Forspoken is an action role-playing game developed by Luminous Productions and published by Square Enix. It released on January 24, 2023, on PlayStation 5 and Windows.
The protagonist, Frey Holland is a directionless, yet street smart young woman who has persevered despite her rough upbringing in New York City. And her life hasn't really gotten any easier now that she's about to turn 21. Things take a turn for the unexpected when she's magically transported to Athia, a land where fantasies and nightmares are suddenly very real. Playing as Frey, you'll need to harness newly discovered magical abilities to battle the monsters that inhabit the land. To have a chance of returning home, she'll also have to contend with the Tantas — destructive and twisted all-powerful who have dominion over Athia.
The player character, Frey, has access to a variety of magical spells. Following each combat encounter, the player will earn experience points. Frey's cloak can be upgraded in order to improve her combat efficiency and stats, while applying nail polish unlocks special abilities. The player can also craft new items, or rest at a safe location in order to restore health. While the player is exploring the game world, they may encounter a "breakstorm", a scenario similar to a horde mode in which waves of creatures spawn and attack Frey. The storm will end with the appearance of a named boss character.

You don't need to find a "Pilgrim's Refuge" to Craft/Upgrade your Gear; *IF* you have any "Firewood", you can set-up Camp where you can Craft/Upgrade your Gear, Rest, anything you would do in a "Pilgrim's Refuge" (save for setting any new "Spellcraft Challenges" because you need a 'Book-Cupboard')... :)

You can actually do a complete free fall from any height as long as you have at least one kinda shard of stamina!! It’s when you are out of stamina that you can lose health from falling:)

Agreed. I'm glad I didn't listen to all the reviews. The game is actually really good, only thing I don't like is the shitty camera angles. Also the fact you can't string together things like parkour and your magical abilities like gliding and the whip fluidly to scale cliffs and things like that.

When you play are you listening for the clues from the bosses you fight . They give you clues about frey. Like the first boss when you looking at the paintings. They pan into eyes on the one painting and then into Frey's eyes. When they point at frey and say demon. They point at the cuff she wearing. But it looks like they pointing at frey but they are not. When you do side quests it will help you in this game. Thank you for playing sur. Hope you keep playing. There is a good storyline in this game

People say the dialogue is cheesy but we see just as much Cheddar and Brie in games like Kingdom Hearts, Horizon and Hi-fi rush and we still love it. 😕
