm liking the game very fun but you can't just stick to the main story because you're going TO MISS EVERYTHING materials you need to upgrade your cloak your necklace and there's certain moves that you have to find also in those chests scattered around the world & those mana pools you have time pick up in for you to upgrade you spells it seems overwhelming yeah but you got to do it if you want to level up and not be struggling trying to be a boss.

The light things u get to upgrade remind me of saints row 3 or 4......the one where u have to fight aliens an ur trapped in a game like thing more of a software lol but anyway the game u get these blue lights that appear everywhere an anywhere up down left an right an u use them to unlock more abilities to do more damage jump higher an a ability called nuke where the higher u are an u downward dash toward the ground from the sky u will do mass amounts of damage to anything around human alien or even the normal interaction peices in-game

At this point, I haven’t seen any spoilers about the ending of the game or what exactly is going on…but I read a book called the transall saga when I was younger…I’m getting the same vibes from this game. Basically, a teen was transported by a blue light while camping in the desert. He doesn’t know it right away, but as it turns out, it’s the future earth and hundreds of years have gone by. I don’t remember exactly but it was some sort of virus or sickness that did something to the population. Anyway, he grows up there and years later gets transported back to his time with the knowledge of what happens in the future. He becomes a doctor and finds a cure for the disease….something like that. Very good book.
