I'm not religious but in a way it sounds religious to me because in the Bible it says you can only find true love to the Lord he is the only way constantly trying to seek it everyone else you're never going to find it so maybe that's what we're missing is a relationship with the Lord Jesus

I think this stems from humans seeking validation through others. We want to believe in ourselves, but can't believe for sure until one or many validate that belief. It's such a dangerous thing, especially with the things we seek most. Love being one of them. I can't think of when seeking validation from another person is over all a good thing. It's a double edged blade, and the other side is fucking sharp.
